Hi everyone! With a name like Fisher, I think I found the right passion! I grew up on Sanibel Island and fell in love with the outdoors and the surrounding waters and environments. My dad introduced me to a lot of my passions and I just worked harder and harder to excel at them.
I hope to bring you some great fishing experiences and share some of my general knowledge when it comes to gear, rigging, and finding fish. A lot of my videos may be based off of our 2200 Pathfinder or my L4 LIVEwatersports paddleboard allowing me the best of SWFL fishing!
Please feel free to ask questions and leave comments!

Targetting Snook with Pinfish! Plus a Surprise Tarpon and Many Many Manatee
Hey everyone!
Thanks for tuning in to my channel again! This was a bit of a windy day, but we load up on pinfish and went looking for some snook. We found so many manatee this day, literally saw them at every spot we were at throughout the day.
We found nearly all our snook on a mangrove point ambushing some bait and my dad was fortunate to hook a juvenile tarpon too! The tide was outgoing pretty strong this day and we were throwing our pinfish with a 3/0 light wire circle hook with 30lb fluoro leader.
This was the first time I have been on the water since having a baby and it was a little tough leaving her first thing in the morning, but as she gets bigger and stronger I will be eager to ...

Hey everyone! On this trip, I visit Ding Darling on Sanibel Island and fish from my LIVEwatersports L4 Paddleboard. I throw my castnet to catch some fresh bait and search for fish. I was unable to find any of the snook or redfish I was looking for, but was fortunate to find some hungry mangrove snapper and spotted seatrout. J.N. A croc 😂
😂
Catfish....hard to say without knowing more information on the region and water your on. Walleye...anything larger than that bate.
Peacock bass? Lol
60 lb. Drum chillin under that dock.
Probably a big snook or a goliath
@@RamseyFisher snook would have been gone as soon as he set the hook. Snook haul ass when hooked. This fish just held on and was going deep. Drum. Maybe a big ass Red. But I bet it was a monster black drum.

@@mattmurphy4635we don’t have many big black drum here, so my mo why is on a big ass redfish or lazy Goliath
Beach?
Haha, that related clip is just a nice snook catch. We were looking for snook on this day too, but the full video isn’t out yet.
@@RamseyFisher nice catch brother, love to see the content.
Thanks! I’m excited to share more!
10 pounder??
Haha. Probably bigger!
More like 50 to 80. He's in Florida. Anything can be in the water.
@@mattmurphy4635haha literally anything 🐊
The answer to your question is "yes"
Haha. Yes
Definitely the beaches
That’s a great place, especially in the summer
I love three of the comments start as “you should”
Everyone has to share their opinion, right? Haha, I appreciate the feedback all the same.
You should just hook to the Astro when you hooked their bottom draw and the top closes her mouth so they can’t breathe so they don’t last long. I’m just saying from a slow trolling Fisherman.
Not a bad point, I’ve done both jaws and just top jaw at times.
I hate using live bait so much
Why
Most fish don’t feel pain
@@deletesweatz3005that’s a myth
@@deletesweatz3005no pain on lips
@@deletesweatz3005he hates catching fish I guess lol
You should start adding in the catch a cut right to it would be great
I agree! I will start sharing that too!
Never do that. It’ll kill the bait way before the snook or reds get to it
I haven’t had that issue, but I agree that it can decrease their oxygen flow. I think you can cast further and more often without tearing out with this method. But to each their own
You should go in through the mouth. This allows more water flow over the gills and it survives longer. Of course if their getting slammed quick doesn’t really matter 😂😂
I do use that method as well, I think it can rip out a little easier when casting, but that is another good method 👍
Tarpon
Love catching some tarpon
@@RamseyFisher no matter how big , they are always fun .
Bass because of the fighting.
Bass fishing is fun. Have you tried much saltwater fishing?
Trout for eating 👌
Not a bad choice! Tasty fish.
Mind running through your setups? I fish down there once a year and always looking to upgrade gear. Thanks!
Of course! I usually have a medium/light setup and maybe a heavy if I’m looking for bigger fish. This day I had a 7 ft medium power fast action St Croix Premier rod (love these rods and their warranty/customer service) with a shimano stratic 3000. I almost always have 15-20lb braid with 30lb fluoro leader. This is perfect for nearly any inshore application. Penn reels are a great alternative. My bigger setup was a 8 ft heavy power fast action St Croix tidemaster rod paired with a Penn spinfisher V 6500LL which is the live liner model. This is a great feature for leaving the rod in a rod tube and waiting for a strike. Let me know if you have any other question!
Thanks man! We run similar setups so good to know I’m doing something right. I run old Shimano Baitrunners but have been looking at upgrading to Spinfishers. And I’ve been lusting over the Tidemaster rods for a few years now but don’t think they offer two piece rods in the action I’d need. I fly/ship my gear down so it has to break down somewhat. Anyway, great vid and congrats on the sawfish!
@@timothyfisher5734thanks! Those Shimano reels are great too! I’ve had a few! I think my friend has a two piece St Croix mojo rod, which is nice for traveling. But thanks for the comments! Goodluck out there!
Sani boat ramp has giant snook and grouper

