Why you guys never show how to remove the snap ring?
The snap ring removal process for the cushion spring, if that is the one you're referring to, is reasonably straightforward; there isn't anything to do other than pick the snap ring out of the groove and clean the area, if needed. Hope this helps It's a Great day to fix transmissions :)
Good day. What fix if i have drive gears but no reverse? What seems to have a problems. My transmission is like this.
Unfortunately, your transmission has an internal issue. Sorry man :( if you're in the states www.atra.com/ShopFinder
@atra-automatictransmission1300 I think maybe it's the bonded piston is the culprit.
dropped a shuttle key out of the lower valve body. I was stuck, knowing I couldn't assemble it until I figured out were that key came from. At 19 minutes, you showed where it came from. THANK YOU!
I'm glad I could help you out! You're not alone. I've been there!
Great video, thanks!
Glad you liked it!
Hi gay, do you know. My toyota 2011, hit 2-3 upshift, don't have codes. Greetings
Try getting it serviced. What's your mileage/Km? Maybe a programming issue?
Question I have a gen 1 and a gen 2 transmissions where the valve body bolts onto the transmission the fluid passages are the same can I swap out the gen 2 valve body and install the gen 1 valve body and TCM ? Because by looking at the Internals of both transmissions they look identical as the gen 1.
Unfortunately, Gen 2 uses variable feed solenoids, while Gen 1 uses variable bleed solenoids. Programming is also different for each.
Thank you for posting this. Im having a no reverse and only does about 20 miles a hour in limp mode i think.
It sounds like the 3-5-R has failed, or a Sun shell, I would recommend finding one of our shops www.atra.com/ShopFinder
Is this gearbox on the Roq or Xtrail from the 2021 model and above T33 engine 2500 cc?
Unfortunately, no, this is RE0F10E/JF011E. It goes in the Sentra 20-21 2.0L and Altima 07-13 2.5L-3.5L
Outstanding video, always great information!!! Thanks for continuing to assemble these tutorials, they are awesome!
Thank you, very informative!
I'm happy you enjoyed it!
How can i pull out the valves in the valve body?
Once the VB is removed, take the plate off and then remove the end plug clips to remove the valves
Am i correct in assuming the secondary pressure solenoid is " solenoid pressure B"?
Yes, you'd be correct. Depending on the source they will list them as SS1/SS2 or SSA/SSB or primary/secondary
@atra-automatictransmission1300 i took apart my valve cover and 2 valves were stuck abd wouldn't spring back (the ones with the weaker springs. I took them out gave them a good cleaning. Put everything together. Drove the car. A lot better driving but still judder. Do I need to reprogram it?
Good
Is there any way to get a copy of the slide show? I'm trying to peace together a heavy 66 using aftermarket 68 parts. Ive gained a lot of great information and have the book on the way also.
Around 16 minutes in the slides are jumbled making it a little harder to see what to look for. Hoping to not purchase a 68 to dissect.
I have the PDF for you what's a good email?
Excellent video
Thanks for watching!

Hello, I have a question. There is a humming sound in the Nissan X Trail 2016 automatic transmission. Everyone says it is normal between 20/40 km/h. What is the solution? It does it even when you slow down. Dizel No, it works fine, there is no knocking or anything, the sound comes from the gearbox, how much is the gearbox oil in the front? They put 7 liters after the repair.
A humming noise can indicate a number of concerns, and it could be normal. Usually, I would first start looking at your tires. Your tires can adversely affect the sound. If it is a solenoid buzzing, that can be normal; other than that, noises are the hardest thing to find. I'd take it to a shop and have them put it in the air. Maybe the sounds will be more prominent. www.atra.com/ShopFinder
Can I still get the referenced PDF of the slides?
Sure fill out this form www.atra.com/TechAssist
Hello, I have a question. There is a humming sound in the Nissan X Trail 2016 automatic transmission. Everyone says it is normal between 20/40 km/h. What is the solution? It does it even when you slow down.
Is the humming coming from the front or the rear of the vehicle? are there any symptoms, like harsh shifts or something like that?
@@atra-automatictransmission1300No, it works fine, there is no knocking or anything, the sound comes from the gearbox, how much is the gearbox oil in the front? They put 7 liters after the repair.
I would like to send you the humming sound video, how can I send it?
your video at the 3:01 mark is CONTRADICTORY to other videos that are on the internet-one by a transmission builder.. He states the separator plate goes on 1st-directly against the valve body with NO GASKET between the sep. plate and the valve body, then 2nd the valve body gasket goes on, then 3rd the clamping plate......... WTF????!!!!! What is the proper sequence? I don't want to have to pull the valve body again for simply putting the gasket in the wrong location... HELP!
Thank you for reaching out to ATRA, we appreciate your comments. Upon further review, the correct order is plate first then the gasket then the clamping plate. Thanks again for pointing that out and do not hesitate to comment in the future. Thanks for watching! Bill Brayton
@@billbrayton3748 Thank you for taking the time out to reply-it's rare these days that anyone helps people. I got it figured out-in my situation I did end up using a gasket on BOTH sides of my separator plate, and also a gasket between my transfer plate and VB on the other side of the valve body. The rebuild kits are now coming with these "extra" gaskets to use in those locations to account for wear on the valve body due to expansion and contraction, and the "rubbing" that occurs.
i got an 06 tundra that damn near chrips the tires on the 4-5 downshift, has a soft 4-5 upshift, and has a shudder on the 1-2 upshift at low throttles (this kinda fixed itself, but the shift is definitely still soft), it threw the p2714 code and went into limp mode for a while. now the code and limp mode is gone... I tried to diagnose the solenoids, but after measuring and testing them all, they seemed perfect. the problem is kinda my fault, both of the problems started when I torque braked it and the RPMS flew up, I tried to figure out what was going on from this video but assuming the 1-2 and 4-5 shift problems are related due to the initial failure, I came up with nothing. does anyone have an idea of what is going on here.
More than likely, you broke a one-way clutch/sprag; it's internal. Here's our website to look for ATRA shops nearest you. www.atra.com/ShopFinder
Is the rebuild book still available for the 722.9?

