People were lining up for 'a long time' already. They don't need more customers. Someone Pekora's size shouting them out could end up as more of a hug of death than an actual benefit. A lot of these Japanese small businesses just don't seem to be interested in expansion.

I understand your sentiment, but there are certain ramen stores where the owner is very particular about the way their food should be sampled (including even adding sauces or spices). Like in Chloe's case, where she was chased out of the restaurant after she added water to her noodles, if you did that the owner would probably kick you out and return your money. Personally I went to a sen-katsu bar restaurant with another foreign ASL, and when he added tobasco sauce to the skewers the owner flared up and chased us out. Our money was refunded but we did feel in a very bad, sulky mood afterwards. Whilst I think such owners could do well with learning more leniency to their customers, I think we also have to respect them for their profession and cuisine.

Why dont you try that. You would get kicked out lol. They refund you the money anyway.

@@jaybee9213 For different items. I don't remember exactly what skewer it was, but I think it might have been just normal harami pork skewer or something, which should only be briefly dipped in some special blend of thick soy sauce apparently.

@hetaresgaming7771 that sounds insane. I've never experienced anything like that here and I do crazy shit with food all the time. Guess it's just a cultural thing

"must be one of those Japanese things..." I know there's a store that lets you bring a pot to take out the store's hotpot ramen (鍋ラーメン) to bring home. Some news articles and blogs covered it in 2020. It's nice-- but it's not common at all lol

Yes, the waiter will force you to eat it in the store. Eat at the store or leave without it. No takeout means the noodles can't go out of the store, period.

That makes things simple though, because this means that you don’t have to get reservations for a very high-end restaurants to please her if you want to go out for a dinner date, and then her other ideal form of dating literally cost you 50 bucks at worse to feed both of you, and that would be looking at it from an American perspective, I don’t think she’s going to be coming out to American American so we will probably be even cheaper since you’ll be doing it in Japan

They should take lessons from AZKi. Easily asked her out one time then extracted another date the last time.
