The paper clip only shorts two pins on the right Joy Con Rail acting as "third" button to put the first 20 million Switch units released into RCM, or recovery mode. Just the same as you would with a phone or tablet, the exploit is FAR more complex than just that. The actual exploit is in the NVIDIA Tegra X1 CPU, Nintendo patched the early units after so many were already out in the wild. However this expoilt in the Tegra X1 is still present to this day even on their latest OLED Switch, just different & more difficult methods are needed to hijack the Switch's hardware now that require opening the console and micro soldering. Nintendo fixed their "backdoor" CDN access years ago at this point, when you own the hardware using that exploit before any security chain of trust can even start to be built we now own the console down to the bare metal & there's not a damn thing Nintendo can do to stop it on their first Switch (and subsequent models).

I agree. That being said though, I might cackle a bit if the next console gets hacked as fast as the switch did. Especially if it’s with another “paper clip” type of situation lol. Hopefully they learned their lesson though.

I suppose it comes down to what you consider a kids game. Half of the games in this list is rated T and up (3 games are M rated). Where as a game like Breath of the Wild is rated E, but adults are the one who took away the most of that experience. But that aside my picks for this video were mostly me looking at games and franchises that haven't seen the sun in a while. :)

Oops, you’re absolutely right! I could have communicated that better. I looked up the laws because I remembered there was something about it, but I couldn’t recall exactly. After re-reading what I found, I realized it said same-sex marriage is not legally recognized. My brain ignored ‘ly recognized’ and only registered ‘not legal,’ and I went off in the wrong direction. My bad! Thanks for calling me out on it!

Interestingly, not having a gender restrictions for marriage is technically simpler to code. Since you would first create the code for marriage as a feature either way, but then add exceptions to prevent any character from getting married to make in hetero marriage only. However, to your point, while this approach could work for gender expression, ACNH doesn’t include marriage, so it wouldn’t address that issue. (Unless I am forgetting something)

Sexuality has no place in a game targeted towards children though. It would be perverted to suggest otherwise.

Before the Switch I defiantly would of agreed, but they had really impressive games run on something that is about as strong as a PS3. Switch 2 is rumored to be around the same amount of power as a PS4, so still behind the curve. However, this means it will be cheaper then PS5 an Series X. Plus PS4 games still look great anyways so I can't wait to see what Nintendo can pull off with the extra power. Also, it's worth remembering that if it's a hybrid system, it won't be as strong as a dedicated home console since it has to remain portable. And I'm fairly sure one of the reasons Nintendo likes cartridges so much is because it makes it harder for people to pirate (not impossible thought clearly lol). The only advantage I can see us consumer having is that at least cartridges won't scratch in your pocket on the go I guess.

Although I can't see them doing that, it would be AMAZING if they would! I feel like business off all kinds underestimate the power of doing random acts of good will. The best example I'd say is the rise in popularity of the Staley mugs after they got a random lady a car cause hers burnt. Obviously they aren't going to buy everyone cars but the good will payed off because people went nuts for their products after the story broke. As for the TOTK clothes. I really wish it did, but the producer of the game Eiji Aonuma stated in an interview shortly after the game released that this was it. Next project him and his team was going to work on was something completely different. The reason is since TOTK was initially part of a DLC for Breath of the Wild but then got so big that it made more since to sell as a stand alone game, it would be weird to make DLC for something that was DLC. I agree though I wish there was just a bit more to keep it fun in the late/after game.

@@Acadrien Disagree when the "DLC" that is TOTK lacks the master mode that was in the base game. If we're going with the notion that TOTK is $70 DLC to a $60 game, then it should have a master mode.

According to ex Nintendo employees Kit and Krista, Nintendo historically never payed as much attention to investor as we think. By all means they don't ignore them thought! They did mention though that near the end of their time at Nintendo investors did hold a bit more power then they did initially. Based on that information, I personally believe that they might acknowledge that new hardware is on the way, but we won't see it or know what the name is. I think it's worth being excited, but only cautiously excited. Those are just my thoughts though!!

Hey no worries at all, I’m always glad to clarify!! When I say that I am starting to feel bad for Nintendo RUclipsrs, I specifically mean the daily Nintendo RUclipsrs (which does often mean news). And yes, I do agree with you Nintendo has a deep well of topics people can use to talk about. I feel like a really good example of that is the RUclipsr Scott the Woz. even though he doesn’t post as much as he used to on his main channel I feel like he’s really good at taking really obscure Nintendo topics and making something really special out of them. As for the why I’m starting to feel bad is because I feel like people tend to forget that on the receiving end of the nasty comments they leave on a video is a human. Now don’t get me wrong. I am fully aware that hate comments are part of the territory but for these people, this is how they keep the lights on. It also creates this weird situation where they kind of promised to have a video every day, so people expect a video every day. But if there’s nothing interesting going on, they usually have to find obscure articles that has no real value. As we agree on, Nintendo is a treasure trove for topics. But if you have to talk about Nintendo every day, original content can be tricky. Original content takes time to ideate and develop so pumping out a high-quality videos every day is unfeasible so it kind of puts them in a “heads I win, tails you lose” situation if that makes sense. Of course I don’t expect to change the world with this video, but I thought it was an interesting topic worth discussing. :) Hopefully that clears any questions you had, but if not ask away!

I agree. Rumors and leaks are two separate things, but I feel like at this point, many of these content creators are reporting and discussing rumors as if they were leaks since they know they can swing it in a way that will get more clicks.

I agree with you, but I think it’s more of a balancing act of finding a niche while also leaving some room for flexibility and creativity. I think there’s an art to it, and while niching down can help attract an initial audience, you’re right, having some flexibility allows for growth and experimentation. But I think it should still relate to your niche. The best example I can think of is a seafood restaurant. Seafood is their “niche” people go in to eat their seafood. Pasta is Italian food; therefore, you can’t serve lasagna because your clientele (or audience in this case) aren’t interested in that from your specific restaurant (or channel). However, even though something has nothing to with your niche, you can still add your own spin. So maybe you can’t serve lasagna, but your clients would probably be interested in a seafood lasagna (hopefully that make sense lol). Ultimately though I think a part of the core issue is like anything, once money is involved perspective and intentions starts to shift. Although I think they should get compensated for the work they put in. When your livelihood depends on it, it often shows in your work. Especially in creative fields like content creation. When there's financial pressure, it can be tempting to stick to what's safe and proven to work rather than taking risks. However, for those who genuinely enjoy what they do for a living outside of RUclips, there's often more room to explore and take those creative risks. I understand that for some people becoming a full-time content creator would be they’re ideal end goal. But I think being able to find happiness, stability, and sustainability outside of RUclips first can also help ripen your mind for creativity. At least that’s my perspective anyways. :)
