Tip: High point is dry camp, there are 2 streams about 0.4miles if you're coming from the south before High point, and it's the only water source at time until you reach Tilly Jane creek.

Thank you for sharing your video! I had to subscribe to your channel. I became the 132rd friend. Have a great day my friend ~❤🤗
Can you tell us the exact trails you connected to make your loop? And, what's your pack? What pack and pants do you have? I love the Smokies in the early morning. I especially like going up Alum Cave and topping out near Mt. Leconte and feeling like you are walking in the clouds. I'm lucky to live close enough to get out there quite a bit. Great video! Subscribed!
Thanks for sharing. What was the most difficult section of trail?
Gotta love that tripod at the end!
Thank you so much for sharing. I don't think I'll ever make it to Iceland. It's nice to be able to see its beauty from more than a picture.
I was just there. I camped higher up above the lake. It’s an amazing place.
what's your camping chair of choice? i'm in the market for one and yours look comfy
Any time on Shasta is special. Those soft snow conditions make it tough. Took me 2 trips to summit and it was much better conditions when I summited except for the crazy winds which are pretty common there. Nice video!
Nice video! Soothing music as well? Doing this in two weeks!
Joe- fantastic video. I just submitted yesterday. The climb from Lake Helen is the hardest part. It’s no fun starting at 4am. Especially if you didn’t get any sleep the night before (as in my case). Once your at the top of Red Banks, the rest of the climb is easy. I highly recommend you try again. I went with a friend - and it was both of our first times. I’m not sure I would’ve had the willpower to push through if I went solo. I have a IT band injury that was horrendously painful. Glacading down the mountain was a gift from God- so much fun. Absolutely the most fun I’ve had in a long time. Real freedom. Next time you glacade, try using the pointy end of your ice axe as the brake (digging the pointed nose of the ice axe into the snow, using the long handle as leverage). This is much safer I think because you could end up hitting yourself in the face with the axe. Long and short- thanks for making this video, great job. I think this will inspire ppl to go check out the mountain. God bless.
Great job Joe. We bumped into you at the ranger station. How much water did you take w you on the MTN the first day. Also how heavy was your pack?
Good job on the video, Joe. Music is very calming. I was just on Shasta that Sunday for Mother's Day weekend and wasn't able to summit. Will have to try again some other time when I'm in California again.
Your video was helpful, Joe! I am planning to climb next week. Let´s see!
Same here! Safe travels.
I enjoyed this. Thanks for sharing!
What size tent is that one?
Nara’s SUB!! Great video!! the views were amazing, the footage was amazing, and I can’t wait to see the rest of your videos. I love to hike, travel, and cruise. I would like to hear you talking in the video, though, but you didn’t absolutely great job. Thanks for sharing.
Great trip, gorgeous vistas. Very wise decision to turn around at the ice field. I'm surprised that it was that cold (41F) in late August. I'll hike from Mammoth Lakes to Tuolumne Meadows from August, 11th to 14th this year. And your video made me thinking about packing some warmer gear, just in case... Happy hiking
Nice! I just got home from hiking Black Rock to Juniper Flats. Almost did the Stubbe loop but ran out of time. Was there any water at the spring?
I remember passing T.I. Lake twice, once going to Yosemite Valley via Donahue Pass and the other trip climbing over North Glacier Pass and down to Hemlock Crossing, Cora lakes...Isberg Pass and down to Y.V. via Washburn Lake and Merced Lake. My memories are still vivid.....the high country being truly unforgettable.
What a beautiful atmosphere my friend, this whole place is beautiful!
Spectacular, absolutely stunning solo adventure my friend! 👏
How do you like those Fizan poles?
Very sturdy but a bit heavy and the hand straps are a bit loose require frequent adjustment when taking on/off (comparing BD DISTANCE CARBON Z).
What radio is that? Is is very light?
I chose this Retekess PR15 based on somethings I read on the reddit UL community.
I enjoyed the video. Such nice views of the sierra and the nigh sky!
Great shots
excellent video
Location of this campsite?
Great videos Joe! Keep on traveling 🧭 Perhaps we’ll cross paths someday hiking Stokes State Forest in NJ
Hi, I have an overnight permit coming up. Are the sites assigned when you print your permit or are the camping sites first come, first served? Thanks!
I want to know too!
I was there the same time. Thats my white truck at the beginning
What is that cooking stove / table set up you’re using?
Snow peak IGT 3 Unit and Baja Burner Camp Stove (the stove is not recommended if you want to do some serious cooking because it has near ZERO simmering), it looks great with the setup though.
thanks for the video. i’ve been trying to get out camping in that same area for the past month but the weather has been lousy. been camping at steam mill for a few years and checked ocquittunk back in may. i love spot 19 but it’s always booked! it’s a great spot - set back a bit. hoping next week to go. looks like spot 22/23 is open.
請問,你們有用向導吧?這樣的路線,不用向導可以嗎?😊
Round Valley is my favorite camping spot in NJ and go every year. This was a fantastic video! I can’t believe you hiked all the way to site 83.
Yeah, that hike is no joke
👍👍
