Review of the beautiful Smith and Wesson E series 1911.
Просмотров 9 тыс.Год назад
Hello everyone Mike here from Baystateoutdoors. I wanted to do a small unboxing and Review of the Smith and Wesson E series 1911. This pistol in my honest opinion is the most beautiful 1911 on the market. This 1911 is chambered in 45acp and is a full-size five inch 1911. This pistol has a stainless frame, and a polished stainless slide. This firearm comes with two eight round magazines from the...

I'll keep my Sig P365 thanks . Smaller than the g43 with 4 more rounds and nite sites .
Nice-looking pistol
Thank you for the comment. The 1911 is prob one of my favorite looking guns. Smith and Wesson sure did a good job with this one.
It's a man gun
Hell yea lol thanks for the comment!
I hate snappy!!!
That’s every sub compact I have ever ever shot
@@Baystateoutdoors762 Do you know if the M&P Shield Plus 9mm is snappy? Going to look at them today.
@@bobbyb7127 so I have only fired the original shield in 9mm and in 40. I thought the shield was a tad snappy as well but there will always be a negative to a small ccw gun. The bigger the gun the less snap but it makes concealing an awful experience. The shield is an awesome reliable gun.
It's only snappy if you don't know what you're doing
I agree that the Glock 43 is ultimately perfect. I have a shield plus, 4inch PC shield, m&p 2.0 subcompact, LCP max, yet carry the G43 or 42 everyday without hesitation. Small, light. Ultra reliable. Perfect. Interested in the 26 but the slim line 43 just disappears.
Thank you so much for the comment! The 43 is perfect for anyone who just wants a reliable comfortable gun to carry.
@@Baystateoutdoors762 great video man so glad I could comment
Fix the audio before making excuses for the baby mag bro jk jk nothing wrong with 5 rounders. Also what difference does the loaded vs unloaded make? I posted a video shooting full auto no problem?
Hahaha sorry I didn’t even realize the audio was bad. I already got a strike against me for a mag having ammo in it and not being at a range I got ratted out as being unsafe. I also am being told I’m no longer allowed to show high capacity mags anymore but unsure if it’s true. I Havnt made a video in a bit maybe I should start it back up.
@@Baystateoutdoors762 That’s wild man, either way keep shooting brother!
you need a leather holster for it
That I do! Do you have any recommendations?
samurai sword and my predator axe 🪓 useable replica and a I have a deer Fox Chihuahua terrier next to me and pitbull im great as long as I'm in trenches I'm doing good
I totally agree I carry the glock 43 also !!!
@@smjmartialarts1438 hell yea it’s just perfect. I’m sure other guns are amazing as well but I just trust Glock!
Good call. They just work and you don’t have to worry about anything
@@sazarac28 I couldnt agree more!!!
I'm hoping to get one this weekend (tax-free weekend). Did you notice the laser etching on the slide wearing off since you've had it? I've watched several videos on this model, only one mentioned it. Just curious.
I have very low round count and have never holstered it before but so far looks like the day it was purchased. The recoil spring was very stiff before I put a few hundred rounds through it but still shot without a failure.
@@Baystateoutdoors762 Awesome, sounds good enough to me. Thanks for the quick reply too!
@@ironhead37 anytime! Thank you for the comment and support.
Hello sir , some reviewers says that slide is bit hard n trigger is bit hard .. Plz clearify with your opinion ,, coz i like this gun , but confused
The slide is def stiff when the gun is not broken in but it loosens up nicely after some rounds. The trigger is absolutely amazing!
I use Brake Parts Cleaner - Non-Chlorinated and once it's cleaned I spray WD40 than wipe dry.
Thanks for the advice I will try that! Now that I’m living in a commie state that I never will be able to buy them again most likely I have to take care of them lol
Haha that’s not where I thought this was going. 😂
Hahahaha thanks for the comment. It’s hard coming up with dumb ways to make shorts lol
Vedder Lighttuck is my favorite holster, and the claw makes a world of difference.
Hell yea it’s amazing thank you for the comment
Shield Plus beats the brakes off this obsolete pos……especially with the brand new Shield Plus Performance Center Carry Comp just released today.
