Oh, those are from doom? i was genuinely terrified from what the fuck those things were. and i assumed rip and tear was for any enemy tbh

Theres an easter egg i found while in god mode - if you get in to a fight, you will quip "You cant kill me, I'm in god mode!" Which was amazing
First time I saw his it actually terrified me in game
I remember finding this "easter egg" earlier, it scared and confused the shit outta me.
its not that hard considering you can always load to the auto-saves if you hit a laser
fr i struggled a lot more with black mesa decathalon winner

you can also do it by basically sliding down the slope/ramp and hitting one of the rocks at high speed and then pressing any of your steer keys while moving forwards. its much easier and i found that out myself.
I like the bits of commentary from the devs, strange that they didn't implement something like this from the main menu and you had to go digging in the files for it. Also, I'm guessing they didn't update the Dev Room when they cast the Traitor Leader.

You gotta do it in one sitting,you have to start intelopter from start and to the end,in my playtrough i didn’t die but i quicksaved and when i hit a laser i realoaded the quicksave

This happened to me, I thought it was a bug until 36 said "RIP AND TEAR"

Whoops, wrong dimension.
This is actually not the only place in game where you can encounter these skulls. They appeared because the skeleton got sucked into Xen, you can do the same thing with other skeletons that you may find. Naturally most players would first meet them in this same spot since most will try to remove another rock with a xen grenade.
In my play through, I just kicked the giant boulders out of the way. Felt like something Bad Cop would do.

When I was spawning enemies in the console, I thought they were just an unused enemy or test of some sort and not actually implemented in game
funnily enough, but 2 days after the release, I went in the files and found the entity's name, "lostsoul"
The lost souls are a part of Mapbase, which is a source mod that allows for easier mapping as well as some extra custom entities. They're a lot of fun to play around with and use, despite just being reskins of manhacks. Source: I used to be a sourcemodder with Map Labs, who used Mapbase for the competitions.
