Parsley Hill Spaniels
Добавлен 8 апр 2021
Meet our 8 wonderful, funny, silly, intelligent and completely cute lovable spaniel gang.
Life with our crazy spaniels, all EIGHT of them, ^ English Springer Spaniels and 2 English Cocker Spaniels. All of the springers are related, Eric (Dad), Lucy (Aunt), Boogie (Mum), Adelaide (Daughter), Gladys (Daughter) and Edward (Son).
Watch the family interact with nature and each other.
See them investigate their home. protect their hoomans from beasties such as the monstrous and dangerous squirrels and those pesky Blue Jay's.
These are no normal spaniels, these spaniels are part crocodile, how else can they destroy the strongest of Kong Toys in less than two minutes or take apart metal objects just for fun?

Thank you for sharing my baby girl Lucy in the Christmas eve remember our fur babies. I miss my fur baby Lucy so much.
@chiefhachiko1935 it hurts so much when our fur babies have to leave us, but as long as we remember them, they will always be with us and in our hearts.
@parsleyhillspaniels393 Lucy was my best friend to. She was related to the famous Akita dog Hachiko from Japan. She was the tenth generation of hachikos sibling brother.
@chiefhachiko1935 our Teddies are our best friends too. They do not judge us and their love is truly unconditional.
@parsleyhillspaniels393 I lived my fur baby Lucy very much.
@chiefhachiko1935 you can't help, but love them. Beautiful souls
Phil the malamute, whom you mentioned at 5:35 was on the channel Life with Malamutes, whose hoomans still have two other dogs. Rupert, who passed in 2022 I think, was on the channel Milperthusky. The two had some crossover a few years back, since they lived not too far from each other. In 11/2021, Sherpa and Jamie visited the Life with Malamutes family (before they moved) and met Phil.
@@Warjacki thank you, I did not know that. Such a shame to lose such beautiful souls
Thank you for sharing your dogs with us plus remembering our fur babies which are our family members.
@chiefhachiko1935 thank you for visiting, our spaniels love having company. We will always remember our fur babies and everyone's fur babies, all are special
@parsleyhillspaniels393 I emailed you the name of the owners of Chief Gurley
Another lovely wander! Thank you.
@robinhendricks1603 thank you, we will be out again tomorrow for the Sunday Saunter to remember our fur babies abd Sherpa and we will be out on Chrustmas Eve too, as a little special because everyone knows tgat the animals can talk on Christmas Eve and be understood by all - plus I'm sure the Teddies will be badgering Santa Paws for some last minute presents lol
@parsleyhillspaniels393 I will be looking forward to seeing you
Thank you for sharing your spaniels with me and the rest of us. Plus thank you for doing the wander to do the remember our family fur babies. They were family to us. It is cold here in Tennessee. I hope the major gets better. Merry Christmas to you and your family and the spaniels.
@chiefhachiko1935 Merry Christmas to you too Jason. I saw that you would be having some cold temperatures down there, stay safe and warm. All our fur and feathered friends are our family, and we treat them as much.
@parsleyhillspaniels393 ty stay safe and stay warm to
Longtime fan of Sherpa here, and also of his best friend K'eyush The Stunt Dog and Nephew Nook (who belongs to Jamie's mom). I can't believe that I didn't run across this tribute to Sherpa until 12/20. Besides SherpasDay, on which Jamie posts longer videos, he also has the channel Sherpas_vanlife for shorter ones. If I have the info correct, Sherpa was a mix of husky and malamute, and lived for 13 years and 9 months. Like your spaniels, I enjoy walking through wooded areas, weather permitting. 🐕
@Warjacki thank you for visiting. We do a Sunday Saunter every Sunday for Sherpa and we also remember the community's fur babies that have passed this year and previously, as all fur babies are precious. Our Edward used to talk back to Sherpa when we watch the videos, and would get frustrated when Sherpa didn't answer him. Edward would fet closer and closer to the screen as if to say " look I'm here, I'm talking to you, why can't you see me?", it was funny to watch. We hope you will come and visit with us again. Merry Christmas and have a wonderful New Year.
During winter trips in the Highlands I have often had 'close encounters' with deer. They have usually been getting winter feed from the local estate, hence their apparently 'tame' behaviour. In some touristy spots like Glen Coe, individual stags are known for posing for the cameras, with some tasty rewards of course!! I must say you are privileged to have such beautiful animals coming to your back door and getting a meal at the bird table😅 Peopl complain of squirrels raiding the bird food, but deer, thats something else!!
