Fun boards!
Not sure you can really pump a 2+1 effectively, so in smaller waves I'd be more inclined to go with the single fin so you have less drag and make more speed easily. Putting side bites back in you really notice the extra drag, but on a bigger wave you have more than enough power to overcome that drag and might even find that drag offers more control.

it's a more specialized board but works great in the right conditions.

LOve the video ! Does the resin tint make the board heavier rather than spray color ?
Not necessarily, the weight of the fiberglass that you use makes the biggest difference. We do a 6/6 deck and 6 oz bottom with a tail and deck patch on all longboards. There are also different densities on the blanks.

Great video on ding repair. How do you repair the leash screw that has pulled out of a R Series board?
If you ahve all the pieces, you can easily screw it back in with a screwdriver but if you're missing part of it then we can send you a new one. Just shoot us a quick email: info@almondsurfboards.com

I just picked up the 6’4”. I wanted to get it in the water. Not good waves at all (1-1.5) hollow but close outs. I’m 6’1” 200 lb. I was able to tuck into waves and duck into “barrels” so much fun! I was shocked at how much float the board has. I know 51 liters is a lot, but it feels like a lot more. So glad I got the 6’4”! I would definitely be interested in the whole lineup of the r series.
