@@Tommy-sy2yr yes they do. It's entertainment for those of us who don't have gold bearing gold near us. Paydirt vendors will always make more money, but it's no different than a casino or lottery. The house always wins, but a few make out like a bandit.

@@americaswildestprospector it's a great spot for crevicing. Not very good if you want to just run buckets of pay. You have to work to get your pay.

@@Bandit_Prospecting Actually the gravel bar as a whole is disappointing. It and another one are the result of two big floods which swept much richer ground ( and more easily workable) downstream. In the 80s my current wife, then girl friend, used to work the upper gravel bars for 4-5 hours and get an average of 1/2 oz classifying to 1/2 in minus and running an A52 Keene sluice. We had a few 1 oz plus days as well. Hence the title of my video Looking for the pay streak. Still though it is decent. In the right spots a 3 ' x 3 ' area digging 2 feet down can yield 1+ grams and the chance to always find a 1/2 g flake or better. I have a good idea looking at LIDAR where a lot of that good gold went and is still laying. Thing is I am not going to dig 12-15 feet to get it. But, I still enjoy videos like yours as it really is just a day o nthe river with bonus! Too bad lead isnt $2000 + and oz ;)

@@christopherfoster2112 no worries about big nuggets; there aren't any! A picker is very rare. If I found a nugget, I'd suspect a sasquatch riding a unicorn would be very shortly behind.

We didn't hunt hard either. Many people filled 5-6 buckets. It was super fun!