This is great information. Gives me a few clues as to what may be going on with my transmission and how to deal with it in terms of who I can trust to fix it without being shafted (Western Australia).

No lube on the shift shaft?
Hello sir! My name is Assyl. Thank you for your videos! I'm from Kazakhstan. I have a Nissan Quest 2012. And I have a problem with cvt transmission jf010e re0f09b. Can you tell me please, what transmissions are suitable for my car? Thanks a lot!
You can try to modify a RE4F04A or the Ford 4F27E, but other than that, it's made for the CVT unit,...
@@atra-automatictransmission1300 thanks for your help sir!
Thanks
Thanks!
Hello, I’m having issues with the automatic transmission on my 2016 Opel Astra. During acceleration, the transmission slips a bit, and the diagnostic tool shows error code P0741. I would like to replace the Control Module with Solenoids in the transmission, but before ordering the parts, I want to be sure whether my transmission is GEN1 or GEN2 so I can order the correct parts. The information on the transmission plate is as follows: 6T45 6NLW 616NLWR6053A3432 Thank you in advance for your response. Best regards, Aldo
Here's a quick guideline from one of our suppliers, www.sonnax.com/tech_resources/170-gm-gen-1-2-3-6t30-6t40-6t45-6t50-series-identification-guide
And P0741 is a torque Converter or Ratio code...
Wow. Thank you. i have an LX570 that wont engage reverse gear. It just revs when you put it in reverse. Drive gear however has no issues. Drives perfectly normal just wont reverse. Could you tell which solenoid could be the culprit?
Probably not a solenoid, to verify, disconnect the harness, if you still don't have reverse you should have it looked at www.atra.com/ShopFinder

Recently had a problem with 06 Gx470 A750F stating shift solenoid B control circuit low, replaced the S2 but problem did not go away, wiring and everything is intact. No slipping from transmission, only makes a loud thump from reverse to drive vice versa. Any solution? Would replacing the valve body solve this?
Usually circuit low issues are voltage issues between the TCM and the solenoid. I would verify the voltage at the harness during operation. Should be pion 15 at the transmission harness and the E6 ECM connector pin 10 Shifting from 1st to 5th is performed in combination with "ON" and "OFF" operation of the shift solenoid valves SL1, SL2, S1, S2 and SR which are controlled by the ECM. If an open or short circuit occurs in either of the shift solenoid valves, the ECM controls the remaining normal shift solenoid valves to allow the vehicle to be operated smoothly (see FAIL-SAFE TABLE ). If you need anything more fill out this from and we can assist you www.atra.com/TechAssist

No, you have a 4 speed this is a six speed two totally different units
very detailed video, i am working on a 2013 fusion that only has 49k miles. Owned by a retired guy. don't believe has ever seen any abuse. So the complaint is that on occasion there is a delay shift into reverse. never happens when cold only happens when warmed up and the issue can disappear for weeks and happens again. I had it on the shop and i put into reverse and nothing happens, apply a little throttle and it bangs in violently, then its fine again. a friend of mine suggested replacing the B solenoid. any thoughts?
also, no codes
everyday, "before you start it" check the fluid level, if the level is really high you might have a drain-back issue this can be caused by a valve in the VB being worn out and leaking off converter fluid, once it charges you wont have issues for days, this should only happen when it's been sitting for a couple days or a long period of time
This is a picture webinar you do not see any physical disassembly!
