Great video my man. I guess that’s what you expect for buying something 1/5 of the price of a Honda
Who cares about the weight, just as long as it works.
Al arbolito de navidad
For a cut like that, I'll stick with my torch.
Trying to tear through it like wood silly, it's metal go slower, even slower every 1/8 inch thicker for metal I'm sure. Overheated FATALITY.
These blades used to be pretty good. You could rip through 3/8 or 1/2 plate for 20-30 feet easy. But a couple of years ago, the quality went down. Now you get barely 6-7 feet through 1/4 steel before youre dull or out of teeth.
Keep an eye on your leading edge, and slow down. Don't rush it, let your tool do the work.
Don't put them on backwards and it should work better.
Herd the saying first cut is the deepest
Harbor freight sells a Hercules version that's half the price
Use a band saw or at least an angle grinder with a good large cutoff, take your time. Or a cutting torch. Even a hacksaw! There are a bunch of ways to cut this thick metal. Circular saw--- not one of them. Geez
Heat definitely killed the blade, I'd adjust the depth and maybe take it in two passes, sucks to have to spend that kind of money on a blade for trial and error but ince you get it figured out it should last a good while, good luck!
When you get a new blade keep your feed rate slow and steady and you shouldn't have any trouble. Also avoid moving the blade left or right when in the cut. The blades do wear out but they are faster and more portable than oxy acetylene and worth every penny in my opinion.
I bought two things that they make masonry bit, wood circular blade... masonry bit wouldn't drill 1 hole in masonry between brick ...2, 2x4's, 8ft boards, both cut in half 2 cuts there products are garbage i sent them there blade an bit with pics an thet sent me new blade, bit an refund i kwpt money n sent there products back with note sorry but I will not use not going to take a chance of ruining my tools
Gas saw or use fiber blades Dewalt on grinder work good too
Grinder just takes so long. Only reason I considered this blade. I’ll give it another shot, and go even slower. But if it takes longer than a grinder then torch it is.
The blade is heating and making it twist so it cuts off on an angle.
Skill issue
I appreciate the feedback.
That's the tradeoff with sawblades for battery tools, they are usually thinner and therefore more wibbely wobbely 😉
The reason it's walking is because the saw blade is set too deep for the material
Mine works just fine. You probably overheated the blade and warped it, or overheated the bearing in the saw and now you have some wabble in it. You have to go slow af, and use some lube so you don't lose the carbide.
From what I know of the Diablo blade 1/2 inch steel is too much. Read blabe parameters. And use a saw that does not loose rpm
It says on packaging it will go up to 1/2” plate steel. So it’s within parameters. Battery saw is within parameters too.
Your using the wrong saw. U need cord power duh
Is this a joke? Metal blades are fine tooth . Big chunky teeth are for wood you know like a 🦫. If you really did use that deep set tooth blade for metal you’ve warped the blade , bent the teeth or the arbor. Have fun.
Yup it’s the metal blade. Fine tooth is for aluminum. Arbor on saw is fine. Having fun everyday.
Try using a water bottle with a hole poked in the top and let a little water run onto the metal to cool it it's heating up and causing the blade to bend
Looks thicker then that...put a tape on your material and then on your cutting depth and then stand back and really think about what you're trying to do.
Is the circular saw for cutting metal? Are you cooling the blade? Are you trying to push through too fast? ....... sonething is causing the blade to overheat and warp and it not a malfunction of the bkade itself......
Ran it just like the Diablo video. Battery saw ✅ Cermet steel blade✅ No cooling✅
Your pushing the saw too fast... let th blade do the work
It's heat ..
Improper use of the blade. It even says in the videos to adjust blade as so the blade barely cuts all the way thru. Or do it in 2 passes.
As ur battery dies the rpm’s drop. As the rpm drops the act of going exactly straight goes away. Get a pug in saw and keep rpm’s up. It will cut a lot and straight. Battery saw killed this blade.
Used a battery saw just like Diablo video used a Makita. Maybe that’s where I went wrong, wrong brand
The blade is spinning too fast on that type of saw. I used them on my Milwaukee steel cutting saw all the time and get probably 50 to 75 cuts before even starts the dull. At 1300 RPM.In half inch steel.
your blade is set to deep
Your blade is warped. That's what's causing it to go off stride
Lube
Im pretty impressed with my one..would never try cut through half inch steel in one pass though. Coolant and speed control are also pretty damn important
Yeah I'd probably put a bit of coolant and make two passes. I mean it's still impressive that a circular saw blade will mow through half inch steel.
You overheated the blade and warped by trying to ram it through like it was your prom date. Learn the proper way to cut metal...
You just lost half of the carbide teeth on your cut, you just recorded them there by the cut... Only way to get better life on cutting so thick metal is to go not slow but very very slow... What do you think that should cut like through wood? 😂😂😂😂
I used it just like their Diablo video. Nothing extra.
I love mine. Try the blafe in a better saw. $34 @ home depot
Way to deep
All that diablo carbide bs is hype. Straight up.
Cutting too deep.
Adjust depth so valleys just penetrate!!!!!!
Depth was adjusted prior to any cuts.
Ass.
Well, i have a ton of framing to do at home... at least i know ill get juiced shoulders doing it
I’d recommend a pneumatic nailer, much lighter. I utilize battery operated Nailer for “Punch work” at work. It can definitely do some work though! But gainz are gainz!
As a regular HF customer, I felt every one of your issues.
