My favorite group of all time. Especially love their older music.

Songs in the 60's were short or they wouldn't get airplay on top 40 stations. The song is about the hippies all going to San Francisco in the 60's but getting homesick and going home. That "One for all" 1989 tour video mentioned at the end is excellent and I recommend the medley from that show to you for a reaction. It features each brother, their interactions and the sheer talent of 3 men, just Barry's guitar and tens of thousands of fans and covers small bits of their many hits as well as songs they wrote for other stars but sadly hadn't recorded themselves. Robin often sang ballads but did songs early as well as later in their career (while Barry dominated disco)....Bodyguard, Fallen Angel (upbeat for him), When he's gone, Country Lanes, Juliet (live in Berlin in 1991). "For whom the Bell tolls" is a standout of Barry and Robin alternating (best version is in New York City with the twin towers in the background). 👍Barry's voice is certainly more commercial, Robin's is rare, haunting and unique and Maurice's is terrific but up against, for better or worse, 2 very "distinct" voices but he was the musical genius of the group instrumentally. I recommend Above and Beyond, Closer than close or Hold her in your hand for Mo. A shame the brothers were unfairly blacklisted due to overexposure in the disco era because so many great songs were never heard on the radio. If they had been I believe they would have beaten the records of EVERY other group! They deserve to.

That’s why I love music….we all can have favorites, but still like them as a whole together ❤. You said you like Robin’s innocence. I like Barry because of his leadership, and his devotion to his wife, Linda. They make such a sweet couple. And, of course, Barry and his looks and voice didn’t hurt either.🤣. My problem is some folks pick favorites and then turn around and bash the other two! I love how you’ve described Robin as your favorite, but still played homage to Barry & Maurice.👍🏾. I, too, wish the twins were still here. Undoubtedly, they all would probably still be making beautiful music together. Franklyn, I just loved your reaction to Robin's lead in "Massachusetts". This is actually the song that drew me to precious Robin all the way back in 1967 when these three amazing men first arrived on the scene. Yes, I'm from the dinosaur era. 😊 I'll be 71 next week on July 31st. I know, that's old, right? But I credit these three men for keeping me "young at heart" all these years with their perfect three part harmonies and beautiful leads, especially Robin's wonderful ethereal voice which you recognized and fell in love with right away. You picked up on that innocence in his voice, that same innocence that stole my heart ❤ way back in 1967 when he was just a 17 year old teenager writing and singing this amazing song. Let me know if you're aware of the fact that this song reaching #1 literally saved Robin and his future wife Molly from being killed in the Hither Green train disaster in November of 1967. If you're not familiar with the story I'd be happy to share it with you later. If he had been killed in this awful crash just think of all the beautiful songs we would never have experienced from these wonderful brothers. 😢 I'd love to request another great Robin lead that he first sang in 1968 called "I Can't See Nobody". Please go to "The Midnight Special" channel and look up his amazing and, in my humble opinion, his most heartfelt performance of this extraordinary song. I promise that you won't be disappointed with his performance in which he pours his entire heart and soul into. Just make sure that you're using their video because there is another video of this performance out there that ruined the ending by rolling credits. The Midnight Special recently released it from their vault and it was just wonderful to see the brothers sing all the way through to the end. You'd make this old lady very happy for her birthday if you would react to it soon. I definitely think that Robin's voice in this song will make you cry.
