Equal pay for women over the past however many years. Totalled £440m I believe. Myself and alot of my colleagues lost our jobs with Kier on the roads around Birmingham due to this. I think the total when they went bankrupt was in the region of £770m. Commonwealth games and HS2 played a part too.

The campus moved the Cardigan Street about ten years ago, long before they started that project. The blocks were built as part of a plan to renovate Perry Barr. The problem is that most of the locals who were displaced can't afford the new apartments, so they're not getting sold.

It went bankrupt because of what others have said, Those equal pay rulings and years of underfunding by the Tories. The ideal solution would be to use those apartments as social housing, helping to solve homelessness and be an income for the council, but they're not allowed. Funny how a giant corporation can get bailed out, but an actual council of the state isn't.
