So I bought the smaller one with the wood piece on it, I feel like the wood piece hinders. Can’t get the sound out and I feel is because the hole is to small. Any help would be appreciated.
We had a batch of horns with a hole that was a bit too small. We've received a few messages from folks that have been having the same problem. If you are able to remove the wooden mouthpiece, that should solve the issue. You will have to pull it off with force. Please let us know if you're able to do this and if not, write us an email at support@norsetradesman.com and we will assist further.

@@norsetradesman just making sure the wooden mouthpiece is not glued or secured to the horn in anyway shape or form? I definitely don’t want to break it in the process of me removing it.
@@theburners32141horn is really resilient, if you've ever seen a pissed off longhorn attack a steel pipe gate you know immediately it's got some strength. 😂
The one you're showing here almost looks like there is a concavity carved into the end around the hole. I am currently trying to get one of your products to work for the first time, but mine has its blowing hole on a flat end. Is that typical? I'm seeing from other videos on the net that having that concavity on the blowing end makes it much easier to use.
I’m having the same issue, I’ve got the one with the wooden mouthpiece, will the small hole on the flat surface, they said it’s supposed to be there to boost the horn sound, but I can’t get the desired sound
I have the same horn, flat mouth piece, I still haven’t gotten a good sound out of it

@@Ghforever6_83 my wife got me this one and Im still trying to get it to function. It's discouraging tho that it doesnt appear anyone can get it to function. I havent even seen Norse Tradesman showing it work in any demo.
So I have a horn from a different company that I bought years ago and it took awhile but I figured out how to get a nice clear sound out of it. Earlier this year, I decided I wanted to get a bigger horn and bought the 28 inch one from y’all on Amazon. In the little over 3 months I have had it, I can’t get a good sound. I’m currently sitting here going between blowing my old horn and trying to blow the new one. I don’t know anything about the construction of these but the depression on my old horn is deeper than on the new horn and it feels like it gives my lips more room to vibrate as I blow vs. the new horn. Could I have gotten a horn that wasn’t made quite right or do I need a vastly different technique to blow the bigger horn?

Awesome! The mouthpiece isn't really necessary. As long as you have an appropriately sized hole, the horn should sound.

Hello I don’t know if you will reply or not but I got this Horn for my Bday but I got it from EBay because I’m in Australia and I could not get it to Australia so I got it on eBay and then when it came the people I bought it off had like a party blower stuck in the bit where you blow so I cut it out with my knife but I’m doing everything every video has told me and just making and shhhhhhhhhhhhh sound any advice?

So while practicing with my new war horn, the duck fart apparently sounds like the mating call for Canadian Geese.
Mine just arrived earlier today from Grimfrost...and of course I immediately set to tooting it, and you guessed it, Duck fart... I'm glad I'm just doing it wrong and I didn't waste my money on something defective haha. I'll be sounding the charge in no time.
