The Deep Waves - Original Orchestral Composition
I had the incredible opportunity to record many original orchestral pieces this semester and this one was one of my favourites.
"As we delve into the depths of the ocean, there is only darkness. Slowly a shadow appears in the distance down below. The shadow approaches, first slowly and you soon realize that it is a giant whale. The whale soars through up and up reaching for the skies. The whale is menacing yet elegant as it swims through the water with power and vigor. As we approach the top of the ocean, the light beams through and the scene ends with the whale breaking through into the air, splashes sparkling in the sunlight."

"The Cherry Hill House, owned by my Grandma Judith Yanis, served as my home here in the US when I visited the US ever since I was born. Thank you for the past 19 years." Through the use of mellow acoustic sounds, I tried to create a feeling of constant levitation, but in conjunction with a feeling of stability. I did this by using the continuous strings line (creating the floating feeling), and by contrasting it with the low pitched notes in the left hand of the piano.
