I have become obsessed with the index card planning system that I purchased from jennifer at Time and Tide Plans, and wanted to make a video showing you all how it works for me. For the record, no she did not ask me to make this video, I'm pretty sure she has no idea that I exist lol. I just really love it, and this is the first time I have felt “ahhhhhh” so cozy in a planning system, and I tho...

So how did your 12 week year go???
Your index cards would fit great in the pocket filofax
Omg thank you so much for this tutorial! I've always loved the delfonics pouches but I'm SO late to the game that they don't have any colors available that I like. I also want it I cuordoroy so I'm definitely going to make one myself. Thank you so much for sharing!
I do get annoyed with my own shenanigans 😂
New subbie. Retired teacher. I ❤ 12 Week Year!
@@wannaduckfin aaaayyyyyy!!! You made it to the promised land!!
Would it pass for personal item bag when flying?
@@lowconcave I’ve used it as my personal item twice with no issues. It easily fits under the seat.
does a 32 hydroflask fit?
@@amnaaaaa575 technically yes you can shove it in there , but it’s not comfortable and I would be nervous for the seams
Hi! How does it put up with all the weight? Are the seams and stitches still intact?
So far so good! No rips or tears or stretches in any way.
So far so good! No rips, tears, or stretches.
Awesome! Thank you for this! :)
Came over when Time&Tide reposted your vid and staying. We have so many similar shenanigans 😅 I'm a teacher too. I'm tired of my own s.h.i.t!!!
We got this!!! 💪🏻💪🏻
I love your sense of humor. Enjoyed this video! Keep making them!
Thanks! I was definitely in a silly goofy mood that day, but I’m glad to know I found “my people”!
Love some of your ideas with the card system!
Glad I'm not the only one that thinks we're friends 🤣 LOVE this and your shenanigans!!! We're in it to win it!! 🏆
What colour is your everywhere backpack? It looks like a charcoal grey?? X
just black, but the material is kind of shiny in the sun!
The backpack is nice! I’d like to see how you made your roll top lunchbox, it looked really pretty!
oh man. I kind of just went for it. It was truly chaotic but it worked. Sorry I wish I had a more organized response than that lol. Maybe I’ll work on a video showing the process! The inner layer is tablecloth vinyl, and the outer layer is outdoor fabric.
@@thegraincreativeco9227 that’s okay lol! Thank you anyways! 🙋🏻♀️
As a retired teacher… I was very excited to find your channel… I am also following Jenn, Time and Tides 😊
Thanks for this. I am starting those cards and I love the a5 system. Super helpful to see how you integrate!
👏👏👏 I close my kitchen every night too… I’ve done this since October 2015 and love it. It’s so nice to see someone else close their kitchen too.
Glad I found you… thanks to Jenn @timeandtideplans. I’m trying hard to figure this system out so watching your videos along with Jenn’s might help me make even more progress!! I’m WFPB and I’m the only one in my family. After many years, I’m finally able to fix holiday meals that I’m able to eat. So, I understand how challenging this can be for you. Best wishes on eating the way that serves your body best!! I need to go back and read that book you recommended on digital clutter.
Great video and it wasn’t too long. Thank you for making the video. I also use the card system from Tides and Time.
I LOVE the red Filofax & the red nails!! What a smart way to visualize your fitness plan on a card rather than just a list.
This was awesome....especially the read card - very clever. Although I wanted to see the books but I just couldn't read it...
This is an amazing video on the card system. I’m starting to put mine together now. I’d love some updates on your system. ❤
Where did you get your bag? It looks way more sturdy than some of the other ones I am seeing on Amazon.
It was a set of 7 or so bags of different sizes that I got in the travel section of TJ Maxx
You did the same thing I did. I started out 2 months ago with Monday start day and last week I changed over to Sunday start day. My deck is very large. I have started out with every household job I could think of and, and now I am zoning in on getting them combined into groups. I also have my 12 week years combined into my deck as well as medical appointments, etc. I have designed my deck for the older person as I am 73 and can only do a little at a time. I may do a video with that perspective. So my deck goes on a table with a small section pulled out into a pouch for each day. I enjoyed your video, and I love Jen and watch all her planning videos over and over. I will yours too. thanks!
What type is your pocket calendar? I love that the cards fit perfectly.
