The technology is never creepy, what is creepy is the human self-awareness. Especially, that makes human beings afraid of the self-awareness and self-evolution of artificial intelligence can cause machines to control human beings. Then humans actively connect to the machine and cause the machine to control humans.

I would never consent to that, it raises too many privacy concerns. A student doesn't need a webcam just to observe a lecture. The NY Post article said "online courses don't work." By what measure have you determined that? So your solution is to put MORE pressure on the students, nevermind the teacher may be the problem. Btw, this technology considers you as not paying attention while looking out the window (very possibly actively listening/thinking!) or looking down taking notes, or pacing the room as you listen. Everyone HATES a micromanager! I'll study in my way, and if someone else isnt paying attention, that's his problem. And it's none of the professor's business until test time.
