Unboxing and Review of HUGOAI RGB Lamp (Non-Smart Version)
Просмотров 3,4 тыс.4 года назад
follow for good luck • Instagram - hellomichaelparker I recently got this new HUGOAI Lamp (Non-Smart/Non-Wifi/Non-Alexa version) from Amazon help with the lighting for future videos. And this lamp is pretty cool - its wireless, changes colors, and has a timer. This HUGOAI Lamp is probably the best wireless lamp I've come across at a relatively cheap price. Note this is the NON-Wif...
Berklee Online is useless and a money grabber.
I want to do offline courses how can I do ?
I had a phenomenal experience with Berklee online over almost 3 years. I have left most of my musician friends in the dust and they all look to me to lead most musical experiences now, I can translate to almost any instrument, I react and respond far better in a live situation, and I just have so much more fun always feeling comfortable and at home in music. I know peoples' mileage may vary but it's THE best thing I've done for my musical life since I picked up my first instrument 36 years ago.
Lovin the Jergins lotion beside the bed, you're my people bro. Thank you for the video.
thanks for sharing, it's super helpful!
my advice mike--presentation..comb yr hair, wear a nice shirt, take a speech class as u throw yr arms about.
$60k+ to teach yourself is NOT worth it. You are basically paying a "Bribe" to get 120 credit hours
did you find it annoying to read through lessons instead of just seeing a video and then doing something for the lesson? that's the one thing that is stopping me. having to READ. I rather watch and then do. I tried the sample lessons and was falling asleep from reading. ugh😅
amazing.hope to hear more about your education at Berklee.
Did u make any music yet? i am thinking to go for ableton and electronic production 1 and 2 at berklee online. But im very unsure on my path... anything anyone here can recommend? im into trance and edm and wanna learn more.
I just got accepted today! I’m in the military at the moment so Berklee Online was the only option for me. I can’t wait to start.

Why'd you not just take a course on SkillShare or like take private lessons or something? Is this thing really that worth it?
Love the great critiques of the online class. Thanks for the video. With the online classes do you feel disenfranchised from your class mates and lack the feeling of being totally immersed in your curriculum and activities? And do you have access to the labs or the ability to interact/jam with other students?
Did you get to graduate in person?
Can a student mix it up, do a few courses online and a few courses at the school? Also, does a student get credit for those online courses?
Could you introduce about the application to Berklee Online? I'm interested in how difficult it is to get admitted by a (Bachelor) degree program~
at the price they charge i wonder if anyone is refused?
I've taken 4 courses over a 15 year period and have generally been pleased. However, I don't think much has changed recently and would now question the price especially given the wealth of free information online. That said, the instructors were always very knowledgeable and responsive. Classmates were mostly working individuals and after the first two weeks there was always a huge drop off in attendance. And there was always some student who never attended any class who would show up at the very end in an attempt to promote their "shred guitar" album. This might be peculiar to just the guitar related classes. That was a few years ago so maybe that kind of thing has faded. In my view, the Berklee Online site itself needs a makeover.
P
I have taken more than 10 courses over the past several years and am now taking one, I am going to say that the courses that goes with level 3 and above (also some level 2 courses) are really worth the price, because those information are not going to be found anywhere else free online. However, if you are just seeking some 101 or beginner type of course, those free online courese or the ones from udemy will probably be a cheaper substitution. It really depends on what your strategy is in order to spend your money
@@wuzhexi4845 you make a good point about level 3 and above especially as it relates to theory.
hey man, I just got accepted into the online program for a degree in music business, and I'm really excited but its hard to find informational videos like this. appreciate it bro
How's it going so far?
Been looking into this major, how would you rate it?
Hi I checked the sample lessons online. It seems like all the classes are written and you need to read and learn by yourself. I thought there should be videos for each lesson (like demonstration or explanation of things) but not. Is it true for the online classes you've taken? Coz I'm thinking about taking classes online but I do have problem reading things online... Thx
Great commentary.
My humble opinion is that Berklee is mostly useful for the network you build, the facilities you get to use. Saving 20% on tuition and missing out on these big two don't make much sense.
Thank you! Just ordered one!
