Whats the name of the marching song
This should have been the theme of Star Trek the Next Generation
1:07 what is the name of this march?
This remark of the tip it is very insolent low class person
It seems so small world to mix a tip with this part of our countrys history what a small mind
Insolente atrevido narrow minded el que infiltro lo del tip a un mesero se merese un cachazo en la cara insolente poco hombre
What is the march, played from 1:07 forward. Have tried to find out for years.
If only I could have been alive then and old enough to have served under and in Patton’s 3rd Army and met him.
at this periode american army was segregated , general patton witnessed the unsegregated moroccan army that had even superior black officers
For tan impressive military tatoo if you wish to call it that, watch this 1949 film from 21:48 until 24:30. It's an honor guard of the US military government in Berlin. The Big Lift FULL MOVIE HD / Montgomery Clift / OLD TIME MOVIE / In Color Surprise Film Gem! - RUclips
Me and the boys after passing our WWII History final exam
I’d like to know what this March is called.
Why is Patton wearing I believe is the Order Of Lenin on his jacket
Despite Patton's...not so hidden resentment of the Soviets, Stalin actually liked the guy and his aggressiveness. Though he didn't recieve the Order, he did receive an equivalent Order, the Order of Kutuzov.
I hope someone can help me with two questions I've always had about this movie first question what is the exact piece of music they're playing in this scene I love the trumpet sound I've always wondered what it's called second question the real George Patton of thought of the movie and George C. Scott playing him
I dont know about the music but the real George Patton died very shortly after the war in an automobile accident and is buried with his soldiers in a military cemetery in Europe. This movie came out along time after that so Patton never saw the movie.
This music is Moroccan, it is called the "55 th" and is played by the Philharmonic Orchestra of the Moroccan Royal Guard
Anyone know what the title of the music is called?
If I remember correctly, Morocco was first country to officially acknowledge the United States as a sovereign nation. Oh… I can’t imagine that Donald J Trump is not the son of this great general!
What a march/music from 1:15 to 2:15?
A blessed General capable of handling one of the best army of the world, the German Army
I love how Patton genuinely loves the pomp and circumstance of it all. Hell, I'd enjoy it too!
Like a good American he loved submissive fellows instead of other competitive superpower
@@LagoRancoHelicopterTours that ain’t just an American thing
@@LagoRancoHelicopterToursYou need a correction: He likes respectful nations who are strong and courageous enough to fight while acknowledging the contributions of their allies, rather than arrogant psudeo superpowers who rape and massacre all of Eastern Europe while pretending to be "liberators".
Anyone know the title of the music at 1:19
Did those fine looking Moroccan troops ever get a crack at the Germans?

I came here to ask the same question. The Internet is not helping.
Why would the Moroccans have soldiers mounted on camels?
Ahhh perhaps because good part of Morocco is in the Sahara desert?
@@five_o_fever9381, you’re right! Maybe it’s because horses don’t work as well as camels in the desert.
Recon and intel gathering in the vast desert where no vehicle can reach.. camel units is no longer exists now
A combination of the bible and Hollywood! Only a general like Patton would have it right on the spot!
Call me crazy, this is my #1 favorite film of all time. Patton was such a fascinating character. Not that I would want to be a private under his command. The Germans could not believe we did not have him in command of our invasion of Europe. Guys like him are not made in California anymore!
Proud that my country had hosted the mighty patton one of the greatest generals of all time
Morocco is our oldest ally. The First Nation to recognize us as a nation. Hat tip 🎩
@aymen I take it that you're Moroccan Or Is Tunisian ?
@@fourleafclover2885 This I was never aware of I never heard this before
@@ssabp8313 It's true. On December 20, 1777, Sultan Sidi Mohammed Ben Abdallah, known under the name of Mohammed III, made Morocco the first sovereign state to recognize de facto independence of the United States by granting the navigators of the American colonies the right of stowage in the ports of his kingdom
@@hamben6325 Not just that he also helped the Americans with soldiers and weapons in their war against the British
I think George Scott played the role of Patton than Patton himself
Poland actually charged the Germans panzers on horses

Nikolaos Seenopoulos You’re right I found that out it was a picture someone took.
However they did it poles were the first to go out and fight the fascists where is the rest of Europe was only too glad and too. Willing to appease them
And the tagine is spectacular, too. Mmmmmmmm.
Patton loved uniforms and ceremony. Hence the comment that was given about the Moroccan troops! He was old style military not part of the thrown together Army to fight world war II. But he was a soldier a real soldier and most people can't handle that. He was the kind of man who while others would rather be out hunting and fishing he was exactly where he wanted to be right on the battlefield!
@George Alexandru, even though he did that, he was a MASSIVELY respected General and an old fighter. In fact, he was part of the raid to capture Pancho Villa.
@George Alexandru The thing u don't know is that the Moroccan army is one of the most professional armies on earth we should never forget that this army is the one who defeated the Germans in Italy and made the way for the allies to attack Hitler from another front
He is being awarded the Grand Cross of the Order of Ouissam Alaouite
Technically that's the Grand Cordon, not Grand Cross but it is often mistranslated as Grand Cross becasue that's the English translation of the equivalent award for the _Légion d'honneur._
And the lions tremble at his approach.
The Dems in their dents tremble at his approach.... only after a very intense and never ending 4 years campaign of defamation an lies, dozens of leftist media networks, hollywood and entertainers, and the Dem party where able to defeat him, in a very dubious election.. Yes I am talking... The Donald.. .
Comparing a cowardly chickenhawk grifter to Patton? Fairly insulting to Patton.
@@flyboy152 I would think thay ANY admirer of Patton has to be Republican... I am..you are obviously not..... That weird to me... By the way I never compared The Donald with Patton....who says I am comparing ?

Kind of a pity modern armies don't fight in uniforms like those anymore. Not practical for a modern battlefield, of course. But still a pity nonetheless.
Go see the Old Guard wearing Blue & Buff….
Their band standards are very high
But later on Moroccan hippies showed up to protest the war, so they called the fez...
What a brilliant performance George C Scott of General George Patton JR. In my opinion no one could have played the better. Just my humble opinion.
@John Gilliam I wont go that far but close. Scott was a professional with a great voice to play Pattion
He played Patton better than Patton played Patton.
He played a better Patton that the real Patton could have.
Yep.
He coulda been Mussolini, too.
Poland actually went up against Germany’s tanks on horses with spears lol.
The funny part is that they were none german soldier in Morocco.
The whole colonial french army stationed in morocco were at german intel officers disposal
Not going to lie but, this band plays a lot better than some to most military bands in the Middle East, just saying, might be wrong.
Having seen recent videos of them playing, they still sound really impressive.

The Allies invaded a legitimate neutral country twice to get at the Nazis. They invaded Algeria in Africa (Vichy France possession) and Vichy France itself on D-Day. Vichy France had been recognized as a legitimate country even by the USA even though it was an obvious Nazi puppet state.
are u making a point ? Algeria and Morc. were French "Protectorans" .
First, Vichy France had ceased to exist by 1944, and second, Normandy was never a part of Vichy. So, get your facts right before you post bullshit.