@mikemccormac9368 we have been regularly feeding the deer for over ten years now. We buy them oats, my husband has made them mangers and feeding tube's, and for three months, we help give them a little extra to keep going. We have even had them come up on the back deck and stamp at me through the patio door because I have been late putting the food out, lol. Unfortunately, we have seen the deer population decline over the years. We have gone from having 26 or so at a time to now only 2s,3s and 4s. Deer out here aren't in herds like they are in the UK, but do cut around together at times for safety from coyotes. Where we used to live in Devon, we would often see herds up on Exmoor. Beautiful.
Is it oats in the feed trough?
@robinhendricks1603 yes it is. We but a tonne of them at a time, thankfully they have come down in price. When we first started feeding them it cost $156 Canadian a tonne, that was ten years ago. Two years ago it was over $700 a tonne, this year it is down to $450 a tonne. We only feed them for three months while the weather is bad.
That is so cute and she is very hungry. Merry Christmas
@chiefhachiko1935 As long as it gives them a little extra in this cold weather, all is good. There's plenty of hay in farmers fields, so they are not starving this winter. Merry Christmas
🤩❤❤❤
Thank you so so much 🙏❤. I'm dreading my first Christmas without Tia, but I know it will ease a little over time. Sending love to Jamie too 🙏❤ xxx
@lwilliams781 the firsts are always the hardest, the first day, week, month, holiday, birthday, Christmas and you are in our thoughts as is Jamie. X
I didn't know porcupines hibernated 😮xxx
@lwilliams781 they do, especially here where we are normally around the minus 14 Celsius for day time highs in the winter.
Oh wow, beautiful bird ❤xxx
What a beautiful place ❤xxx
I think lots of dogs eat turdsicles 😂xxx
My Tia would've loved all that snow ❄️ xxx
@lwilliams781 we have plenty of it and it's hanging around for a little while so I'm sure she will be having a ball in it. Edward, our youngest springer, and Adelaide, his eldest sister, love to roll around and have snow baths lol
Thank you so so much for mentioning Tia. She passed 5 days before Sherpa did 💔😔🌈. I just can't believe how many of us have lost our furbabies this year alone, heartbreaking 😔💔. Sending love to all 🙏 xxxx
@lwilliams781 when i read the community page, I am gobsmacked at how many members have list fur babies this year, young and old. I started doing the Sunday Saunters for Sherpa as a way of letting Jamie know he could still walk with Sherpa, but somewhere new that wouldn't bring back sad memories - I hope that makes sense. We walk our Teddies every day, sometimes shorter walks than others due to the cold temperatures and I film a couple of them a week and upload them here so our family and friends back in the UK can see where we live and watch the changes through the seasons. Sundays though are a must, and now it is a regular Saunter to remember all our fur babies whether they passed this year or thirty years ago. They are all precious and will be forever in our hearts.
Aaww, the 15th is when Sherpa passed over rainbow Bridge 😔💔🌈xxx
Thank you so much for welcoming my rose and blue, thank you so much ❤❤

I'm pretty sure Grissom and Jack were helping Gladys with keeping an eye on the rough grouse in the trees.😊 Your boys are welcome here as much as they want. Plenty of woods and lawns and trails to explore.
A very Merry Christmas and a Very Happy New Year too
Thank you for sharing your dogs with me. And I am starting a Dog Rescue Center and I am naming it in The Lord Sherpa House. Merry Christmas to you and your family and give your dogs a hug from me. Let's remember Phil and Lord Sherpa and Rupert
@chiefhachiko1935 what a lively way to end the year and a beautiful way to remember Sherpa, Phil and Rupert. Merry Christmas Jason, hope you and yours have a wonderful time
@parsleyhillspaniels393 Rupert was a malamute from the United Kingdom just like Sherpa and Phil. My dog rescue center is in Tennessee and I am having it named The Lord Sherpa rescue center. I lost my fur baby Lucy last November at the age of 11 she was a Akita dog.
@chiefhachiko1935 such a shame to lose a fur baby at anytime. I'm sure your rescue centre will be a much needed and welcome resource to your community.
@parsleyhillspaniels393 yes it will. This way Sherpa's memories alive on with my rescue center. Give the spaniels a hug from me. Your videos mean a lot to me. I miss my fur baby Lucy so much. Here are some of fur babies we should remember also. Chief Gurley from Life with Labradors in Arizona. And my fur baby Lucy from Tennessee.

