Pavey Ark - via the North Ridge
Hi All. Join us for a hike up our last Langdale Pike, Pavey Ark. After attempting Easy Gully (and failing - footage included), we decided to conquer the mountain via the north ridge (far more sensible), but taking a slight detour to see the top of Easy Gully. A beautiful sunny October day, the scenery has to be seen to be believed...including a pink tutu clad stag.

Monte Mattoni. Parco dell'Adamello, Lombardia - Hiking Italy
Просмотров 40Месяц назад
While staying in the very beautiful town of Bienno in the Val Comacina (not terribly far from Lake Iseo). We popped into the mountains to the Parco dell'Adamello, described as the heart of the Alps (il Parco del cuore delle Alpi). There are so many options for hikes and armed with a new app (Gaia GPS) we navigated a walk taking in the Monte Mattoni...totally make it up as you go along, but very...

Barf - Lake District Walks
Просмотров 1026 месяцев назад
Join us for a walk up to Barf. Our route was via the Bishop of Barf, one of Wainwright's very "off-piste" routes up steep scree. There isn't a path on the OS maps, so this is a trust-in-Wainwright walk. Enjoy!

Walking up the waterfalls and then jacks rake is my favourite walk in the lakes 😎 (The drystone wall is to stop sheep falling off the cliffs- it doesn’t always work unfortunately!)

I offer a complete RUclips video promotion and video SEO service. If your channel SEO is done properly then your video views and subscriptions will hopefully increase

Maybe if you went barefoot and use your feet to put pressure on the tree and sustain some of your weight. Also try using the shukos in a horizontal fashion versus a vertical fashion while hugging the tree with your arms, maybe it could work… I think lol. Go about it kinda like the Huaorani tribe from the amazons when they climb trees.

From one English voice to another..... Yosemite Valley undoubtedly is one of the most beautiful places on Earth. I hike there usually in June, when the snowmelt still produces the most incredible waterfalls and the Merced runs through in its pristine glory. Fascinating however to view it from a different perspective -offering other but equally joyous scenes. Thank you.

I really enjoyed your video. You had such a beautiful day for the walk, giving crystal clear views of the Fells. Winter days are often the best for walking. It helps that you name the surrounding fells, with the aid of your trusty stick to point them out. Are you a teacher? 😊

Thanks for the video, great little watch. Lovely walk up that way. I’ve attempted these 2 on 2 separate occasions and had to abort mission due to either time or not being able to see my hand, never mind the path, in front of my face 😂. On my next attempt I’ll defiantly be taking this route up, thanks again….I can see that badger like 😂. Stay blessed.

A long walk but a glorious one in brilliant weather. Two small Fells I love and Place Fell is once of my favourite Fells tops but leave that for another day. One of Mrs Metalmans favourite days out, the ferry to Howtown and walk back to Glenridding, although, we do it around the shore of Ullswater. Real nice hike, cheers Alan

I did the full Greenburn Round a couple of weeks ago with a friend and can really recommend it. We started with Steel Fell and then did Calf Crag, Gibson's Knott and ended on Helm Crag, where my friend put me to shame and climbed the Howitzer, but then again, she only has dainty little feet, not size 11 flippers like me. Loved the snowy fells tops, something that I have really missed this Winter, cheers Alan

Hey Alan, thanks for all your comments. I saw your Greenburn round walk. Excellent video BTW. Well done on someone getting on top of the Howitzer. As you said, Mr Wainwright never managed it. I still may give it a go, but definitely not in snowy conditions. Maybe see you on the fells.

I hate cows and am always very wary of them and would rather turn around, rather than walk though a herd of them. Loved the wild flowers in the meadow and the walk up to the lakes was well worth it, amazing views, especially with the snow covered mountain tops in the background, cheers Alan.