How expensive is it?
Can You tell us how Berklee Student do They plan Practice Schedule Please ?
Yay! I start my songwriting masters this month and I’m so excited!
Hi! I’m looking forward to make my master degree in film scoring at berklee. Tbh I’m scared, because it seems to be good to be in presence but online is my only option.
Hello, how is your master online degree? Feel Good? 😊
I know this is a late comment, but does the color changing mode have a slow setting? I've only ever seen the color mode change really fast.
I don't think so - I think there's only the one setting at least for mine.
The best music school in the county
It is!
Hey! I wanted to take the Music Marketing course via Berklee Online. Do you think it is worth it?
Hey I just had a good friend finish up that class and she loved it! What's the full name of the course you're looking into?
Did you end up signing up? How did you like it? Thinking about the same here..
hi is there music theory classes available there that is accreditted towards state universities?
the major difference between in person classes is you work on ensembles more, that's a skill you'll need to develop on your own (which is an extremely important skill to have), also you get private lessons on campus, which most students find the most valuable part of their conservatory experience
sometimes the course author is the instructor, but yeah I didn't get that right away either...
Thanks for the great video! I am also looking into the songwriting -> production courses in Berklee Online. But there are so many courses and I am not entirely sure which ones to start with. Any recommendations? Can you share what courses you took at the beginning? I am not in music industry, but I learned piano for a few years when I was little so I have some music foundation there. And I tried to use Logic Pro to do 2 song demos but they are not very sophisticated for sure.
Hi I did get the Logic Certificate, that is 3 courses, is great. Logic, Mix and mastering and composing Electronic Music. After those 3 Courses I am Very Good in Producing electronic Music. I Have Improve a Lot. I have a Pro Level now.
This was super helpful and so informative, thank you! I'm in the process of applying as a Songwriting major at Berklee online, and this definitely encouraged me to keep pushing in music. Good luck to you and your music journey! Maybe one day, we can work together ahh lol :)
Thanks! Good luck with your music too!! I love how collaborative the Berklee environment is, even online!
you prolly dont care but does anyone know of a tool to get back into an instagram account..? I was stupid forgot my account password. I would appreciate any help you can give me
@@michaeloncryptoandmore947 I went to Juilliard for six years. There is no money to be made in music. Please stick with nursing and save your money. The music industry, on multiple fronts, is simply a big scam that preys on people's hopes. And even if you are one of the 0.000001% who get very lucky, 360 deals will make you feel like a slave.
Are there other online programs that you considered or that offer similar courses to Berklee? Also, what are the best courses/teachers that you have had at Berklee Online? Thanks for this great and informative video!
Yea so I looked around a bit before deciding to go with berklee. You can get pretty decent specific classes through places like Andrew Huang (RUclips musician) runs production teachable courses, however from looking into it, I think it's hard to find a course where the instructor gives weekly active feedback as well as live instruction weekly rather than pre-recorded lessons, which is why I ended up going with Berklee
@@michaeloncryptoandmore947 thank you so much. What have been your favorite Berklee courses so far?
@@bdodger548 I love the "reharmonization techniques" and "music composition for film and TV", "world music style", these course are really informative
Yea the breathing was intense. Were you breathing into the mic or something? People make video making look so easy but then when you do it there are a bazillion of things you need to learn about. Did this light work well for making vids?
Hey Ryan, overall the lighting works OK. Honestly, for making videos this is not the best light to use, but if you just want to read a book this works pretty well. Let me know if uve got any other questions
@@michaeloncryptoandmore947 i ended up buying a similar one but its the smart version. I like it a lot but im not using it for videos so thats a difference
are you doing the degree or just the course?
Hey Jeffrey so far I've just been doing courses. I don't see the value in a degree. My career is in Tech and these have mainly been hoby courses i take to get better with music.
Great video!! I recently completed my Bachelor’s degree at UC San Diego in an adjacent major but wasn’t able to get enough exposure/training academically in music production apart from my final year where I was able to take courses in the music department and have access to a studio environment. I’ve been producing music as a hobby for 3 years and I’ve been contemplating taking a Certificate program or pursuing a Masters of Music in Music Production through Berklee Online. Would you recommend taking their Certificate course over the Master’s program? Take care and I hope your courses are going well!!
