ofc new jeans have the power to say they want to break their contracts. i specified in the video that them feeling less control over the situation doesnt mean that they cant get out of their contracts, just that it might be a harder battle than they anticipated, which could be something as simple as them realizing they need a lawyer or something more complex like a full legal battle. as for the article.. thats exactly why i prefaced that articles will lie! depending on whos giving them more money atm, they will say whatever makes their money source happy, so it doesn't surprise me if that article comes from hybe pushing a narrative. however, i do know that in order to severe a contract freely, you do have to go through some sort of legal processing. now, ig they could always just severe their contract completely and pay the debts theyd owe to ador/hybe, but if nwjns has done that, then it was either after this video was posted or i was just unaware of that and that feeling of being out of control comes from something else. but, just from my previous knowledge of other kpop idols going through similar trials, i know that to get out of their contracts, there is a legal battle ahead of them. thats what im trying to say in the video, i apologize if that's unclear!

@@zeyv4551 im not saying that bts supports their actions, im saying bts support their decision. they know mhj uses nwjns as a shield, so they dont harbor the resentment toward them that ppl think they would. they feel a sort of responsibility and have an older brother/dad energy over the other artists under hybe, which comes from them being neglected by their own seniors when they were juniors. bc of that, they want to feel like every artist under their sister labels are content and happy with hybe, and since nwjns seemingly arent, they are in support of their decision to leave, just not necessarily the things theyve done and the step theyve taken to do so. something important to note about bts is that most of them, including their leader, are still in the military so its possible they dont know the full extent of the situations going on at hybe and only see things at face value, much like how fans do. when i pull a card for the whole group, its a general feeling amongst all of them, individual members feelings might be overlooked, so its possible that the two members that are home have a different opinion than the ones in the military, but since its a general reading for all of them as a whole, those two opinions get lost. now as for illit.. i do think they were made to comepete against nwjns, but i dont think thats a bad thing. all girl groups rn are competeing against nwjns and each other. they all follow the same general trends and go for the same general looks, thats just how kpop works. illit, despite them having a completely different sound and concept from nwjns, were still set up to be direct competitors against nwjns. i just think that illit were lied to about that and told something completely different. thats why they feel betrayed by their own people, something had to of been exposed to them. i also think that any ceo who has a long standing beef with another ceo bc they keep insinuating their group is a knock off version of hers, would feel a bit smug and rejoice in the fact that that woman is gone, and so is the group. at the end of the day, these companies only care about money, so one group out only means more money for their group

Award shows... Hybe does not control any of them, so they can't make those shows follow their own rules or be fair. Take for instance, L1sa & Brvno's song for that one award show (I think MAMA). I don't care if you like the song or not. It did not even meet the timing period to be nominated, yet it was nominated and won. Another instance is LSFM being excluded completely for an award that they most likely would have won, so another group, from a label company with lots of connections to these award shows, can win. BTS did not win any deasangs for a few years when they first started and used to be mocked and ridiculed for it, until they started winning, then everyone started getting mad at them for winning ta of them.

I think you underestimate how hard it is to get a Daesang. It’s not simple award, I mean look at Aespa they’re the first girl group to receive the award (keep in mind Kpop started around the 90s). New Jean and their success is one of the stroke of luck stories (ones that happen every couple of years). Ultimately, the industry is tough and competitive.
