There are a number of boats called "Maid of the Mist". You can see two here. The view is from the U.S. side of the falls. The hotels are on the Canadian side.

Sorry, I knew someone on their maintenance department and they arranged it for us. The building was new and they didn't mind showing it off a little. They didn't allow us to photograph the 40th floor and that was a sight to see. The place where we went out to look at the city is not an observation deck. There is only that knee high ledge to keep you from falling off. I've heard they don't let folks go up there now. You have to be a professional company making a movie or something.
***** Thanks for your response i appreciate it. I've always said they should have made an observation deck on the tower, i would spend $10 bucks to go to the top and look out at the city. Whats this 40th floor you speak of? lol
