Web Foundation
Добавлен 30 июн 2017
The Web Foundation fights for digital equality - a world where everyone can access the web and use it to improve their lives. We were founded by the inventor of the web, Sir Tim Berners-Lee, who gave the web to the world for free. We exist to advance Sir Tim’s vision of a web for everyone, by working to influence government and corporate policies to create the web we want. We are independent; we are international; and we stand up for the interests of ordinary people - not governments or corporations.
Is Web3 the future of the Web?
Recently, the Web Foundation policy team hosted a web panel on the topic of Web3 technologies. Our speakers, Tamba Lamin, Cleve Mesidor, Tomicah Tillemann, and Nnenna Nwakanma, spoke about the future of the web and the rise of Web3 technologies.

Hi pluh
Good 😊
A BEATIFUL WEB EVERY ONE CAN BE ON LINE WITH EACHOTHER
Can we have Nnenna Nwakanma for president? Of the world, preferably.
🌶🦠🔫🧨💎🍷
Giving World Wide Web free to the world is actually a amazing thing to do. But it is the same reason that made this amazing inventions vulnerable to these large scale corporations which controls the internet now. If making it open to the world done in a gradual and a controlled way I think there is a possibility that today we would be looking at a completely pure decentralized internet.
🙏 thank you for sharing.. but are we safe? On Web?
"This is for everyone", I am crying...
Really nice video!!!
I'm from Sudan, I had an online business for selling t-shirts online with my designs, I had to shut down because I couldn't have access to many websites which my competitors could access for free to reach broader audiences. So I'm definitely supportive of making internet available for everyone, specially in business and education sectors. Keep it up W3 Foundation 😃👍

esto es para toda la humanidad... #ForEveryone #ForTheWeb
Hello Aunty Nnenna from the Internet 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍Meeting you last year was a pleasure.
Why isn´t this No1 on trending?
My story of the World Wide Web began in 1966 with the idea of having a data highway as a kiosk with a number of machines. In 1976, it became a company Analog Digital Transform and Today as a Media and Copy Studio Company for Movies and Photos and the World Wide Web for all customers helping people to connect and help the World Wide Web is just right for communicating with the world I love the world every human on this planet. As a result, I have international people and artists from all over the world as well as disciplines as a client, and even I like producing clips for everyone for entertainment. Hope this World Wide Web Clip is understood. On 12.03.2019 we celebrate the World Wide Web and Congratulations Sir Tim for 1989 I belonged to the promotion 1995 Cebit of this World Wide Web to the world To connect and to introduce here in Germany.
Too bad that the World Wide Web is abused because only data are collected to cause that annoyance. The social network must make it clear that what has been postponed has been released to the public! What really happened, what was made freely available is used to sue someone and that can not be the meaning of the World Wide Web !
Thus should be put up in schools
Lovely Sir TBL !!!!
This is wonderful. Sir TBL is the the ONLY unsung hero of this Millenium. Mu respect and love for you from India.
Can't hear her.
#CollectiveIntelligence !
Amazing documentary. Amazing story of humanity united through the web. Our common history and a legacy for everyone forever.
I am in awe of Tim Berners-Lee and his most unselfish development of the web. He is deserving of so much appreciation from the world, and for all of us to crusade for his objectives of net neutrality - for everyone.
I'm all for what you're doing, but being a voluntaryist, I am so against government regulation of anything.....basically because everything the government does is corrupt, expensive and ineffective.
I hit "like" one-hundred because some discipline in historical knowledge is needed. The computer has been surpassed by the web and each can be seen as a center of knowledge domain. Just as bread made by the baker so is the ingredient provided from the farmer. Know how it is all converged.
This should be shown at schools.
yes
it is i just watched it with a question sheet lol

How come it is not being played in every elementary school out there? Thanks you so much! Tears of joy at the end!
What actions must I take to ensure this, as an individual?
Thank you,Tim

R.I.p. Net Neutrality..
I thought the Internet relied largely upon peering and voluntary interconnection, not forcing people to carry your bandwidth. So is filtering SPAM or a DDOS attack a violation of "net neutrality" ?
33:18 It's true it's for everyone. It is where they want to go and learn. and Ajit Pai is trying to make it not. He's taking the freedom away on the intenet. BYE
I was lucky to meet him in the 90s for a special class talk wonderful man and has a lot of stories to tell
Thank you for investing so much effort in your videos!
R.I.P NN
The Internet is regulated in both cases, there is no neutrality while the web architecture is centralised. This whole case is created to cease and compromise internet protest by mixing adequate people with communists under false statement that government regulation called net neutrality is good and equals freedom. It is as neutral as patriotic act is patriotic. If I don't like how operator is handling my internet access I just change that operator, that's my consumer freedom on a free market.
Oh hey, the creator of the internet is speaking up against this Yea ashit die is dead
It dissapoints me that Despasito has more views than this.
