Steelers Real Playoff Contenders?
The Steelers entered the 2024 season with questions at quarterback after bringing in Justin Fields and Russell Wilson to replace Kenny Pickett. Even 3 weeks in it seemed unsettled. It is definitely settled now as Russ has been COOKING and the defense is still top 5! Only question now is, is this team a real playoff contender in the AFC? #pittsburghsteelers #steelers #nflteam #nfl #football #afc #afcnorth

    He has all this creative athleticism and you can’t ever coach that, while you can absolutely coach a guy to play on-script within a system, and that’s why you draft Caleb Williams or Anthony Richardson. The real question is should he be playing right now, and the answer is probably not, he's clearly not ready to be on an NFL field, but they painted themselves into a corner by not holding onto Fields because they didn't want any QB controversies, LOL.

    • @Between-The-Uprights
      @Between-The-Uprights 4 дня назад

      They definitely did this to themselves. A lot of your points about Williams could also be said about Fields. Mobility, athleticism, and off script play. I'm curious as to how the new OC is going to impact his development. Usually not a good thing to have instability in a system.

    OK. This is a new channel. I will help you out here for future videos. First off, a quarterback is not his stats. Mahome is full of what's called intangibles-things that make him great beyond his stats. He is a great leader. He can read the defenses better than most. He can scramble, he can throw from the pocket, he can throw in any position, even behind his back. He knows what to do to win. Kelsey is being double teamed a lot and can not always get open as per normal but he is still there when needed. 2nd. Big Red has adjusted the plays to fit what he has to work with. Noah Grey has stepped up and so has Hunt. Just because you do not know how does not mean there is a problem with them. They picked up D-Hop now and it should spread the pressure out more opening up Worthy, Kelsey and others to do more work.

      Lamar's dual threat ability makes him a HoFer. His passing is the same. We did say this was from a passing standpoint right?

      @Between-The-Uprights MVP leading League in Passing TDs. Most Games with Perfect Passer Rating. He's A HOFer because he does through the air as well.

      @@Bernard.Daniel The stats would say otherwise. He has never had a 4000 yard season, Romo had multiple. Lamar has had only 1 season with over 30 TDs, Romo had multiple. Lamar is a MVP and HOFer for his dual threat ability. As a passer he is Tony Romo adjacent. The numbers are what they are. We go further in depth on the full video on our channel. The games track. Romo also didn't play some his first 6 seasons. Numbers are what they are. Passing accuracy was always his biggest question. From the looks of it, it still is.
