It really does work!! Was skeptical at first but happily surprised! Just took my nails off! Yay🎉
Do you file the tops of your nails first? And what do you do with the paper towel…scrape your nails on it in the bowl?
No I don't bother tbh! It's just more time - it's super quick without filing off the top. For gels, yes I would. Dip powder, no.
This really works! I literally never leave comments, but this worked so well I feel obligated to do so… I filed the dip first, so they were porous, and everything worked really well. Thanks for the video!
Woohoo! So glad! TBH, I don't even file off the top coat - with our brand it's not required but others might be different. :)
Bologna! I fell for this, tried it melted that plastic bag! Google it acetone melts plastic bags!
Didn't work for me either and i just wasted so much acetone 😢
What acetone did you use?
Didnt work for me,
Usually this is because you're not using 100% acetone, or your water isn't hot enough. Hope you have success next time!
Worked perfectly with Sassy Saints dip nails dark purple colour, I was surprised it worked in about 5 mins. FILE THE TOP LAYER OFF FIRST! Is my top tip.
I actually never bother to file off the top coat - it just takes more time in my experience! Straight in the bag for me! :)
I dont understand the point of the paper towel?
It's to help rub the colour off your nails :)
Did you say cotton oil on your nails?
No, coconut! Just to moisturise after removal. But skip that if you're putting on a new set straight away!
It WORKS THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!
Isn't it the best! 😍
As a nail tech and taught by CND was told never to blow the dust as it becomes airborn and more likely to breathe it in so we use the brush to gently wipe it away and if you have an extractor turn it on. Never remove acrylic and chemical products in an enclosed room without adequate ventilation. Good video though
Do I need to push my cuticles back first?
@monicahayes562 yes I would but if you don't, it will still work if they're not very attached to the nail plate.
Used this method yesterday, and it worked perfectly! So much easier than I expected. Thank you so much!
@TxChickadee it's a pleasure! So glad it was helpful! ❤️
I’m so jealous of anyone that has success with this method or any other method of dip removal. I have tried EVERY procedure and purchased lots of different products meant to aide in removal with absolutely no luck. I just spent 2 hours with my hands in acetone with a paper towel inside a ziplock in burning hot water (reboiled that water 5 times) and my dip didn’t so much as begin to flake let alone dissolve.
Could be you're not using 100% acetone? What are you using?
File off top coat sealer FIRST, Emory board on the nails helps reduce time…. I also put oil or Vaseline on my fingertips Not Nails just to protect my sensitive skin..
@@kwpad3945 I bet that's probably what happened... Didn't my remove the sealant first... And that was a great idea to put a protectant on the skin before using acetone... Thanks for sharing!
Thank you for this video! ❤
australian?
Yes we are :)
I asked for gel nails today and I got powder - it was my first time so I wasn’t sure the difference. Anyway, going to try this once they start to grow out.
It will also work for gel, but will take longer. If they used dip powder, it'll come off really fast - just make sure you use 100% acetone and HOT water. Good luck!
It worked like a charm!! You are a lifesaver! ❤
Woohoo! So glad it helped you!
Hi, do you ever do a clear coat to start and finish? I didn’t realise your colours were so opaque and just did two colour coats with a clear base and top with Opera and realised I should have done more colour! Is there a way to add more coats after sealing? Can you do base again and then dip and seal again? Also, can you file back the top coat and then do base, dip, seal then top coat again?
@JoanneRichards Hi Jo - yes to all the above! Its fine to buff back and add more layers as required. :)
how do i know if or when i should use the F or R setting?
Good question - if the drill seems ineffective, or the bit 'runs away' try reversing it - you'll soon see which direction works best for the hand you're filing. I find movement in one direction - ie, cuticle to free edge, not back and forward - is best when doing your own nails.
This don't work. I got mine done in may and it's june now. It may help brack down but it don't work at all. Especially in 10 min I have been setting here later than 15 min 🙃
Could be a couple reasons : 1: not using 100% acetone 2: acetone isn't hot enough 3: water leaking into bag 4: not using enough acetone - be generous with it! It'll also take longer for gel or normal acrylic.
Hi what mm is your ball bit?
You make it look so easy! 🩷
The beauty of BG is that its so easy to cut/file/shape! So even if it looks like a disaster, trust the process!
I kept trying to blow the dust off the video on my phone screen! 😂
😂😂😂
Im definitely going to try that method next time
It honestly makes all the difference!
I just got this. How do I sanitize the parts? Do I need to? I’m particularly concerned about parts use under the cuticle. Thanks
It's a good idea to wash and sanitise your bits from time to time - and every use if sharing with more than just yourself. You can wash the bits in dish soap and hot water, and I like to turn the drill on and spin the bit in acetone to clean them - I use the lid of my drill bit, works like a charm :) You can also use isopropyl alcohol to disinfect.
I put mine in 91% isopropyl alcohol to sanitize them.
What is name of the bit?
This one is our Mani muncher - you can see it here - adiption.com.au/collections/files-and-buffers/products/mani-muncher-removal-drill-bit
this one what size
What brand of drill are you using?
Adiption Nails - you can find it here adiption.com.au/collections/files-and-buffers/products/nail-drill
I need to practice my cuticles are sooooo sore from attempting this yesterday 😂
Oh no! Make sure you use a slow speed and don't press down. It really shouldn't hurt at all - it's should be more like a very gentle exfoliate, if that makes sense!
Thank you! I’ll give it another go next time it didn’t hurt at all until afterwards so I didn’t realise 🤦🏻♀️😂 only had it on 3-4 got a lot to learn haha
Is this done after the activator? Thanks in advance 🙂
Sorry, when you say you repeat the dipping, you mean that you apply the base coat again, dip, base coat and dip etc? Thanks 🙂
Yes exactly! I dip one nail on a whole hand, repeat on the second hand, then do the next later of base and dip on the first hand, and so on. I do 4 layers on natural nails.
Thanks so much Jessica, I appreciate your prompt response and coming back to me 🙂
Satisfying
Have been loving videos 1, 2 & 3 but can’t see “Video 4: Finishing Your Set!” It’s shown on the final screen of video 3 but wondering where I can find it please? Thanks
Thankyou for the chunky glitter, gorgeous colour, love the cupcake paper for applying.
It makes it so much easier! ❤️
Great channel! glad I found you
Welcome!! I'm so glad you found us too!
Do you add activator between each dip coat?
Nope! Just after the final dip, and again once you've finished buffing.
I love this pacific accent❤
I think it's satisfying to watch. If you need help with dust you can get a nail dust vacuum it's really good for home use if you do acrylics or gel nails. Edit also a HEPA filter air purifier you really don't want to be breathing this stuff in really
Totally agree - I am outside wearing a mask when using the e-file.
So no need to cut after doing with this tool?
No, mostly not necessary! Of course you still can if there's some stragglers, but generally I don't find there's a need!
❤
What is the best way to do your non dominant hand
Oh good question! Carefully, when you're starting out ;) I tend to hold the drill still, and move my nail - it stops me getting injuries from being to un-co haha It definitely gets easier with practice!
Very nice 👌 This rubber base coat or gel extension??
Hi Hadeel! It's a regular gel base coat, with Builder Gel on top to create the extension. :)
@@jessicapeletier8268 yeah yeah oki Thank you Jessica 😊😊
