Why is the carpet dirty ? Was that used carpet?
It was new when installed but we had been using it for a season or two already.
I got a 12 foot & plan on doing the same but I weigh about 230 so I hope the stability won’t be much different as this. Nice boat man !! Tight lines 🎣
As a resident of Fairmont, I would suggest fishing Budd and Hall Lake. Amber has a little more structure for fish, along with that whole West side of Sisseton for targeting Bass. We are mostly known anymore for the Yellow Bass that are taking over our lakes, sad to say.
@@anthonyorr2487 Thanks for the info, I’ll have to make another trip down there and check them out.
What's a what not
Good question 🤷♂️
nice job, keep it up dude!
I know this video is from last year, but I have been watching your channel now for a few days. (I'm new to the aluminum boat world) and I am just so impressed with your ability to make your vision come to life using the tools you have and the materials you have without going broke to make it happen. Great work keep it up. I'll keep watching.
Thanks man, I appreciate it!
What size tires on the trailer?
They’re 4.80 by something. Pretty much as small as you can get.
Why use zip ties when with a little more time involved you can use ca cabinet or piano hinges!
Yeah, that would probably work pretty well with some rivets.
Nice job 💪
My small boats get way more use than my big ones
when Your inflationpat pops out its a sign of too much pressure inside. Might this be the reason for all your wholes?
Could be
Awesome man, bass in sleepy eye lake seemed to jump up as well.
Great content as always! Any plans to do another boat buildout?
Potentially in the future, but for the time being I have a few plans and improvements in the works for the current rigs now!
Love your build. Very well done! Simple but effective. Nice rig btw.
Thanks for watching!
Digging the new approach sir! The b-roll really setting those North Shore vibes 😎✌️
Thanks man, I appreciate it!
You guys did an awesome job!!! I have been looking at so many videos and this by far has been the best to watch!!
Thanks man, I appreciate it!
All wood being installed in the boat must be sealed on all sides. Could you look up a video on this process and how to prep for painting and carpet? Never never ever loan out your boat, it is the best way to lose friends.
Hell yeah brother! Keep it up!
5 minutes?? Man come on lol. We need longer vids
Great video man! Good stuff! I just started kayak fishing and I made my first kayak fishing video on my channel and love watching yours!! Keep up the good work! 🤝💪🎣🎣
Great editing as always!
Thanks for watching!
Great ideas for the boat! I have a sylvan that is nearly identical and this is the best redesign I’ve seen. That gap between the front seat and the bow point is a waste of space. Like a lot of the comments on here I’m both happy to see young people doing this and feeling way too old 😂. Carry on gentlemen.
@@jamesdixon7115 thanks for watching!
I have 2 of these. I only use them half a dozen times a year and they are great. Also because they are inflatable, they don’t take up a lot of space when deflated and come with a nice bag to hold it and all of the gear. If I was going to go it out on a regular basis I would definitely upgrade
Nice video!
There is no reason to have a trolling motor on a boat!
You guys did a great job
That foam is a bitch. I ended taking a huge wood drill bit and went to town
Gotta do what you gotta gotta do
@@MissionForFishing the person whom poured my foam more than likely quit right after. Saw stuff with a chain saw leave all bits block almost every dime sized drain. Like yours mine was a Pee tree dish laid my arm on old carpet instant hives. I am going with eav. The foam with lines. 2 cool thing about my boat. Got a much newer 2 stroke 75hp. Boats name is a riddle THE S.S. “ name of the cartoon rugrats street hockey team” here 2. Let’s see if ya get it
Good bunch of fellas, great to see!
Lake Taney COMO!
Sorry, I had to lol
@@fabzcedillo4616 you’re good lol
Just moved to the area, bout to swing by Sabre quick tonight and see what I can do. Thanks for awesome vid!
Good Luck!
Awesome Job Guys! I just bought a project boat and would like to know where you guys bought that light switch Bar? All the lighting? The Hinges for compartments? Did you brush the paint on the whole boat ? Where did you pick up Carpet? What brand of glue did you use? It looks like you also stapled Carpet as well as glue, is that Correct? Front Bow lights? Blue lights ? Small interior white lights, can you say where you got all these supplies? Did you use 5/8” or 1/2”plywood? What did you water proof plywood with? Thanks in advance!! And again Great Job👊🏻👊🏻
SO UNDERRATED just went fishing on sleepy eye lake today amd caught 5 little pike then a 20 incher and a 31 incher😊
Lol, I was out there yesterday and caught a few too
@MissionForFishing I was there all day long so i probably saw you at one point
Force, I remember!!
Great job as always, love your editing skills. Even if you don't wanna film a teardown/rebuild, throw up a timelapse, it's super interesting!
Get it done! Lets see part 2!
4 stroke 60 is the strat
I think a 4 stroke is the strat
Great job!! I was just looking for ideas to paint and redo the seats on a boat I have like this one, but now I’m thinking about doing something similar.
Just came across the video. How did it hold up?
Held up great for the year or two we used before he sold it.
Amazing boat! you guys crushed it! I just saw a video worrying me a little about making sure I put enough sea foam in the boat if I add wood. How safe and secure would you say your boat feels after having it for awhile? I feel like if the weight doesn't exceed the boats weight capacity your fine right? Everyone I see making these boats seem to be doing fine with very minimal foam and doing fine with the pink foam sheeting under floor boards.
Thanks, we’ve never had a problem with weight and decking yet. The pink foam is great to throw under deck is you feel it needs more flotation.
@MissionForFishing Right on, thank you!
Nice video! Where did you put the front tie down cleats?
Thanks, they still need to be added back onto the boat lol
I know this is an old video but if you're adding tubing to a crate like that, use a bottom cross piece. I.e. make it like a letter E turned sideways. It would have given it a LOT more strength/stability. The tubing would have done all the support and the zip ties simply would be needed to hold it against the create.
Nice job kiddo!
Thanks!
Its milk not MELK
Yup
Feeling a little weird. Smacks himself in the face lol
I’ll be looking for this years video
That's what you call the people that you hang out with. Have no respect for you or your stuff I would not allow them to hang out in my boat any longer
Dude I just came across you looking for ideas to revamp my boat and I saw this vid and the one of you guys fixing your friends and man you give me some serious inspiration. Keep it up bro!
Thanks for watching!
How many qts?
I just found your channel today and I really enjoyed your video. I just wondering what horsepower motor do you have on the 12 foot boat?
Thanks, it’s a 1969 mercury 9.8