@parsleyhillspaniels393 I will!
Impressed at you getting all the decorations up, they do make the house look welcoming🎄. Doggies being helpful with the gate decorations, or are they just sizing them up for subsequent demolition in due course!! Been in the minus here last few days, but nowhere as low as your temperatures. No sign of any snow here either, though the local hill tops have a sprinkling.🏔
@mikemccormac9368 Thank you. You're are quite right, the Teddies are of no help whatsoever when it comes to decorating, cooking, DIY,gardening or filling the containers with food for the wildlife lol It's actually warmed up here and we have day time highs of minus 4, so bikini and BBQ weather 😅
Looks so peaceful and beautiful ❤xxx
@lwilliams781 it's peaceful until one of the Teddies finds something to bark at, then the peace is shattered, nine times out of ten it will be a frozen snow covered leaf that has offered them and that's what they are barking at lol
It is until the Teddies find something to bark at then the peace is shattered. Nine times out of ten it will be a frozen snow covered leaf that has annoyed them and must be barked at lol
@parsleyhillspaniels393 🤣🤣🤣xxx
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. You and your dogs make me feel better since the passing of Lord Sherpa. Sherpa would have loved to play in the snow with your dogs.
@chiefhachiko1935 Merry Christmas to you too Jason. I'm sure Sherpa would have loved it here with my lot, and, I think Jamie would too as there are loads of places to explore and have adventures, maybe one day he will make it across and can use our place as a base.
@chiefhachiko1935 p.S , Teddies always make people fell better no matter what they are going through. I think it is their innocence, love of adventure and fun and their total unconditional love for us.
The spaniels are so lucky to having you as there dog parents. Sherpa will always be remembered forever. Thank you for doing this for the memories of Sherpa. Did you watch the video on Sherpas day today. Sherpa loved his family and friends.
@chiefhachiko1935 I'm just about to sit down and watch it, i was going to do that 30 minutes ago, however, the spaniel gang had rearranged the baubbles on the tree i put up outside. I've just spent that time looking for the ones they stole off the tree. They definitely keep me on my toes lol.
Not ever seen a prairie chicken in the wild, you'd think that we would, living on the prairies. Have seen those little owls that like to live on the ground, and one winter night I was privileged to see a snowy owl next to our barn. I had gone outside for something, and there he or she was, sitting on a branch next to the barn with the stars and moonlight behind it and the snow on the ground. It was so beautiful and quiet. I think it had come to complain about the party the mice were having in the barn - funny haven't had mice in the barn since that night lol. Rough grouse girls have the right idea, ignore and carry on eating the equivalent of chocolate😅
Beautiful ❤
Thank you. We try every year to make our tree and decs special, each one is a memory of where we've been, family and fur kids and we put them up as early as we can so we can enjoy them for longer..
@parsleyhillspaniels393 that's lovely and you're welcome 😊
Hello Spaniels! Isn't she lovely? I've never seen one in the wild. Not sure we have them in Nebraska. Maybe in the Western part? No snow here yet. Blessings! x
@shalacarter6658 hi, I'm surprised you haven't seen any where you are. Whilst they like to have some trees around, they do quite well on tundra too. We have a male rough grouse, actually we have a few, but this one, bless him, he tries so hard showing off his display, strutting all over , up and down, saying look at me, but this female us more interested in food. I'm beginning to think that the bird food we have must be like our equivalent of chocolate us, give us chocolate over anything lol.
@@parsleyhillspaniels393 Our area is not tundra. It originally was Mid-to-Tall Grass Prairie. We have Sharp Tail Grouse which are similar to Prairie Chickens. Prairie Chickens get together on leks in the Spring to breed. I understand it is really neat. I've seen plenty of photos and videos. You can rent a blind and go out to watch them. The Dakotas and Minnesota would probably be a better place to find Rough Grouse. I think I saw one when I was on vacation in MN one year. We were out on country roads looking around, mostly for Snowy Owls. There was a grouse just sitting in a shrub on the side of the road. We stopped to look at it and it could not have been less interested. In Wyoming I saw a Sage Hen. They are huge! And also I hear they taste great. They taste like sage. We also have Bobwhites which are an adorable little quail that calls it's own name. It is one of the first calls I learned when I was little. They used to be quite common; but with urban sprawl, it's harder to find them. The guys did not see any while out bird hunting. hmmmmmmmm chocolate! xx
It looks so cute. And the snow is the best weather for Angel Sherpa.