It’s one of those tiny cheap ones from target by day designer. I chopped it down to be 3.5 x 5.5
I was going to do this too, and I still might. I haven't been able to post my first video yet, but when I do I will be sure to tag both of you. I plan on showing my index card system because I have a different one from both of you. Color-coding the tabs is a great idea and I will be sure to implement that in my card deck.
Thanks for a great video!
Will you share your monthly reminders?
Are you referring to the pocket monthly calendar or the monthly cleaning tasks?
thank you for sharing this. I bought the cards awhile back but I haven't really decided how best to use them in my life.
I’ve definitely been playing a lot, but I think the whole thing is so fun and quickly changeable!!
Omg that's the opposite of what works for me! I need to see the whole day on one page so that I always exactly know what will come when. Glad it works for you though!
Some days I think that’s what my brain needs too, so I actually do have a card that lists out a full day in 15 min increments in my “blanks” section, so I use that if I need it!
I loved all the ideas...thank you sooooo much for sharing everything...😄
Love the verses!! And I love your color coding, I was thinking about doing that the other day ❤
Ahhhhhhhhhh I loved this SO MUCH!! Thank you so much for the mention. I'm so grateful you took the time to share how you use it. So many fun ideas to incorporate - do you mind if I share it? Also - what devotional are you using for the sugar fast?
You are so welcome! Of course you can share! The book is called “40 day sugar fast” by Wendy speake. She has lots of great resources on her website and Facebook group as well!
This is amazing! But what if I want the inside of the pockets to be pretty lining fabric as well.
Cut out the pocket pattern twice; sew them together right sides facing, flip it right side out and press. Top stitch near the seam if necessary! It should be acting as one piece of fabric now, and can be mounted to the base layer and worked with as usual :)
I first made this pouch almost 2 years ago. It was my first time trying to make a bag. Since then, the concepts I learned in this tutorial have enabled me to sew many different types of bags. I owe a lot to Becca!
Sorry I forgot my manners. Thank you for doing this video as I couldn't afford a Delfonics pouch and this is a great solution.
You haven't put the material at the top of the zip how far down does it go?
What a great tutorial! Thank you so much. The only things I need to know before making the medium is do I still need to add an inch each way to the pattern pieces and also do I need to add 5" to the side/bottom piece? I plan on making one of each soon!
Is it only me or how do we know how far from the tab to place the pieces to sew? Make sense? The zipper is 16" or whatever so how many inches from the top of the zip do I place the pieces that it is sewn to?
I can not believe this exists and your generosity of time and spirit. I have been eyeing this bag for a couple of years but can not afford the original. The polka dot interior is tres cute. Again, thank you for everything.
Thank you so much Becca for providing this absolutely fantastic and comprehensive tutorial and providing the pattern. I think it's perhaps the best sewing project I've ever made! I've spent the last day and a half in your company making a small pouch and I've enjoyed every minute. I've tagged you on Instagram with my completed project. Thank you once again!
Thank you so much for that pattern and tutorial! Made one this afternoon!!
Thank you! I made my today, for free, I had everything that needed at home 🥰
Wow, cool! Even the zipper? I bet I am going to have to mail order mine. No stores in this rural area.
Thank you so much for this pattern and tutorial! The instructions and pattern where very clear and easy to follow. I use mine for all my knitting supplies and im very happy with it!
I love that idea!! Thank you so much for the great feedback!
Hi, I just want to check that I need to add an inch to each pattern piece lengthwise and widthways on the medium pattern pieces? Thanks.
Thank you!
Thank you so much for this tutorial! It was very clear and the pattern is so great. I made mine yesterday afternoon. I just have to bind the edges and I'm done!
Great pattern and instructions. I've made four in the past two weeks and shared them on Instagram. I like the 'faux' ones I made better than the original :)
You should share your IG so we can see, comment, and show love.
Thanks so much for this tutorial and pattern! I've been coveting the Delphonics Pouch for a couple of years now. I know I can make one so I've not wanted to buy it but haven't made the jump to sit down and figure it out. I attempted the medium last night. It all went great until I tried to put the back piece on. I must have attached the side piece to the zipper piece crooked making it too short on the back side...Ugh! I will get it finished! It's too darn cute to give up. Great stuff! Thanks again!!
Aaamen, exactly, Ms. Jill. NOT paying those prices for a pouch. Ms. Becca is a jewel for doing all of this.
Do we still need to add an inch width and length on piece number 5 or is it fine to cut as is?
If it’s for the medium size, you will need to add an inch
