Federation Nation: WWF Program No 176 Brutus The Barber Beefcake
I definitely wrote in and got my name in the magazine around this time but I don't remember what issue. My name is Summer if you happen to see it that would be awesome!
I remember collecting the theatrical dvds when they first came out back in 2001. It felt awesome to have the fellowship movie I saw in theatres but now at home to watch anytime and have watched those theatrical dvds so many times! Still own them! I remember being pissed when they showed the trailers for the extended edition dvd set with each of the theatrical dvds.. made me feel like I just bought a lesser version.. but being a completest I bought all three theatricals (fellowship I bought brand new the day it was released (felt like an event) but after learning about the extended set in that one’s special features, I bought the other 2 used… couldn’t financially justify buying the extended dvd sets so I skipped on those because of price… when the whole extended trilogy was released on blu ray, I bought that set and was glad it included all the extras from the dvd sets and also included the limited edition bonus dvds from each set which were only available on the expensive gift sets for extended edition. Have not wanted the 4k sets as they are essentially upscaled versions of the blu ray set with some color correction applied and nasty noise reduction on all 3 films..
Yeah I remember back then always getting DVDs on release day. One of them (i think either Fellowship or Two Towers) had a midnight sale at some store and the local radio station was there. It was a big event. Great times.
Back when Diesel was Vince's corporate stooge.
Was he?
Hey Anthony Great Review The Ones In The Picture Was Jim Cornettes Version Rock And Roll Express When They Did That SMW Crossover Chuck Norris Was Promoting The New Season Of Walker Texas Ranger In 1995 With WWF As A USA Network Crossover Have A Great Day Anthony See You Next Week!!!
Thanks for the info as always. Can always count on you. See ya next week.
@@CollectorsEntertainmentNetwork they were the Heavenly Bodies. The guy on the right is Dr. Of Desire Tom Prichard and the other guy is Gigolo Jimmy Del Ray.
Oh yeah that sounds familiar. Thanks!
@@CollectorsEntertainmentNetwork my pleasure
Crazy Vince Russo was doing all this. Cornette gives him a hard time but the man had talent.
Hey wouldn’t have gotten where he was if he didn’t have some talent.
Even though i have tons of WWF magazines, I personally always preferred the Pro Wrestling illustrated magazine over the rest, I still have hundreds of them
That’s awesome. I have a bunch, but nowhere near the amount of WWF Magazines I have. I have shown off some of my Apter Mags on episodes of Federation Nation, here on the channel. And I have also done complete year runs of Inside Wrestling (85) and Sports Review Wrestling (86) here on the channel as well, like I do with the WWF Magazines.
You're right, Russo was Vic Venom.
yeah I Thought so
Wow. Pretty good reason for having a break here actually.
If you’re talking about taking the break to get the UK versions, thanks. I really want this show to be the most comprehensive WWF Magazine series out there, so I figured it’s only right to get the UK versions, and show them on the show.

The best kind
What VHS is the closest to the 1977 theatrical version?
Well that depends. Because you have the 35mm version and the 70mm version, both shown in theatres in 1977. With slight differences, especially to the audio. One of which has the 3PO line about the tractor beam and one does not. (Can’t remember which is which at this time) Most of the early VHS releases are based on the 1981 re-release which has the “Episode IV A New Hope in the crawl, which obviously the original 1977 release did not have. I’m sure you can find something on the internet (even here on youtube) where someone has gone through analyzing every releases to find the answer you are looking for. But I would say anything from the original 1982 releases to the 1995 release, you’re basically getting the same film, with only slight audio difference.
Just thought I’d let you know I’ve bin putting up some new Star Wars content if want to check it out .
Cool. I’ll check it out.
I love the constant harassment to buy them from a known scammer. Stick with them! Don’t let them go.
I didnt know that. Thanks
What was the answer for the clue befuddling
I’m not sure. I didnt do that crossword.
Bro I have 1996 wwf universal trump cards (pack of 50) for much should I sell pls tell

I had this issue, I was so excited to see the interview with the rockers, they're my favorite tag team to this day. My bff and I had plans to marry them (she was marrying Shawn, I was marrying Marty) and we were going to live in the same neighborhood and everything lol. Didn't work out obviously lol. Anyway, fan girl rant over. I really love your channel.
Thank you so much. And thanks for sharing. I love hearing everyone’s memories of the WWF back in the day. Great stuff!
@@CollectorsEntertainmentNetwork no problem.
@@CollectorsEntertainmentNetwork PS I was only 12 when my BFF and I planned on marrying the rockers lol. Oh, when I was 23 I went to Monday night raw (May 2000) and Shawn came out to the sexy boy theme and he looked in our direction (we had front row seats because I still lived at home) and waved at us when we yelled his name.
@maureenmeagher6415 thats awesome. And sounds like we’re the same age.
1st wwf magazine with Brutus beefcake
I never noticed. Thanks!
Are you going to review more issues of WWF magazine?
Yes. It should return next Thursday. I was trying to get it for this Thursday (tomorrow) but just couldn’t get to record them yet. So stay tuned.

Thanks! I appreciate that!
The boxed sets are truly a wonder. I have Cinderella and Snow White. I also have Sleeping Beauty CLV and Pinocchio CLV. I've almost bought Fantasia a few times but I want to get it for a good price. I also want to get 20 thousand leagues under the sea and the love bug.
Yeah Laserdisc box sets were really awesome. And Disney did a great job on theirs.
I have Alien from 1995 and its all in CAV format, it's not THX certified it doesn't have AC3 and its Japanese in origin. With burnt in subtitles below the letterboxing.
The only Japanese LD I have is The Phantom Menace, because there was no US release.
Hey Anthony Great Review Unforunately I Don't Remember Much From This Time Period But Its Fun To Learn About It Through From The Pages Thank You See You Next Week!!!!
same here, i know from 1987 to 2007… nothing before or after
I started in early 86 (possibly late 85) because I remember the lead up to WM2.

I still remember when orndorff betrayed Hogan; good moment, although, ironically,by the time of the 1987 survivor series, they were on the same side again.
Yeah Orndorff turned face and fired Heenan again, shortly before the first Survivor Series.
Cool stuff! Jason Knupp sent me, happy to be here!
@@TheCassettePhase thanks for coming by. Happy to have you. And Jason is the best. I just subbed to you too. I’ll be checking your channel out too.
@@CollectorsEntertainmentNetwork thank you!
I assume the Batman V Superman in this set is the remastered Imax cut? I've been hoping they would remaster Man of Steel because of its less than stellar ancient HD 4K master. Snyder said he wanted to. But who knows with WB.
I’m pretty sure the BvS is the same as the individual 4K release, and not a different cut or scan.
@@CollectorsEntertainmentNetwork , that sucks that means i have to buy it separately.
@matthewgaudet4064 i’m not positive. I’m sure there are threads someplace on the internet that discuss which scan it is. That would be your beat bet for the info
first thing i did when i bought this magazine was rip the poster out
I did that too with the first few Spotlight magazines. By the time this came out I was in High School, and my bedroom walls at that point were rock stars and girls.
I’m here from the 80’s revolution!! Nice to meet you!!

Yeah I’m with you. There are a few franchises, BBTF included, that I buy whenever they release a new set.
