Ok, the so called cold start was not shown, frames go from testing lights inside garage to fully warmed up engine sitting outside ... driver is making all turns without turn signals, it should flash in instrument cluster, turns are made short into oncoming lanes and not keeping right, just not good techniques even if car is solid ... Becker Europa ops chk would be an ultimate test for functionality ... redo video ... ..

Going by his house, this kid is from some money. However, these 1970s 280s are inexpensive cars, and are said to be pretty reliable and easy to fix.

Just wondering what were the mandatory parts needed to swap put out the transmission, I'm currently planning a RHD E30 build.

The Ferraritards, Porsche-petters and the sweaty weeaboos who get a rager every time they get a chance to type or say “JDM” all love to hate on the Brabus and RENNtech V12 Benz’s because they cost up to twice as much as their brand of sports car with a similar top speed and 0-60 performance (especially in the SL’s case, although even the big S73S’s and S74/76R weren’t too far off in terms of performance either) but what they fail to understand is there is really no comparison between say a Ferrari Testerosa or even F40, RUF 911, or either stock or one of the Jap tuners / “skunk works” modified versions of the Supra, Skyline GTR, NSX, etc. and the Brabbus / RENNtech R129’s because they A) aren’t anywhere near the same class of car, the 129’s being more of a “personal luxury” car than a sports car (that being a segment title coined by Ford for the original Thunderbird) and the W140 being a large executive sedan, and B) you get “2-3 times the car” with you do with the suped up Benz’s than you do with those other cars. My logic in saying that is that for a single man or even a childless couple the R129 fills the role of both a luxurious daily driver, excellent road trip car, and a shockingly fast and excellent handling high end sports car while being just one vehicle. The dedicated sports models of the time they’re always compared to were pretty much all near useless as daily drivers, being uncomfortable to drive, rough riding, lacking in many creature comforts, often even basic ones like power steering, A/C, windows that roll all the way down, decent trunk space, etc, and virtually required their owners to have an additional car that they could comfortably use for a DD / commuter and take trips in. The specialty M120 SL’s in addition to making well over 550HP and 550lb-ft, having a 210+ mph top speed, <4.5 second 0-60 time, massive brakes, and impressive skid pad numbers also had super comfortable 12 way power leather seats, excellent climate control / air conditioning, top-of-the-line sound systems, tons of leg, arm and hip room for even large men to drive in comfort and space to bring along luggage or golf clubs with ease, a great 5 speed automatic transmission, excellent sound insulation and much more that made them a pleasure to drive even in gridlocked city traffic on a 100 degree summer day.
