    • @Itchinforsomestitchin

      Oh you poor thing… I did a search for scrubby yarn alternatives without luck. I supposed you could use plain cotton yarn, but it technically wouldn’t be a “scrubby”. The scrubby yarn is what gives it the ability to act like a scrubby and unfortunately it is a bit hard to see the stitches while working with it - I tend to find the stitches by “feel” more actually seeing them.

      Yes there is supposed to be sound., but it is now missing for me too! There wouldn't be automatic subtitles if there wasn't sound and I have the original on my computer - it definitely has sound. I've done a Google Search and all I can find is that certain extensions can block the sound on some RUclips videos. ??? I honestly have no idea - this may mean I will have to re-upload this video. My apologies!

    how many stitches do I need to use to make the scarf for a bigger neck? Is it a 4 or 5 repeat?

    • @Itchinforsomestitchin
      @Itchinforsomestitchin 2 года назад

      Are you trying to make it thicker or longer? To make it thicker you would need to add more rounds. To make it longer you would need to increase your foundation chain by 3 per additional cluster. Does that make sense?

    • @raelynnendicott3669
      @raelynnendicott3669 3 года назад

      Thanks for your comment. It is my understanding is that the double cast on is the same as the long-tail cast on. It also goes by Two strand cast on, Sling shot cast on, and Continental Knitting cast on. I don’t know if knitting terminology has changed over the years, but this is my understanding from multiple sources.

      @Itchinforsomestitchin 3 года назад

      After this comment I listened to this video and could not hear what you were talking about. I thought maybe it's the chimes in the music at the start of the video. Then after another message from someone else confirming she too could hear the beeping, I listened to it again - 2 or 3 times before I could hear the intermittent slight chirping. I had to listen quite intently. I apologize and had no idea it was in the video. I will remake it when I get the chance.

The whole family ( including relatives that visit every year or so from other states) have just moved passed it pretty much. At times it bothers me or someone but my mom is deaf and hearing loss runs in our family so not everyone can hear it but omg!!! Years!!!!!! • @Itchinforsomestitchin
      @Itchinforsomestitchin 3 года назад

      Hi Georgia, although I do knit, I am actually primarily a crocheter. I am a self-taught crocheter and have had my unusual way of yarning over mentioned multiple times. When I was teaching myself to crochet I didn't realize this method was any different from others, but I do believe I may have inadvertently developed it as a way to put less work on my working arm. I have right-sided weakness and unfortunately, I am right-handed. I think yarning over this way with my left hand helps me to be able to crochet for longer periods of time.