@chiefhachiko1935 yes Sherpa did love his snow as all malamute and Huskys do, I don't think he'd particularly like the temperatures that we get here though, as being a UK teddie and acclimated to UK cold temps of at the worst, minus 7, he may not do the minus 20s for day time highs. Better to keep him safe and warm.
Hope you are keeping well Jason.
@@parsleyhillspaniels393 You've probably seen photos of sled dogs all curled up outside in the snow.
@shalacarter6658 yes, but thise are bred specificalthator that and live in that environment, those that are born not in the chillier crimes would be OK, but would struggle with the severe cold temperatures, unless they had been aclimatised to them. It's like taking a German Shepherd dog and expecting the dog to be able to stay outside over night for twelve hours guarding the sheep herds, unless the dog comes from that environment, it would struggle to do so, as now, for the most part, they are bred as pets,, household members, like most of the dogs these day, unless you went to a specialist breeder within that environment, you wouldn't get the working dog that you think you are getting. We have friends in Bavaria, who have Malamutes and use them as working dogs within the Alps. Their Alpha dog, hates bring outside when not working, and refuses to leave the lodge, regardless of the weather, but in oarticular when the snow is in and it is winter, unless you are harnessing him up to go sledding, then he will leave the lodge. He much prefers the fire lol
@@parsleyhillspaniels393 When I was growing up on the farm, the dogs were always outside. They had a great dog house that my cousin built in Shop class. It had a roof that opened up for easier cleaning. Our dogs would be in there with cats all curled up. Cats would also sleep in the granary in the straw bales and have kittens in there. I always tell ppl who make outdoor cat houses to use straw and not blankets. Blankets can get wet and freeze. I do love it when ppl make houses for outdoor cats. The other thing ppl do not consider is that dog houses should not be huge because they need to keep the heat in. I am with that Alpha dog! I'd stay inside, too. I would love to go to Bavaria. Weird that they have a different name for it. I read a series that was set in Bavaria during the 200 Year's War. It's about an executioner and his family. I think it's called The Executioner's Daughter. Thought we might have some rain and that it would freeze starting this afternoon. Hope we get the rain, but not the ice. We are going to the Christmas Dance Recital for two of our granddaughters tomorrow afternoon. Last night we went to Orchestra and then out to dinner at a Chinese place.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and your family and the spaniels. Let's remember this year's Christmas will be a sad on for Jamie and his family without Sherpa.
@@chiefhachiko1935 a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you too. It will be a very different Christmas for Jamie, but he has all his family and all of us for support and understanding.
Thanks for doing this to make me feel better since the passing of Lord Sherpa. To keep his memory alive. He would love to play with your dogs and in the snow. Christmas won't be the same this year without sherpa. I love how you did your Christmas tree and the living room.
@chiefhachiko1935 thank you. We love sharing our spaniels with you and it is lively to be able to dedicate a day walk to Sherpa, and for all the other fur babies lost this year, it is going to be do hard for many at Christmas. We hope we can bring a little smile and warmth to everyone. Thank you for plimenting the tree, it took ages. Every time I put an ornament on, Adelaide inspected it and Edward tried to knck it off with his tail. Swiss then thinks that he can fit under tree, and then gets stuck and ornaments come off and we start again. I keep telling them that Santa Paws won't bring them anything if they keep doing that lol.
@parsleyhillspaniels393 This was the year of the passing of Lord Sherpa and and Phil the Malamute
@chiefhachiko1935 a hard year and at this time of year, a hard time too. We like to take comfort in knowing that we had the honour of sharing our teddies lives, past and present, and even if they are no longer with us in body, they have forever filled our hearts.
Your Christmas tree looks beautiful. The only thing missing is a special oranmet of Lord Sherpa for his memory. Thank you for sharing your dogs with us.
@chiefhachiko1935 thank you. I thought about picking up an ornament that resembled him, but then I decided against it, and instead picked up an angel which is now hanging on the tree in memory of all the special teddies.

