Its 2025 now and ive just finished this series. Im so glad that i got to experience this with you. I found your playthrough reccommended on Reddit and i had no idea how much joy it would bring. You are absolutely not the first person who couldn't find that bloody note again. I've played the game multiple times now (with a few years between plays so my inability to remember names makes it a fresh experience) and I still catch myself forgetting where the bloody thing is hidden. Though I do have to say the whole "Are you ready to go?" "NO!" repetition was great.

I love seeing the evolution of people's landing experience... Episode 1. Can I land here? Make sure landing camera on. Touchdown like a feather. Did I do it? Sigh of relief. Episode Middle. Parking at interesting angles. Oops did I come in a little hot, better repair that landing gear and headlights. Endgame. Ship's in one piece? Should have gone faster then.

The first time I fell in the black hole, my game crashed. I thought it was intentional, until it happened the second time and I got teleported. I was so confused lol

Also if u land on the top of a tree in timber hearth, open the hatch, but don't go thru it, make the tree go inside your ship thru the hatch, fly out and back in again, the hatch closes on the tree and you might have the same death. Also, if you go to the quantum moon, land your ship in a place stuff teleports to, and keep looking away and back at the cockpit window, you can teleport the quantum shrine into your ship to do the same funny death. Don't ask me how I know these things I've been playing for too long

11:00 The Seamoth designed to function as a space-capable vehicle as well as a sea-capable one. Admittedly spaceships are closer to submarines than planes... but I couldn't resist putting something in this comment section. I mean, 8 likes, 90 views? WTF? I've seen letsplayers with hundreds times that that aren't quite as engaging as you are. The algorithm is doing you dirty, my friend.

If I remember correctly, it doesn't actually delete the file (because Steam TOS doesn't allow that), but it adds a .txt where that file is stored, telling you that you should delete it yourself, out of respect for the rules :P And if you do that, Po3 has a unique voiceline commenting on the fact that you actually did it.

It was really the mark of skill, that even when your OP undying squirrels were unfortunately robbed from you, you still prevailed (...through the power of a one-blood-cost 8-power tri-striker :P) But, making OP cards/combos is basically the point of deckbuilder roguelikes, and indeed, all roguelikes, to an extent.

Admittedly, it's kind of tragic, you wandering, confused, around the parts of the simulation you can access - all eerily empty - trying to find one more piece of the puzzle, searching for a new old friend that's no longer there, searching for more answers, more questions, but all is said and done, and it's time to move on... ...And yeah, kind of bad communication on the game's part, too. But for the sake of loving Outer Wilds, my brain will jump through any loophole to turn design error into poignant narrative. :P

1:45 it's a truism of the DLC that, since you mostly only need your ship to fly from Timber Hearth to The Stranger, you can get increasingly reckless with how you land it. To be fair, this is also true of the game in general - you have to abuse the ship pretty badly for it to actually break apart, and anything else is only ten second's repair or one nova's loop away from being good as new. So... hard landings, not a big deal.

15:10 Fun fact, they don't! An unused setting in the game code makes your jetpack thruster flames green after you interact with those fuel tanks. The feature ended up getting scrapped for, among other reasons, the worry that players would think it was important/useful somewhere. This game is full of coolness, and things interacting in logical ways, but it's ultimately a puzzle game and must commit to conservation of detail to avoid creating too many red herrings.

49:00 One simple mistake at the wrong moment, bringing the whole of the universe to the brink of eternal destruction (for the second time in one day :P); abandoning your ship, continuing on foot(/jetpack), the perfect additional drama for a moment that is already fit to bursting with tension. 58:00, lol, don't worry, I didn't get that one either; iirc I actually think I managed to jetpack up from the edge of the crater into the vortex without ever figuring out the 'proper' way up. ...and the credits. I'm not a huge consumer of full-length letsplays, but I get the sense that most games, most letsplays, don't include the entire credits. But Outer Wilds, consistently, once you've played it, you just have to sit, and reflect, for a moment... the beautiful closing score doesn't hurt either. Ah, I'm typing this while still watching, and you just agreed with me on that point :P. Anyway, sorry, I'm rambling on; because I'm basking in the satisfaction, the emptiness and the fullness, of 'completing' this game once again; even vicariously, it's just so... much. The incredible ending to an outstanding game. And you, my friend, have here the incredible ending of (the base-game portion of) an outstanding Outer Wilds playthrough, one of the best I've seen. You were perceptive, patient, rational, curious, an excellent pilot, always mindful of the tools at your disposal, lucky enough to have some unique moments, and at every step, you consistently verbalised your thoughts and theories. Thanks for sharing your journey with us. And now, onto the DLC!

Wait... was 6:57 the first time your ship actually got damaged?! You've been such a natural at piloting, you've never slammed into anything... so, other than Anglerfish devourage and the 'black hole blender' glitch - neither of which are really damage in the same sense, since they both instantly ended your run - you've been 100% safe up until this puzzle. And damaging the electrical systems is essentially part of this puzzle; I bet everyone who ever played the game fried their ship's circuits here. Also, that makes me realise, it's a miracle that your ship has survived all the quantum battering that it has without a scratch.

fun fact, if you choose big enough file it is possible to end a round instantly, it doesn't even say how much damage it is worth lol. I've created artifical 1TB file and used it x) also for the file age it is a bit disappointing that max stats you can get on a card is 4/4, even for a file from 1800 lol

Daniel Mullins is a fantastic game creator, i reccomend you play his other games, Pony Island, or The hex. Kaycees mod is also a fantastic DLC to this game. It's a challenge mode for Act 1 with brand new cards, items and fun challenges, including a new boss for the final challenge. if you're interested in the ARG for the game, there is a full breakdown of the ARG on the R/Inscryption subreddit, or game theory also did a few videos covering it a while back. hope to see more fun games like this one in the future.

Haven't played very far in the P03 section, but have played the Archivist boss. On the age challenge, I chose something from System32. Needless to say, I did not take the risk of placing it (even if I was 99.99999999% sure nothing would happen, and an internet search confirmed my assumption).

I like how the picture of pliers is by the path to Leshy since he let you use pliers to pull your teeth out

nope- the card you recive is from a random playtrough at that point, it can be a random that played the game 1 year ago, or someone playing alongside you, that is why g0lly is my favorite boss

wanna hear something cool about the incomplete boss? you can actualy create a softlock with some paintings, the game knows this and po3 will get mad at you crossing out the gamerule that softlocked, the angler actualy hinted at this
