Lizzie, it makes me happy to see you so happy! Art like music is a wonderful pastime, hobby and therapy! Mine is music and poetry. I know how it feels to find a great book of poetry or a new music book. I do love crafting too, but I didn’t get the gift like you have. My three daughters fortunately are gifted artistically and I enjoy seeing their things. Love and hugs to you!! I can’t wait to see what you make with those scraps!

Re: tracing the book patterns (bird houses), using tracing ppr./"onion skin", ... Doesn't someone in the house (or your daughter's) have a *(combo) printer/scanner/copier? You could lay the page on the scanner/copier, (enlarge or make it smaller), and hit 'GO'.....Then, you CAN cut the COPIES (you could even put a sheet of cardstock in, to get more like a template). 'Just a wild idea🤗. "Well" (<< "deep subject"!), whatever you do, have fun doin' it!😉.

That green + brown + black piece that you've made (when you removed the buttons + flowers) brings to mind *tribal totems and art from New Zealand !🙃. Do you see it?