Such a cozy snowy stroll!❄🐾Sherpa and Jamie look like they’re having the best time. I’m more than happy to give you a big like👍for sharing this lovely winter walk. Teddy and Phoebe🐶would totally enjoy this snow adventure too!☃
@@Maltipoo_Maltese_Cute_Moments Thank you, we hope you will join our spaniel gang again soon for another walk
We just watched Jamie's latest video, it was clear that the snow in Cornwall set off some mixed emotions for him. So glad that we can help you even a little. Yes the Teddies do love the snow, unfortunately they don't realise that they can't stay out long in the cold temperatures. Over the weekend they can play for longer and have more time to explore. Right now they are inspecting the baubbles that are going on the Christmas tree - they aren't much help decorating, as they knock off the baubbles with their wagging Tails quicker than I can put them on. 😅
Lord Sherpa favorite weather that he loved to play in the snow. Your spaniels are having fun with the snow. Ur your channel helps me with the passing of Lord Sherpa. I hope you guys have a great Christmas
Lord Sherpa loved the snow. Sherpa was a special dog all over the world. Thank you for sharing your dogs with us around the world. I enjoy all of your videos. Sherpa would be playing in the snow
Thank you, we enjoy sharing are crazy, fun loving spaniels with you. It would be lovely if Sherpa could come and play in the snow with them.
Sherpa's favorite weather. He loved the snow. I hope you are going to have a great thanksgiving and how is your day going. I hope you have a great Christmas time. Christmas will be sad this year for Jamie
@chiefhachiko1935 we had our Thanksgiving in October, USA has theirs in Novembrr, here in Canada it is in October. Christmas will be very different for Jamie, but he will have his family around him to help. Our day is good today, the Teddies are enjoying going out in the snow and investigating the boxes with the Christmas decorations in. Hope you are having a good day and that Christmas will be a fantastic time for you.
❤
Lord Sherpa's favorite thing to be in. The snow there looks so nice. The spaniels are having a great time playing in the snow. Christmas time in Jamie's house will not be the same as last year because Sherpa won't be there.
@chiefhachiko1935 it will be a different Christmas for him, but his family will be there to help him through it and of course all his followers on You Tube.
@parsleyhillspaniels393 i will be watching it on RUclips. I ordered a Lord Sherpa hoodie for me
@chiefhachiko1935 the hoodie will be nice to cozy up in while you watch You Tube.
Same here! A couple of inches accumulated yesterday and overnight. I had to get food supplies, so I slid and skidded down to my local butchers shop that thankfully provides everything to keep body and soul alive. Forest silence in the snow takes me back to highland winter walks. The only sound was the soft fluff of snowflakes landing on the hood of your parka 😊 Having a pack of doggie rascals in attendance would kind of break the spell, but have to say your bunch don't appear to bark a lot, or is that them 'on good behaviour ' !!
@mikemccormac9368 For the most part, the Teddies are quite quiet, however, when something stirs them up they are rather loud lol. I love walking them at night-time through the woods with the snow down, as the light us silvery and there us a kind of magic with it.
The Teddies seem to like the snow...
They do, Gladys loves to eat it lol
Your dogs are so precious and they are so lucky to have you and the major as their dog parents. They are your children and world. I am doing something very special for the memory of Lord Sherpa. I am naming my dog rescue center in his honor The Zeusy and Percy and Lord Sherpa rescue center.
@chiefhachiko1935 that sounds lovely, what a beautiful way to remember them. As for our lot, we are the lucky ones that get the honour of spending our lives with theirs.
sign of contentment.
@@chrispat4209 a sign of being spoilt lol
@@parsleyhillspaniels393 😄😅
Spaniels are such a pleasant dog. So pretty.
@Susansback they very photogenic and definitely full of life. They keep us on our toes and life is never dull with them around.
You guys cheer me up since the passing of Lord Sherpa. I love all of your videos to cheer me up. I hope you and the major are doing well.
@chiefhachiko1935 thank you, glad we can help bring a smile and warmth to people. We are doing good, aches and pains are part and parcel of life. We are getting ready for the Christmas Season, getting excited for that. Hope you are keeping well and safe.
Do you feel like most of us around the world that we miss Lord sherpa. I watch his newest video on Sherpa day channel. Sherpa was the best dog ever on RUclips and he was loved by many people around the world.
@chiefhachiko1935 yes, we do miss Sherpa, I would watch the videos with my spaniels, and Edward would 'talk' back to Sherpa, funny to watch but a little loud on the ears lol. All animals have their different personalities which are a joy to watch and take part in, if we are lucky enough to do so.
