 Biker Rescues Pheasant

From my last episode I flattered my battery on my BMW motorcycle through Rider error. I receive lots of great comments in regards of tools to go forward like jump pack and other gear as this is a new channel not so much new to adventuring as I’ve had a lot of motocross bikes in my younger days and was always out in the countryside but this is a bit different having an ADV adventure bike whilst...
SOS Help Motorcycle Stuck in Hope Vally ,Darbyshire

Whilst out riding my new BMWR 1250 GSA I was in the beautiful Pete District countryside whilst filming I flattened my battery on my motorcycle. My motorcycle has a built-in SOS system for Recovery and to make matters worse there was no phone signal for me to get help from any friends or family so I pressed the SOS button for help but to know prevail so I was left trying to push my heavy bike up...

Always carry a jump pack after mine did the same 3 yr ago in Cumbria !
@@dockerandy luckily there was hills to get a bump start on would’ve been devastated if there was no hills. Cheers mate 👍
Love it!!!!
Yessssss!!!!
Yes Wayne! This was an awesome day.
Yeah was a good 1 👍
Hey brother. Is it okay if I use it on my channels (Moto Maxi, Maxi Made and Moto Viral) Full Credited ofc. Thanks in advance.
Got you bro 💪
Cheers brother
Your good old pal smokey here 💀
Hey mate! Would it be okay to use it in compilation? Full credited ofc!
Who was filming while you were pushing your GS ?
@@furryhenry insta 360
😢 bad times dude!
Yeah!
Hello! Would it be okay to use it in compilations and maybe on some of ours Social Networks? You will get full credit for it. Thanks
@@dirtbikelunatic yeah go for it dude 👍
@@TwoWheelsAndTaste Thanks a lot :)
what a cracking way to spend a sunny, clear evening. Lovely scenery around the Peak District. PS sound from your mic is clear with not too much external noise. Do you record that to your Insta360 directly and then edit using their studio laptop program?
Hi Andrew, thanks for that mate. Yes, I have a microphone that goes directly into the 360 then edit from there in the studio.
‘Take it home and eat it’ 😂😂😂
I know James was only joking hope she managed to recover cheers mate
I never use my kill button. I always turn the engine off with the ignition switch.
Thanks martin I will start doing that going forward appreciate that mate
Erm… I’d hate to think you were telling the world and his aunt that the 40th anniversary thing was to commemorate The Long Way Round. Apart from the fact that that BMW rarely remark upon it it was filmed in 2004. 21yrs ago. The anniversary is for the first GS. Who told you it was because of Ewan and Charlie???
It was a gentlemen at the ABR Festival , We was on his Table with Drinks ,Yes your right ,my Apologies mate .
Breaking into a sweat just watching
I know mate it was tough hope it doesn't happen again cheers mate
Great video Wayne. That was a lovely day out with you guys. Roll on more adventures for 2025
Thanks Andrew see you soon Buddy
Mate, well done for pushing your GS up the hill. Glad you got sorted eventually
Thanks Andrew hope your well pal , yes that was a killer lol cheers mate
@@AndrewDixon-u1z thanks Andrew
With modern vehicles they still need a minimum voltage on the electronics in order to be able to fire up the engine even with a bump start. It looks as though your battery possibly recovered just enough for the electronics to be energised and for you to be able to bump start it. Maybe you need to carry a set of jump leads.
Thanks Friend yes I will order some incase it happens again cheers mate
@@TwoWheelsAndTaste Or maybe better a small jump starter pack as you can also use it to power up your phone.
With all the highly expensive computer aids and huge TFT screens, BMWs don’t include an instrument display of the charge in battery or the charging rate when riding. I am aware that later model BMWs require to be on charge all the time when not in daily use, whereas a R1100/1150 will retain its’ battery charge for a long time, progress? No gloves?
Riding on road drone chasing, gloves?
“I love this bike”, a few minutes later… “Faaaack” 😂
thanks mate I know what you mean hahaha
If it makes you feel better I can't get a NHS dentist and the bill for a crown a couple of fillings and a clean is nearly that muchand I don't get to ride them ride safe pal enjoy😢😅

