Welcome! I'm Tess, I live in Darwin, in the Northern Territory, Australia, My artwork is a blend of local, national, and international influences, which come together to create my unique style.

I work primarily in oils. then acrylics, and soft pastels, using each medium to highlight different aspects of my artistic vision. My florals, often painted with thick, textured acrylics, capture dynamic movement and vibrant color palettes, while my portraits, landscapes, and master copies are brought to life with the rich, smooth tones of oil paint.

I'm at present particularly drawn to the tonalism style in oil painting, exploring subtle gradations of light and shadow to create depth and mood. Many of my pieces reflect my love for the Australian bush, featuring native flowers, fruits, seeds, grasses, and leaves, all of which serve as a constant source of inspiration.
