The reason the Jon Brant recordings sounded so superior to the Tom P stuff was Jon used a 4 string bass….a Peavey Foundation in some instances. The bass lines were doubled at times for effect. He personally told me one that the 30” Hamers couldn’t sonically hang live either. Jon Brant’s years playing was a treat. He was the man!

The Katana motorcycle was a piece of garbage.

Thanks for the vid, very helpful. Removed and cleaned 5 Chops, a couple were just plain nasty! Bad enough on one that the tin pieces just disintegrated. I just have the bikes on display, don't race them, but getting that toxic thing out puts me at ease now. Thanks again!

Bought a new '86 750 in 1986 in Hampton, New Hampshire. Dave Sadowski was a mechanic at the shop and got the bike ready for pick up. He was a real nice guy and fantastic rider. Knew him several years. All these racers were excellent to learn from. Talented.

I repaired this trikes a many times.,,Never removed the Powr pak ....I found a way to just clean the battery and components without taking POWER pak away from the trike

Did u jet those carbs? I see K&N filters and I just went back to the stock OEM airbox with my 86-750G. FIngers crossed, I just put the OEM jets back in and will try to tune her this month with the OEM box.

Was working for WERA at that race, standing in victory circle and happened to look down at Polen's front wheel. The axle nut had come off and the axle was starting to back out.....dude only had a few more laps til shit went wrong. Also, @11:45 Richard F. wearing what looks to be a pair of his wife's shorts.

Sexy bike. I actually went to a dealership to look at buying one of these back in the day, I was pretty keen. The salesman talked me into taking an RG500 for a test ride as well, ended up going home with that. Can't say that I was ever disappointed in my choice, except maybe fuel economy, the RG was a beast of a bike. You've done a great job of restoring the old girl.

I love the oil cooled era Suzukis. Still ride '91 750 with 1340cc at the track and a '91 1100 on street. Katana 600, before the redesign fairings, look fantastic

how much was a gsxr1100 back then? closest cousin we can find today to these bikes is the 1200 air and oil cooled bandit
