I come from a computing job in very high tech for 40 years. I dont know why more women arent in this field! I mentor groups of them and some stay but quite a few leave. Sometimes men are very belligerent to women in computing.

I have been told to write a book about my life (living in the Amazon jungle, later drug addict in the states, straight now for 45 years ..) but at 75 yrs old the book would be a huge tome of what not to do!! Very interesting concepts discussed here. Thank you both. Blessings!

Sadly even though you said “stab them in the neck and go on my way” you don’t just go on your way. If you kill someone even in self defense you have to go to jail and court and go thru the whole process. You don’t just go on your way because it was self defense. You will definitely win in court against a murder charge but you still have to go and stand trial. It’s not just a little thing that happens and you go on with your day. You can tell she has never killed someone in self defense. It will probably never happen either. She looks like she is probably late 40s maybe 50. The chances of you killing someone now is super slim in self defense. I’m glad you are trained to know what to do but we need to be realistic. In your words you basically just killed someone in an airport and want to just walk away like nothing happened? Yeah okay, Goodluck with that. You aren’t catching your flight let me just say that.

That is basically useless as a weapon. Not to mention it's prohibited to bring any sharp objects onto a plane in the US. You're better off bringing a big metal water bottle and using it as a club.

That thing is practically useless as a weapon. You'll poke a small hole in someone and likely just enrage them.

You’re also missing the concept. It’s a discrete weapon. It’s meant to LOOK like a sharpie but it’s actually a small pocket knife/ jab weapon. They are non lethal but can catch someone by surprise and help people get away. Also they hurt like hell. A girl got me in the ribs once while I was trying to break up a fight. You know those little jab pen keychains with all the SD tools on it? Works like that.

What is y’all’s problem? Small, non deadly, concealed weapons are completely authorized in airports. Even some small retractable pocket knives are allowed in your carry on . A “byrna “ is a small gun like device that shoots TEAR GAS POWDER. As a smaller woman, it is utterly terrifying traveling alone. No woman wants to be sexually harassed, that is EXACTLY why these weapons are authorized. PEOPLE HAVE THE RIGHT TO PROTECT THEMSELVES. Next time you decide to tear someone apart for no reason, at least be informed first. The amount of idiocy in this world is becoming INSANE 😭

You are two amazingly helpful women! At the Drs office my blood pressure was too high. So I asked for 15 minutes in which I meditated and it had gone down 10 upon Drs return. Meditation counsel verified. Hiding our past traumas, a "don't air family's dirty laundry in public" syndrome also has stymied my wish to write my book. Excuse? Does that crap go against "Honor your father and mother" Commandment? My take was No. However they have passed, I am old, so in hopes of touching just one life, I shall attempt it. The mindset of restructuring possible negative results to positive actuality, while dealing with fears still hit the ole bitch brain, has served me well. Blessings to both of you! Thank you.