Wow mate it’s a wounder you don’t hurt yourself the weight of that , I would call a friend, I hate to see someone struggling, I feel for you .
Thanks for the comment. Really appreciate it. Yes, it was tough. I learned my lesson. Thanks again.X

"It's a lump innit" Exactly why I won't ever own a GS. "What an elmit" You said it.
😂😂I know I was fuming with myself suppose I’ve always learnt the hard way cheers mate thanks. Happy days 👍
I can remember when a kick start was an optional extra, it was so high up on the gear box I think you would have to stand on the cylinder head to get the leverage. 70’s if anyone is wondering. Stopped around 1980 I believe.
yes like the Maco 490 that was hard to start
Not the best song to be chippering away to at a memorial ride mate......
Yeah your right mate will review it and change it cheers dude 👍
Enjoyed watching your video I always carry a Noco jump pack in my top box. Had to use once on my GSA 1250 and got me out of a similar situation 👍👍
Noco jump pack I will look into that thanks Dude
I feel for you. Battery tender FTW ;-)
cheers Dude
Just subbed - lessons learned here for all 👍
Thanks mate appreciate you watching 👍
Even predictive text doesn’t let you spell that badly.
yes sorry not a very good reader
There's always one that has to comment about spelling instead of the video 🤪😂
@ there was actually more than one but I appreciate your effort.
@ cheers dude 👍
Good video buddy I’d invest in a booster pack easily carry on bike 👍🏻🏍️ nice bike enjoy 👍🏻
thanks brother really appreciate Everyones help and cheers
Tough day ! All I can say is you've spent thousands on a very nice looking bike , Bought yourself good gear , A Drone , Look like nice soft crash bar bags , 360 cams etc ... I would suggest buying tools that get you out of trouble as things go wrong sometimes !! As you've just found out ....Battery pack ( not much bigger than a phone ) tyre repair kit ( plugs/pump ) etc , These bikes are hard work to push about as I'm sure you can confirm .. Also someone may correct me if I'm wrong ? but trying to bump these bikes with so much electronics on is really hard , ECU shuts down so no fuel pump etc , TFT lights up but not like bump starting an older bike , BUT saying that have seen ppl bump them in 6th gear as less torque so that might be bollocks , lol
I do have most Thinks ,but not a battery pack and yes your right about TFT one occasion it came up said something about the fuel pump and ECU but when I got her started it when away , thanks for you input Ian appreciate it
wayne 14.4v is the charge rate of the alternator your battery should be about 12.6v at rest anything lower than 12.2 is considerd a battery that needs a charge or replacement .just a bit of info for you
thanks mate appreciate that going to ring Bmw tomorrow see if I can get her booked in for the weekend for a new battery just to be on the safe side don't want that to happen to me again .cheers m8
@@watkinmarchington8759 thanks mate. Appreciate that. Going to ring Bmw tomorrow. See if I can get her booked in for the weekend. for a new battery just to be on the safe side don’t want that to happen again cheers mate 👍
@@TwoWheelsAndTaste or faulty rectifier regulator if it isnt charging at 14.5 volts with engine running, invest in a booster pack
*Derbyshire *no "Pete district"- brilliant, thanks for the laugh 😂
*Valley
Glad you enjoyed it lol
Jeez felt for ya there man that is not a bike for pushing any distance and it's so easy to miss that stop switch in those situations whilst focused on the situation and talking with that guy who was helping .Good to see she fired up eventually though .👍
I know mate it was a tough day , there was no way I was living her ,thanks tho buddy
Beautiful Drone flight and the quotes. They were all lovely and so uplifting and positive! That rectangular overflow was interesting and unique. Thanks for the lovely journey. I enjoyed all 7.9 min.
