Finding this video today (along with the one of Neil singing Dear Lord and Father) has genuinely made my summer. What voices, what talent, what emotion. Wonderful.

He still seems unhinged to me, like he;s quite incoherent in alot of this interview. This first part where he's talking about being in such a hurry to get to the scientology is very odd. Spirituality isn't something you come by quickly. He'd been there all day and expected to get the answers before he went home? That's now how a religious works. No wonder he got dragged down the rabbit hole. I am not a Scientologist and think it is a dangerous cult. I can see why they would zero in on someone like Jason. He's vulnerable. doesn't seem to have learnt critical thought in his life (despite going to a fairly fancy high school where you would expect to get a good education) and just took what they said to him at face value. If you break down the ideology it makes no sense. its the same thing as anti vaxxers and conspiracy theorists who believe Hilary Clinton is the devil and Obama was responsible for 9/11. People who can't take a step back and ask themselves if the things they believe are logical. The world is not flat.

Well, my experience was the opposite of Nick's, I had never heard of Neil before this (other than Duke's occasional cover at concerts). I enjoyed the prolonged spat however and will listen to more of Neil's stuff now. Thanks for sharing.

So going into this I'd never heard of Duke Special, but I liked what I was hearing. I jumped onto iTunes to check him out further, and found out that I already owned some of his stuff (I buy random songs I hear without paying too much attention to who sings them). His music is great, but Neil Hannon will still always be my favourite. Divine Comedy forever!

I love them both, No Cover Up is one of my fave Duke songs, the lyrics are exquisite and Neil does a great job as does Duke on Mastermind. Two fabulously talented men. Neil is like the Prof Henry Higgins to Duke's Eliza Dolittle!!!

I so wish this whole thing would be released for download, or even better, Neil and Duke do an entire album together, they're brilliant individually but together there's real magic!