Hmm I’ll have to check it out.
I want to get these for a Bersa 380
I love them but they def take allot more practice to be proficient at like a normal 3 dot site. I put them on all my Glocks.
I tried the 43. The recoil is ludicrous because it’s such a light gun. I carry the ruger lcp2 or my old standby colt detective special which I bought in 1973.
I never minded the recoil but I’ll tell ya I do miss my revolver. I still think everyday with buying another one for the collection. I had a smith 640 in 357. I was very inaccurate with the snap and double action only. It was clearly user error and not enough training on my part.
a trombone is crazy
Agree. I have all the Glocks. I carry the 43 when I walk and the Glock 19 when we go out. I keep fit so I am able to appendix carry my 19 as well as the 43X. I recently purchased a Glock 25 in .380 a great gun too. No recoil and 16 rounds too. Have an awesome day. 😊
Thank you for the comment and support! Can’t go wrong with a Glock!
You can put mag extensions on the 43 and make it bigger if necessary. But you can't make the 43X smaller no matter what you do. 🤷 🤔
6 or 7 rounds are enough if you live in city like Mayberry.., but if you have to commute in urban cities, low capacity won’t do it. these criminals have GLOCK switches and Extendo‘s. And because of that, I moved from my M&P Shield 2.0 to a Sig P365X for the summer. and winter I carry a Glock 43X mos with the shield arm Gen3 15 round mags
How ,any bullets do you need?
I like em because I used em on battlefield hardline
40
Thank you for the video and the information you gave. I have the 43 and i simply love it. I carry it on my leg and I cant even tell it is there and not even sure as to why people hate on this gun. It's my 2nd favorite Glock. My favorite is my G17 Gen5. I carry it on my side in a nice Safariland holster everyday. Love these 2. I'm gonna get a 43 for my wife to replace her LC9S on her ankle and she carries her G17 Gen5 as well. I like unity in pistols when it comes to carrying. Thanks again my friend.
Thank you for the kind words and support!!!!
The glock 43 is not the smallest in the glock family the glock 44 is,
The Glock 44 is the smallest caliber but much bigger gun? The Glock 42 is the smallest.
A beautiful pistol indeed!
Extra mags are for mag failures not necessarily extra ammo,
That’s a good way to look at it
I carry a Ruger SR40c but I’m looking to pick up a bodyguard for myself
I made fun of them for years but now it’s a must have gun.
You should take a look into the SCT43 frame. itll let you basically have both a 43 and 43x for cheaper than buying a 43x and you can swap over your 43 upper.
Hmm that’s a great idea is it a ffl item?
@@Baystateoutdoors762 yes sir serialized frame
LOL
The Sig P365XL is a higher quality EDC.
I would carry a Glock 19 if I was going down the xl route but I am intrigued by the 365 it feels great in hand.
😂 bs
@ryanranard5187 Ahhh here's the drooling fanboy stuck in the past.
@@johnhatchel9681You sound like a Sig fanboy 🤷🏻♂️
WhT about daylight
Daylight looks good because it’s such a big site picture. They def take time to get used to though. Practice is needed.
I’m thanks
Glocks are not known for accuracy. I have a S&W shield which is not as snappy as the Glock with better accuracy.
I personally shoot my 43 better than a shield but If that’s the gun you shoot the best then I would stick with whatever is more accurate for you. I’m in mass so buying free state stuff with no safety is so expensive. I started shooting Glocks from the beginning. I’m very intrigued by the sig 365 I just wanted to wait for all the bugs to get worked out.
That's an ignorant comment.
💯
Question is it bright out doors… I do not like the real sight so can I keep the flock factory rear sight
Honestly it prob wouldn’t work because your suppose to put the golf ball on the tee. It’s like a small line in the back to line up with the circle. There perfect for getting on target extremely fast. In the beginning your groupings will definitely be off compared to a three dot site. If it’s a self defense gun I recommend them.
