Universal Removal tool for a 2005 Ford Focus ZX4 S. I removed both left and right inner tie rods with this tool. It worked for me. Being the cost is low for the tool, it was worth a try. You did not understand the concept of the filter, people think that the 3 or 4 black layer is full of oil when in fact that is the way it has bee designed (it will look like that if you buy it brand new) then the resoator has to do domething with the filtering also (noise AND in lesser degree air filterig), so ... yes it could be good for 150k miles if used in the city or paved roads, probably less in dusty areas, most people don't have a clue what a resonator is for and why it is there, so your replacement filter is TERRIBLE for that vehicle.
Soooo... What you claim is wrong. The vehicle is and has been running perfectly fine since I changed the filter. If you want, go spend the big money on an entire new apparatus or let your Focus starve for air, causing shitting gas mileage. I am getting 32 mpg and have been. The car had 112,000, and the air filter was clogged. I don't know what kind of filters you use, but nothing is lifetime.
@@kennethdaniels5834 NOT YOUR LIFE TIME, the life time of the car, say 10 or so years, then nobody said it would not work with your modifications, is just that what the enngineers that designed the system did it according to their specifications, finally YOU DO'T HAVE TO BUY new filter from dealer, I have seen sooo many owners of the car to open the housing, CLEAN the filter elements ad reuse them so the cost is only their labor (I know it is sealed, so the firt time you have to be creative to open it, after that is very easy).
If you don't agree with the mod, then don't do it. I don't care what the lifetime of the vehicle is. The filter was clogged at just over 100k. That is not a lifetime of a vehicle. No matter what you claim, a clogged filter is NOT good for the vehicle. I fixed it and it runs great with absolutely no issues. And yes, a new filter box was over 300 bucks. You are trying to sell something you have absolutely no clue about. So like I said, if you don't like the mod, swipe left.
I have one in eorope in cold.. it is for complete ideotes.
If you don’t mind me asking where did you get the plate to extend the bolts for the cable
When heat shrinking, leave space around the ring so the washer and nut have the fullest contact for highest conductivity. You don't want to end up pinching the heat shrink under the washer.
Your a life saver thank you so much I did now why it’s was a a high idle thank thank make more videos
Hi, thanks for the video! I didn’t see where you called out the part number for the T fittings. Do you have that information? Thanks!

Is it possible to put it on backwards?
No, the plug wire plugs in one way. The electric plug in one way. Mount the new coil the same direction as the old coil.
You didn't play music.
I can’t even get plastic part off
I broke mines off😂then used silicone 🤷🏻♂️
Have you noticed any significant power changes? Wanting to get some but I can’t justify 600 bucks for no change
You’re supposed to buy the additional $80 MSD wiring harness that plugs into the factory wiring harness for the coils which give the coils the proper amount of power through each coil. The factory coil wiring harness wasn’t designed to output the higher voltage required to run these coils. That’s why after a year or so the coils fail and develop a misfire. The factory coil wiring harness actually does damage and burns the copper wires on the inside of the coils resulting in a failed coil.

Thank you very much I didn’t remove anything just moved the loom and used a extension with a drill bit and got it drill out 🎉
I have the same filter in a 2008 ford focus.
Any difference in power?

How did yoy put the breather
I have one. 2005. Nice to know what's in that $400.00 part!!! What a joke! 👈

What is the part number for the Schrader valve?
There is a top filter missing. Not complete. Thank you much. Cool.
Solid video man. Appreciate the help! Excited for some bass!!!
I took a brand new air filter and cut out the shape of the box and crammed it inside. it works a whole lot better then that metal cover.
Should just put a new filter and it cost less than $15.00 dollars and problem result.HOW ABOUT THAT?
This vehicle did not come with a filter from the factory. The filter I used cost me $0.00. There was no problem to solve actually. HOW ABOUT THAT?
Lol, did you really just comment to comment. If you had watched the video you would had known that the 2005 Ford Focus does not come with a cabin filter. Like ones like this do not even come with a Filter Housing. SO HOW ABOUT THAT???
Where’d you run the wire in the cab?
Hello, could you please tell me how many miles you had on your car when you did this?
104,500 miles
@@kennethdaniels5834 Thanks!
Yeah… I’m at 120,000 miles and my fuel efficiency dropped by 20% in the last year. Probably from a lot of dirt road driving. How did that mod hold up? I’ve heard conflicting info due to that being a cold air intake filter. Thanks
Looking to do something similar - thanks for posting!
I have tried different ways to seal the fitting that connects to the shock, It will not seal. I spent over $200.00 to convert using your instructions. I feel I got screwed. That's what i get for trusting youtube people. Thanks for nothing!
So its my fault YOU are not mechanically inclined to do this? Did I force you to watch? Did I force you to spend $200.00 bucks? I screwed YOU? No!! It seems as if you did not use the proper tape? Yellow tape? Did you over tighten? Either way, It is not my fault YOUR shocks leak air. Maybe its the shocks. Maybe its YOU? Mine hold air JJUUSSTTT FINE. No leaks, No issue with the connections. Move along David Blanchard
Do you have the part number for the Schrader valve?
Its just a normal Schrader valve. They sell them ebay, AIRVALVE-SCHA-01 Inflation Air Valve-Schrader Style 1/4" NPT www.ebay.com/itm/262482764534
@@kennethdaniels5834 thank you for that. you are making this project very easy.
I don't get it how did you get the threaded fitting out of the air shock I have the same shock and it looks like it's tapered or made into the shock how did you get that fitting out of the shock and installed your one quarter NPT into the shock
I did not remove the fitting on the shock.
How about using nicopp lines. like on brake line applications?
What kinda hose is that? I like normally I wanna follow your footsteps
I like what you have done*
I used two: Unisource 4TSC Gray PTFE Braided Hose Assembly, 1/4" 303 Stainless Steel JIC Female Connection, 3000 PSI Maximum Pressure, 30" Length, 1/4" ID and One: Unisource 4TSC Gray PTFE Braided Hose Assembly, 1/4" 303 Stainless Steel JIC Female Connection, 3000 PSI Maximum Pressure, 48" Length, 1/4" ID
Kenneth Daniels I’m currently struggling with the Monroe-provided lines. One I got on the second try, the other is at 7 attempts and counting. Thanks for the details on converting to 1/4” lines. Amazon, however, says the 1/4 braided lines are currently unavailable.
@@nitcat1 1/4" nylon airline with push connectors work great as well. I was skeptical of the push connectors at first but they work very well and with the 1/4 nylon hose and you can cut to the exact length you need. It seems very reliable as well. I used it when I added an air pump to the truck. So now I can just fill or release air on the fly. Then down the road you can change over to the stainless steel hose when it becomes available if you want. Anything is better than the 1/8" line that comes in the kit with the shocks. Good luck!
Kenneth Daniels funny, after I posted my comment I decided to do just that! I’ll try to post a follow up once I get the new parts installed.
What is the part number for the T that you used? Also how well has all of this held up since your install?

@@kennethdaniels5834 where did you buy all this?
Its amazing how much the prices fluctuate on the components. I just noticed that the Weatherhead C5255x4x4 part you refer to is like $24. The 2242-2-4S goes from the JIC 37 to a 1/8 NPT female ($6.78 on Amazon right now). Then the 1/8 NPT female to schrader valve adapter is like $2.
