Great movie! Watched it for the first time a few days ago. I have a slightly different take on the plot that seemed to jump out at me; it's about guilt, revenge and forgiveness. The fact that Sophia was revenge for her sons murder and then Joseph said, "You don't think I done it, do you?" That coupled with his alcoholism and temper tells me he's trying to forget/deal with that incident and others from his past. It was Sophia's guardian angel that brought him to her and her guardian angel is giving signs to Sophia by injuring Joseph because revenge is what she wishes for. Joseph then goes on to die from his knife would which is again what Sophia wished for. Once she asks the guardian angel that she'd like the power to forgive we then see Sophia giving Joseph a water burial. I could be wrong but that's what jumped out at me. Very much enjoyed the movie!

Great review. I loved this movie. If magic were real this is how it would be performed. None of your pentacles, a brief chant, and a demon/spirit appears. It is a gruelling process of purification and following a strict method to get results.

This movie was terrible. I absolutely love slow burns with a great pay off. But this movie was boring and uneventful for me. Though the acting was good I couldn't get invested with the characters of anything they were doing. I wanted to love this movie. It seemed to be everything I like in a horror movie but it just missed the mark for me miserably. But of course this is just my personal opinion.

@The Dark Realm Diaires. You might not know this but Cate Blanchett recently named that as one of her favourite movies Rare Exports.

Grace is one of the greatest psychological horror movies of all time. The story, performance's, music, images, astomphere, tension, and cinematography was outstanding and incredible. It really identifies and analyzes the boundaries of motherhood such as making ultimate sacrifices and choices for your child due to a mother's love. Jordan Ladd did a phenomenal and spectacular job portraying Madeline Matheson as she put tons of emotion and depth into her role. It was decent. To this day the ending still gives me chills and goosebumps😰😱 and I still watch it and I consider it a classic. It never gets old. 😍👍💯😎

loved, loved , loved this film Abramelin is an arduous ritual, and the beauty that in the end, she asked for the power to forgive, once she is granted her HGA's presence, just stunningly beautiful moving film, exploring knowledge, occult, and loss/healing

I agree an almost flawless film. Being an occultist I loved it , but using all the rooms for the circles , and demons in the basement , 8 months of food would mean They would have to rent the house next door , just to keep the food in hahahaha

love your accent --cool room-I loved the movie-saw it several times an I'm 53 but always been a thriller/horror fan. First horror movie at the show was The Shining with jack nicholson and I wasn't even a teenager-been into it ever since.

I love this show! ITV always cancel the great shows like this and Wire in the Blood. Yet there always green lighting period dramas.

I loved this movie and will watch it again soon! I know I missed a lot. One thing that was interesting was, because the spell manifestations took a long time, I started to doubt him, his intentions and abilities. As she did too. The script kept us on numerous edges!

I am really surprised to hear you liked this. I thought the entire premise was ridiculous. A deaf person has no idea how loud they are, she would have been the easiest to prey. Also, the US literally has sound weapons. As predators, those things suck.

And their clothing was tight. So when your heart speeds up, your lungs can't pull enough air, and you pass out from lack of air.

There is actually a musical about that transitional time.

Hey Darkrealmers, this movie will make you think twice about the sounds around us.

I saw a trailer for this movie before it came out, and whatever trailer I saw at the time was so badly done, I had no idea what the point of the movie was, and it didn't look scary at all. So I'm glad you have a better one here. I like the ideas in this movie. Also, I had no idea they couldn't get into the building and had to reconstruct based on assumptions! Very cool fact!

When this movie first came out, I wanted to see it but never got around to it, so I'm glad you reviewed it and reminded me! I've always wanted to visit the Winchester mansion, its history has always fascinated me. This sounds really good, and you can't go wrong with Helen Mirren! Okay, it's on my "watch SOON" list. :)

Okay, no holds barred - I absolutely can't stand Tom Cruise and I wouldn't see anything with him in it. I can't stand anything about him - his acting, his looks, the stupid faces he makes. He's the same every darn time, just like you said - every movie, he's the same carbon copy. There, I said it. Aside from that, this movie looks really dumb anyway and the graphics - just in this trailer - looked so fake. I did enjoy the Brendan Fraser Mummy because it didn't take itself too seriously and it was just plain fun. I definitely won't be seeing this one. Hey Hollywood...where's your creativity?! Come up with something new!!

You really got to watch this movie multiple times to really appreciate all the small details.

Sounds interesting! Horror with what sounds like a bit of a political message. I can't imagine what this unusual ending you talked about can be...we'll add it to our weekend movie list. :)
