Sifu "Snow Day" challenge - Gold
This was fun to do on a chilly January morning. I am just realizing that you can get a higher score from a strong opponent if you don't do the finisher right away - let them recover, hit them a few more times and THEN do a finisher. I believe this is called "playing with your food".

This one is ridiculous. Firstly, your golden bat is a magic wand that can hit any number of opponents at a distance. Secondly, the enemies can completely break the rules by all attacking at once without getting in each others' way. Silly fun. Trick here is you have to do everything you can to not let them get close. Always either be jumping backwards to reestablish range, or drive forwards hard...

I'm not great at varying my moves. There are still a million maneuvers in Sifu that I don't regularly use, most of which I still don't even know how to trigger. Sometimes I drop my elbow on the back of a guy's neck and wonder, "How'd I do that?" As a result, the Performance challenges aren't easy for me, since you score higher for varying your moves. I am terrible at fighting pretty much all special enemies (the big athletic dudes are the worst). Luckily, there are enough basic thugs here to build up plenty of Focus to simply stun the specials and push them off the edge! Notice how nervous I get at 2:32 when my aluminum bat breaks and I can't find the other one ... it was right at my feet but buried under a pile of bodies ...

Nope, no gold medal so far, and I did get the kicked out of me more than once, but this is my best time yet ... and there are some great moments here. Despite how hard it is, this is one of my favorite challenges.

I don't blame you, it drives me crazy listening back too.
i suspect you had trouble moving up the stairs and stuff because, if you look at the minimap icon representing you/your party, you'll notice its aligned along the gridlines, instead of inside the grid's squares. as far as the game is concerned, you were occupying two simultaneous squares (or something like that), making it chuck a hissy fit. you're the only streamer so far who's streamed any gridlock movement beyond a handful of steps around the first room, so this was nice to see, alpha bugs aside. i do hope they change/fix that odd camera jump on turns though, that's kind of disorienting. (being madly in love with Legend of Grimrock, M&M X and all the Etrian Odyssey's, i intend to play Bard's Tale 4 in gridlock mode myself.)
Yeah, I'm sure they will fix all that. As I mentioned, the developers already know that the mode is still glitchy, but didn't want to delay the demo release any longer. In fact I'd be surprised if it wasn't fixed already. Thanks for the comment and enjoy the game.

No, no, nothing bad, just thought you'd have reused that heal pillar again after the fight. Was that just a one shot heal?
