Back then cars bore names like Falcon, Valiant, Cavalier, Satellite...now it's "Astra", "Tiida" (whatever the heck that means), "Bora", "Cactus". Geez. Times went from appreciation of the fittest to dictatorship of the least capable and the most frustrated. I had an XB panel van in a similar, but lighter, green but without the side windows in the back. Mine was a 250, three on the tree. With no load in the back, it went like stink (in between the slow gear shifts). It was a pain in the butt to reverse park.

In late 1973, I ordered a Falcon XA GS and ended up with a XB with XA trim. The dealer had it for a month displayed in their showroom before they would release it for delivery, I was not happy with the delay. I traded it after a year with over fifty thousand on the clock.
