Bostitch has had this type of charger mechanism for years, and it's pretty much the only thing I hate on mine. It's just so much more annoying to fit a new coil when it's not a perfectly straight one as you can't hold it in place while you're closing the lid. If you ask any roofer who used both types, they'll tell you the same thing.
Picked up the m18 from my local Home Depot. Looking forward to using it over my Dewalt.
