I read a variety of articles on this "film" after it premiered at Cannes - it sounds like a mess - an Eyes Wide Shut of degenerate scenes for this dumbed down day and age. I have zero interest in seeing it. Francis seems to have decided to do some whack jack vanity project to show how tuned in and edgy he is - but it just seems to be a looking glass into his strange take on the world. Writers need editors and directors need studios - when left to our own devices without critical input we often lose the plot. This project seems like it lost the plot and went off the rails - the hubris of FFC on full display.

Family Guy sucks compared to South Park or Legends of Chamberlain Heights tho -- FG humor is just really mainstream and safe. It will never take the nihilistic boldness that South Park.

Serious Cinematography. As a history buff, I take note of the haircuts, the hats, the costumes, the gun leather, and the fact that Costner simulates RECOIL, when firing his rifle. Look at REAL old photo images and at Frederick Remington paintings, based upon what the artist was actually SEEING, during that era, and you'll see what I mean.

I watched the preview with the Chrysler Building and Adam.Driver a couple days ago. I was amazed by it, as I had made a short film noir back in 2012 that opens with my protagonist jumping off the top of the Chrysler Building, right after he exits it's elevator. The woman towards the end who you said was an actress in the film is Grace VanderWaal, her previous movies were Disney family friendly movies. She also wrote some of the sound track music for Megalopolis.

Fun fact: What you see on the moving sign at 2:13 is a Latin transcript of what's being said by the announcer: "Dominae Dominique, et liberi cuiuslibet aetatis!" - "Ladies and Gentlemen and children of all ages". I'm 90% sure that "vos at convivium..." is supposed to be a partial translation of "welcome to the party" but, if so, it should read "ad convivium". Maybe it's supposed to be "vos ad convivium saluto/salutamus"?
