Maggie Island Trees for Barramundi
We try the Magnetic Island treeline on a big 3.4m tide. Barramundi do inhabit this area on big tides, but its usually best on the outgoing tide as the fish push out with the falling water level. Just don't get stuck there.

After plans to fish secret spot number 82, an alam error meant a late start. So Andrew and I decided to fish locally. Turns out no harm was done and we had a great little session. Supported by Snowy River Townsville snowyrivertownsville.com.au/

Took both kids wide to 'fish for a month' to see if the Mackerel were still around. Didn't see a single one, but managed a couple from the bottom including this big cod.

Nice, was this today or saturday? I went this morning but zilch.
Yesterday mate. Hard work.
@@fishingtownsville i cast into more trees than the water today with the strong northerly. Made it difficult.
Nice
Thanks. Not a big fish, but one to get the monkey off his back.
Nice work mate, it's aways fun beach fishing.
Good for the soul mate.
Nice work mate, getting it done.
Feels like I'm getting some mojo back.
Some nice fish there - can’t beat a barra on your first cast! Well done!
Definitely not something that happens very often!
Nice one, drove past you guys on saturday morning but didnt get anything unfortunatly.
Thanks mate, we had a blast hey.
Last Monday we had heavy rain in my local area which was Burleigh Waters only lasted 5 minutes but extremely heavy and windy it comes down to being localised and it was not predicted
Very interesting. I reckon we are in for a good wet season this year.

And thoroughly enjoying it.
Get the dog!!!
Well done 😊
Thank you! Cheers!
Hey mate, good vid. Yeah, the channel can be very challenging at times. I find I have better results fishing the drop offs. And staying close to the bottom. We will have to go for a flick one day mate.
I look forward to it. I really didn't give it long enough. If I don't have confidence I give up quickly.
Strange thing is you probably drove past 20 barra on your way out lol
It's true, I am always wondering how many I am driving past.
❤
Another good vid , well done
Thanks mate, glad you enjoyed it.
The legend is back!!!!!
You crack me up. 😆
That swirl looks like you hooked a nuclear submarine. Good stuff!

Good luck in your quest.
Beautiful fish.
They are an iconic species. My favourite.
Wow I go fishing and that’s probably the biggest Barramundi I’ve ever seen
They grow a lot bigger mate. But fun at any size.
They're in the gold coast waterways now
That would be awesome. A positive of global warming maybe.
Great to see you back into it mate, great fishing
Thanks mate. Hopefully lots more to come!
Nice video mate!
Glad you enjoyed it
No vids for many years, then 2 in a few weeks!! Great to see your back!!
Thanks. Took a break for a while. Been posting on Facebook.a bit. But keen to get back to RUclips again.
Looks a good creek, good looking snags! Well done
It sure is! One of my favourite places.
Dont come back in on a low/ low tide
Hey mate a friend of my owned one of these boats and they told me that the storage compartments get wet when you wash the boat down and they had to take everything out of the boat first is this common. I see seachange taken over this hull design now because I was thinking of getting one.
cunts who litter at creeks need to be killed
Mal... Where are you? Where have you gone mate?
Hey mate would this be suitable to take out to the reef also?
And try the back way in
Try after covid 19 is over

*Ive had this reel for a few years now>>>**allabout.wiki/thng** and ive put it through alot of stress and fish, still works like a champ. From big tarpon to snapper and grouper it can handle a beating!*
Mate, this is an excellent review and in fact one of the best I've seen even by the so called experts. I'm currently in the market for one of these and this helps a lot. Thanks.
Hi, and greetings from NZ. Very good review. Quick question, your console are they available to be purchased?
Some of us have the skills to properly change an EPIRB battery. Just as we change car and boat batteries. Often for $60-70 US, done same as original. Of course, ten of thousands of people also go to hospitals after trying to jump start a car and having the battery explode. Skill levels vary.
Hope the guy holding the jet ski, knows that there was a big 5m croc that chased people up that boat ramp 😁😂
Bloody oath
Recently started fishing again, good to see a local channel for some tips and locations. Cheers mate.
Good to see kids getting involved and catching big fish
SWB AKA salt water beast 🙌🏿👌🏿
pretty place
who actually uses their right hand for retrieving? i tkink its better to use your dominant hand (useually right) for holding the rod. i think its better for steering fish and feeling down the line.
Jerona?
The bloke in the water with the jet ski is keen! Croc country1
Did you kill the talipa
nice vid 👌 but that music was 💩 lol
that's where I launch I caught a 53cm grunter the last time I was there