Nice!
Thanks!
"Hell yea. Can you seld me a pic of that?"
Exactly!
I wish when people did that they would ask us questions it breaks the tension and we love to introduce people to fishing and wildlife in any way ❤ more common here in the south tho
Exactly, I wish they would ask before taking photos or videos, but I would love to tell them what fish it is, if you can eat it, and so on.
i know sanibel when i see it 😄😄
Haha 👀
Loved the intro! Great video as always :)
Thanks so much!
Probably took the video to show grandkids lol
That’s a good theory actually haha
Seems more like a tourist
Definitely tourist vibes
You can’t fish here blah blah blah it’s so mean….. Yet she just having sushi and fresh lobsters from next door
Oh for sure, I’d rather catch my own fish
Maybe she was intrigued. Or did she talk nasty to you? She not a karen for just watching.
She didn’t say anything, she just filmed me, which I felt weird about. People have asked to take photos before and I’m usually fine with it. But I think it’s rude to just start filming people.
Maybe just curious about what fish you had or something like that otherwise she would have screamed at you
Ya, probably curious and wanted to show others
She didn't seem to say anything. Looks like a tourist 😊
Very touristy indeed
I mean if she didn’t say anything about you needing to leave and she’d call the cops I think she just wanted to get a photo or video of your catch. Which is totally chill in my opinion. Now if the cops showed up in like 10-20 mins then yes she was a Karen hahaha
Yea some people rarely see the ocean let alone a wild animal being pulled out of it live in person. I’d take it as a way to remember it or a vid of a man doing something as old as time like pulling food out of the wild for later 😅
Haha, no cops showed up before I left It just felt weird to be filmed without being asked if it was ok. At least she didn’t scold me. Lol
@@RamseyFisher I get it hahahhaa I hate to be center of attention in any way so having someone literally film me would make me feel extremely awkward lmao especially if she had no explanation or context as to why she’s filming you lol.
@@NomaDyna51haha ya she never even said hi to me before or after filming me 😂
Maybe she just thought it was cool if she’s not bothering you who tf cares
But harassing someone fishing or hunting is a crime
@@wesleypepple7525no it’s not. Besides, she’s filming from what seems to be a public pier, which is well within her first amendment right to record anything she can see from public.
@@wesleypepple7525 she is not harassing anybody in the video just recording/taking pictures. Don’t assume stuff that you don’t know makes you look not smart.
Ya, I do think she was like “wow, let’s film this” but i wish she would have at least asked first. I would have been ok with it then.
I’ve had the L2 for about two years. Just upgraded to the L4. I just wanted a little bit more deck space and the ability to carry my wife and dog and not be overloading the thing. For some reason, man, I still get a little nervous going in the open ocean, but I do it regardless. I guess my concern is sharks. Sometimes I fly my drone when I’m out there and I’ve seen a lot of shark in the ocean. I know the board is stable and I have probably nothing to worry about. It’s all in my head. Do you ever have any close calls fishing from your board in the ocean? I live in Sarasota and typically go out off of longboat key or siesta key. Thanks for the videos. I’m a new subscriber here. Just found your channel.
Hey! Thanks for the comment! And I’ve never had any concerns with sharks really. I’ve come across a few, I always believe they are looking to eat something other than me even if I were to fall overboard haha. But my main concern with taking the paddleboard into open water (ocean etc) is if the winds change or maybe currents change and you are at risk of not being able to paddle back into the shore. Always be mindful of the weather, some serious storms have blown in and I’ve had to make quick trips into the beach to save my ass (and my gear primarily). So I would encourage you to keep an eye on weather and water conditions. I love the L4 and the space it offers. I take my wife all the time and plan to take my baby with us once she’s more exposed to the water.
@@RamseyFisher yeah I definitely am a weather watcher. I take zero risks out there. I definitely check the tides to ensure I can get back in through the moving water. I just ordered a trolling motor and setup so I have a little more range on the water. Thanks for your insight and content. ✌🏼
that will be a great setup! Thanks for subscribing!!

What beaches? 🤐🤣
Additional question, do you know if, once you add a 6hp motor, if you have to register it with DNR? Its not a boat, so its not clear to me.
I do not know exactly on the registering. I do think I have seen some of these boards that have registration numbers on them when they had a gas motor. I would love to have just an electric motor on the front.
I think that will be state dependent but in FL anytime you add a motor (electric, trolling, gas) it does need to be registered. If you just used it as a paddleboard, you would not need to register it but as soon as you put the motor on it you do. Again, that's Florida though and it depends on your state.
I think it doesn't matter, if you put any motor on it you have to register it.
how durable is the bottom of these for like going down rivers and possibly hitting rocks? Is it easy to repair or would you not use it going down a river?
For what they are, they are pretty durable. I would love to river travel with it, but I would be hesitant to take it down a river with shallow/rocky bottom.
Love your videos man! Also a SWFL Fisherman just posted my first video today actually! Sanibel bridge toll flats bite has been on fire btw!
Thanks man!! And way to go! I have only fished there a few days but have caught some quality fish there. I bet it’s especially good now that it’s not very accessible.
If u hit / rub the cast net with ur bait dip net it will knock the bait out easy
Whaaaaa. Smart! I’ll definitely have to try that one out. It took me a while to shake / pop those suckers out. Thanks for sharing!
I just hang mine from rod holder on top and sweep the sides with the bait net. Pops the heads off and they fall out of net
Sounds like an easier method!