Gawd damn
This is the variant I want. Looking around they seem to be kind of overshadowed by all the fancy performance center and pro series models with scandium frames and ported slides and all those things I don't want, I just want the all steel most inexpensive E series, I think they're going for around 1100, i'll keep looking
Yea that’s exactly why I bought the normal e series. I don’t need fancy porting or the cool looking rounded butt on some of the models. I honestly don’t carry 1911s but I love to shoot them. The normal e series shoots like a dream. I have shot many 1911s and this holds its own. Thank you for the support and comment.
I haven’t seen a plastic S&W case in years! I thought they did cardboard for everything now
They seem to still have pride in there better quality guns! Thanks for the comment
I just bought the engraved model, paid $1480 with tax and it came with a wooden case and a plastic carry case. The wooden case has Smith and Wesson engraved on the top and is beautiful. Suggested retail is $1329.00
Damn I just bought some for my g20 they are not that bright
No buddy I am just trolling if you shine a a flashlight at them they glow really bright.
Beautiful gun I have one just like it. I’m like you I paid around $700 for mine and they are going for over $1000.
Yea for the price you really can’t go wrong. There are way to many guns on my bucket list but with a blue collar paycheck and a family it’s tough lol
Its unbelievably dangerous and dumb. Any guy who does this low key wants to become a woman 🧔 ➡️👩
Nice review man!
Thank you brotha
I got the E series TA and love it ! Also in Mass
Hell yea man. Gotta collect all the good stuff before we turn to California.
I think you put the spare magazine in the wrong way the bullets are supposed to be facing the gun
Thanks this is my first time using a mag carrier still new to me. Appreciate the heads up for future vids.
@@Baystateoutdoors762 no problem happy to help. I think you’ll notice that the retention will actually click very nicely with the spare mag if you put it in the other way.
If I’m approaching this without any previous Glock experience or mags or the like, do you have a recommendation between the 43 and 26? This would be for concealed carry tho not pocket carry. Thank you.
Thanks for the comment! I absolutely loved my Glock 26 it was a amazing shooter and held 10 rounds without a extension. Personally due to thickness of it my 19 felt the same. The Glock 43 is just so slim I don’t know it’s there. If you decide to go with the 26 though I promise you will be happy.
@@Baystateoutdoors762 I appreciate that. No range where I live rents either of these, so my plan is to go to the shop and put both in my hands and see what feels best. Appreciate your response!
What did you end up buying?
@@bobbyb7127 I ended up driving somewhere that rented both. The 26 was waaaaay easier to shoot. I outshot my CZ PCR on my first range visit with the 26! So I bought it. It’s turned out to be a bit chunky for regular carry (tho my Raven Vanguard 2 holster works great with a wedge I made from a yoga block). It’s sooo easy to shoot and can take G19 mags with an X-Grip as a backup. That being said, I’m also looking for a G42 (well, waiting for the wife to okay it) for deeper concealment. I have to tuck this behind my shirt, which I can do, but with effort. In the end, a 26 and a 42 are a great pair, and I’d recommend it. The 43 is just so unpleasant to shoot and requires that I have to regrip to keep a tight group going.
@@mlevy76 The shooting range I go to rents the 43 (and others) so I will have to try it first. l love the 26 but it's too fat for deep concealment which is what I'm wanting it for.
Try Magguts +2 for the g43 it’s awesome
Hell yea I’ll have to give it a shot
Gotta stop taking crayons to your guns
Wish I could say it was a crayon lol
M&P is way better than glock
Maybe not the bodyguard that I’m holding but the m and p line is very similar.
All the other ones I've seen I agree with but on this one no M&p will ever walk on my property pieces of junk
Did you read? It’s a joke my friend lol I’m a Glock guy!
I have Glock 19 and would prefer that actually it just depends what’s more comfy and fits you better tbh
Yea I found out real quick when I first started that if something doesn’t feel good on you it will take the back seat. My Glock 43 is my favorite.
@@Baystateoutdoors762 Facts I might get a single stack Glock over my 19 just like the 43
The rear isnt bright enough to align with the front...
It is it’s just a fake video I was being funny. Big dot sites only the center of the front has tritium. If you hold a flashlight to it quickly or are out in the sun and enter dark around the tritium will temporarily glow. That’s the only reason it’s so bright.
