It's getting silly now, but we're finishing up the equations with real solutions that we can solve at this point. We've start with some easier examples of higher-degree polynomial equations, ramp up to some equations with rational exponents, and finish off with equations which are quadratic in form (which we'll solve by u-substitutions even though that isn't absolutely necessary).

An introduction to the upper case sigma notation that can be used to represent a sum of terms of a sequence. Ends with one of my favorite facts in math: the sum of the first n positive odd integers is equal to the square of n (it's not earth shattering or anything, but if you don't think it's kinda cool, then get outta my face 'cause we can't be friends).

Expanding through multiplication (multiplying expressions using the distributive property) and factoring expressions (rewriting expressions as a product, which is technically also uses the distributive property). This ain't just that meat 'n' potatoes factoring you've done previously, though there are a couple of humdingers at the end.
