Sir i have a doubt.what is the difference between complex number and imaginary number?
আমরা যখন complex number বা জটিল সংখ্যা অধ্যায় টি নিয়ে পড়াশোনা করি, তখন জটিল সংখ্যার সাধারণ আকার বা General Form টি এমন দেখেছি, a+ib, যেখানে a, b উভয়ই বাস্তব সংখ্যা এবং i= √-1. এখন a, b real বা বাস্তব সংখ্যা হওয়ার জন্য a, b শুন্য হতেই পারে। এখন যদি কোনো এক ক্ষেত্রে a=0 হয়ে যায় তাহলে জটিল সংখ্যা টি bi আকার নেবে। উদাহরণ হিসেবে 5i, i, 3i, √2i ইত্যাদি। এখন জটিল সংখ্যার এই বিশেষ অবস্থা বা আকার কে আমরা Purely Imaginary number বা Imaginary number বলে থাকি। a, b উভয়ই শূন্য না হলে আমরা এমন সংখ্যাকে জটিল সংখ্যা বলে থাকি। কিন্তু মাথায় রাখবো সব imaginary number ই কিন্তু জটিল সংখ্যার অন্তর্গত।