Hey Erick - glad you found this helpful. Honestly I'd say just take the courses you're interested in and not do the certificate's or masters program. I find the course material very valuable but honestly no one cares about a music degree or qualification, Let me know if youve got any other questions, but my rec is just take courses in topics youre interested in. Congrats on graduating from UCSD! Great school!
I’ve been looking Into making music my career so this makes me want to go do this once I finish nursing school. My nursing career will pay for my dream career. Been looking into music production and songwriting courses. Even some engineering
I’m thinking the same thing except I’m a skilled tradesmen
Same
Hi myself unnati from india🇮🇳 i want to learn music sound production , should i join this course also tell its fee structure please do help out.
hey @Yo girl Unnagi the courses cost about ~$1200 per course.
hello! do the dim/brightness settings also work for the rgb colors or is it only for the white light? thanks
Hey Samantha - unfortunately they don't. I wish they did and when I bought it I thought they did, but unfortunately they don't
Hey, Michael, enjoyed your video.Did you have to audition for the online classes? I’m trying to start this coming semester and wanted to know what I should expect beforehand. Also, did you apply for financial aid?
Hey Toren, no I didn't have to audition. You can just sign up for the classes you want. If you want to get a degree I believe you have to submit an application however if you don't want a degree, you can just sign up. I didn't apply for financial aid because I believe you can only apply for that if you're enrolled in a degree program. Are you looking just to take classes or get a degree?
Hey, I guess my original response didn’t save. I just submitted my application for undergrad online classes. I spoke to an advisor briefly the other day and he said I could but I had to check submit a financial aid application with my tax returns and all of that. Appreciate the response!
@@torenbezaro775 Thanks for the update! Interesting I didn't know you could do that. I've found the advisors to be really helpful in my conversations with them. Best of luck with your application!
I am not able to study music now, cause I feel Like it wont pay off later, but same as how you probably started at Berklee online I Will probably do a few courses later When I am having a stable job as a chemist.
I think that's a really smart move. I never wanted to be reliant on music for a career, but I really wanted to learn production and songwriting in depth. After having the career taken care of - I see learning music and these courses as a hobby where I get to enjoy what I'm learning and doing rather than worrying about how I'm going to make money from music right away.
Ed Sheeran ❤️😁
Lol
True
Haha
what about the battery? How long you think they during?
For me - battery last about 6-8 hours of straight use with a full charge
@@michaeloncryptoandmore947 and does this bright the room well?
@@Felipedecarolli To be honest - not really. It's good for reading and adding color for if you want to take a photo with a certain color tinge. But in my opinion its not great for lighting up a full room.
That's helpful! Thank you!
Thanks! I'm glad you found it helpful!
I also joined two courses in June 2020...for Art of Mixing and Songwriting Arrangement......totally worth....more in depth.
Nice! I'm taking the Art of Mixing next semester. How did you like it?
@@michaeloncryptoandmore947 Art of a mixing is best of the two courses.....but u need to know daw usage....very good course but I am also a songwriter and every week it has around 40 tracks to be mixed....but I couldn’t catch up with every week....I did only up to first 6 weeks and the later 6 weeks I haven’t gone through yet.....
@@damomani6905 Wow that does sound pretty intense. Nice approach breaking it up like that - taking classes with the intention to just learn the material and not worry about a grade has been nice to go at my own speed I've found. I've fell behind in some of my classes as well, but I like that the material is there for a year afterwards to go through it at your own pace
@@michaeloncryptoandmore947 What courses have you joined Michael....next Jan I have enrolled for "Sound Design for Electronic Musician"
@@damomani6905 Currently I'm in "Composing and Producting Electronic Music 1" and "Lyric Writing: Tools and Strategies". Next Jan I'm signed up for "Vocal Production" and "Art of Mixing." I definetely want to get to Sound Design - I'd love to learn more about Sound Design!
Good luck to you bro.
Thanks!
Super helpful thanks for sharing. Would love to see the format of those courses, the platform, etc.
Great idea for a next video! I'll do that!
