    Great video, only one I can find on the internet. My lever broke rather than the trim bracket like yours. I’ve got it back together but it’s loose. Did you have a white plastic washer on yours?

    Thanks for this! I have as 21' Cape Craft with similar hull to the Carolina Skiff and with the same issues. Following your instructions I replaced the two small black rollers with the two red wheels from Harbor Freight, only I was able to retain the original lag bolt used as an axel without the need to construct a new axel. I then filled in the gaps with large galvanized washers since the larger wheels needed to be spaced out a bit further from the center than the original smaller rollers. Worked like a charm. Thanks again, you saved me tons of aggravation!

      I asked Richard he informed me it’s a basic primer you can normally get at Napa his company have it in bulk so they don’t have a name they get drums of the primer.

      @@loveyourdj Bought the parts at Lowe's in the plumbing section, and picked up a set of long handed pliers (curved and straight) for $6 at Harbor Freight. They were a must have item for the passenger side fix. Finished the job about a month ago. The car was returned to its 'driveway' status, so I can keep working on destroying what is left of the clear coat. It looks completely beat, but still a good car to drive. Most importantly, it is no longer filling up with water. Has survived several severe downpours. I'm chalking this as done.

    I've a similarly looking issue in my Toyota Matrix. I was told I'd have to take it to auto glass shop to remove and reseal windshield. Any idea how can I check where exactly it is leaking, on a side rail, or under the windshield seal? Thanks.

    • @loveyourdj
      @loveyourdj 2 года назад

      I am not a sure with a Toyota but what I would encourage you to do is to check out RUclips for any videos that are applicable to your vehicle. I would imagine it’s similar to the Honda and that you takeoff a ring groove trim and get to the body seal. We did not have to take out a windshield to fix this car but just use body sealer on the welds of the body.

      Drew I would use the body sealer they recommend , the 3M body sealer. I would hate for you to do all the work just to have it fail in the future. 3M Ultrapro Autobody Sealant, 08302, Clear Color, High-Solids, Heavy-Bodied, Fast-Curing, Solvent-Based, 5 oz Tube
