edit: warning for ranting, tis a long one lolol i think this song sounds like that of a bittersweet ending, the melody is that of which you'd hear in the end credits of a movie where our main character wins, but it panels over everything they lost to get there, yk? i think personally it helps to paint the picture of the fact she never really got her story told in the timeline we follow of the canonical comic--and fun detail, her song is an easy compliment to a lot of the others, namely, equius' song, and you hear a similar marching drumline in some parts. this song to me represents how she did get to be free from Alternia, and from the inevitable death that may have awaited her due to not fitting perfectly into her role (which i firmly believe is something Equius was trying to protect her from but that's another rant all in it's own.) and with the composition of the hopeful piano melody, the synthed string instruments, all playing in all technicality calm, happier, content tune, perhaps it represents that freedom with death, the bittersweet overlay with the drumline being how even after death though she didn't get to be with her morial. Equius, in all technicality gets more screen time as Arquissprite than Fefetasprite does--even if most people do forget that. this song is called "requiem" a requiem is a song of rememberance, like how i perceive her drawings as something she wishes to outlive her in a sense, something stick after her, offering kindness to people and assistance so that they may remember her after her own inevitable death. to leave some mark--even if it's a stain--on her world. it also, is probably, to reference how we dont get past the troll introduction sequence with her before Gamzee loses it, she was one of the first to technically experience true death much like Feferi until their combined sprite. additionally, it sounds like both an aforementioned credits sequence but also a potential opening sequence, the piano suggests building up to something, but this is her beginning and end all in one, the credits roll as we see her title screen, untapped potential of a girl far stronger than the fandom often gives her credit for. she's small but hunts to survive, she looks weak but she has someone perpetually unfathomably strong for a 13 yo respecting her. As a heart player i think that's probably her charm, since the heart classpect has to do with emotions and identity, she has those above her respecting and caring for her, and if Hussie didn't hate her, she would've been so interesting to see improve. So me personally, i'll remember her with my little essay i typed here as a strong loving girl with potential and her own need to leave a mark and feel remembered.
