@lucyblack5544 Maybe! I don't have experience with UE, so I can't say with certainty. However, what I can say is that obviously the vrm format itself supports the larger texture resolutions, so there shouldn't be any reason that it wouldn't. The main challenge may be finding a vrm exporter for UE, as you'll have to get the new updated vrm back out to be used in other applications. That tool probably exists, but I'm not familiar with what it would be. Other than that it should be the same sort of process of importing the vrm into UE, replacing the texture with a higher resolution version in the UE editor, and then exporting it with whatever tool/plugin exists.

How did you create the 3D Geometric Models? I am workging on a Vroid model but want to have a glowing luminescence of particles such as smoke, orbs, and fire. The particles seem pretty easy. However, I want to add in a heart and beating of the heart. Do you think this could work with the particle system?

@@Veenus_Starr Okay! So there are a lot of pieces at play here, so this comment may be a bit long. But first, thank you for asking and showing interest! First, this model was in it's very beginnings a Vroid model, so it's a great place to start! Second, as to your question about the 3D geometric models, I had made the simpler meshes for the various individual shapes in blender, then added them to the model via Unity. This isn't a very efficient way to make a model (CPU usage wise), but it's what I had the skills for, so I've worked with it. Third, generally speaking how all this is accomplished is partially by all the stuff I've set up in the model via unity, but also partially by the actual model running software that I use called VNyan. VNyan is what allows the floating, as it's in this case running a looped animation for the body movement (it can also run MMDs and of course normal tracking). VNyan is also the main source for the luminescence, as that is applying bloom for the emissions on the materials to show. Finally, as to a beating heart, it depends on how you're stylizing the heart. I can conceive of a couple ways you could do it via particles, but you might find it difficult to display a satisfactory heart via particles as one limitation of particles is they can't be complex meshes (they can only have a single material). You might be better off setting it up as an animation from Unity. I think the "proper" way to do it would be as a blendshape/animation out of blender, but I suck at blender, so I'm not sure how to actually do that. @@P0.e Thank you, Thank you! I really appreciate your light on the situation. I had a feeling blender and the camera motion software played a part in this. However, I wasn’t entirely sure. I do have some experience in both blender and Unity. However, not that great lol. I do know how to operate the animations tab in unity so I may have to test that out for the heart. By chance do you have a way of interacting outside of here via discord or email? I would like to continue speaking with you on what ideas I have for my character? The way your character looks, definitely tells me I have hope for what I’m trying to achieve 🤗

I don't have a tutorial on that, but the one I followed to make it happen is this one here - ruclips.net/video/0a7KTfT1l8k/видео.html The one on the chest is a video converted into a texture. Be careful not to go overboard with those (I did at one point and had to walk it back). Each video you use as a texture has to live in video memory, so it can quickly become a significant burden on your system if you use many or large videos for this purpose!

ahh okay i just thought about doing something like this for a small portion for a wrist, but good to know about the video memory .

It's definitely something you can implement safely, it just helps to know how to keep it under control (It's not really covered in the tutorial I linked). If the resulting texture is small, you can modify the video to keep the file small - things like lower the resolution and framerate, and use a relatively short looping video. Doing that you should be just fine to bring it into the model.
