Witch way does the fuel lines go on a 570 can-am outlander
I have something similar but it take a while for it to blow the fuse. I’ve replaced the pressure regulator and the fuel pump not to long ago. I kept getting water in the take and that cause my old pump to give out. Any ideas. If i disconnect the pump and turn the key I don’t think it will blow since it takes a while before it goes. Should I still check the fuel pressure? Could it be a bad pump from factory? Never had the problem before till I got water in the tank from the rain.
Yes, if you unplug the pump and it doesn't blow the fuse, it's the pump

Hey great channel. Got a 2017 570 can am.. just put new battery in it. Had not tried to start it since march with charged battery. Now it will turn over for awhile then finally start. It will only run for a few minutes then dies and i can start it. It will crank over but sounds like it isnt getting any gas.

Great video. I also have a big problem with my brand new 2024 Honda CRF 110F that I was hoping you can help me with. I didn’t get a chance to ride it in the dealership, they didn’t let me. And now that I tried it, the bike kicks pretty hard when shifting. When you shift from neutral to first it kicks a bit. When your shift from 1st to 2nd, it kicks pretty hard. When shifting from 2nd to 3rd and from 3rd to 4th, you don’t feel the click of the gear lever, but it doesn’t kick at all. And when downshifting, you could be going in 3rd or 4th gear and slowing down, and downshifting when almost coming to a stop, it kicks hard as well. I would appreciate any kind of help. Perhaps there is some kind of an adjustment I can do to eliminate or at least reduce this issue. Thanks so much.
My 2016 650 xmr outlander fuses are fine but have 4.5 volts to fuel gauge but no 12 volts to fuel pump and np with fuses has really been pain in the neck before i removed the fuel pump and then i pull the pump and check volts it was fine. I put it back to gather and now no 12 volts to pump at all the connecter. seems to be not make a good connection . It ran one night for about 10 mins then it died no fuel took out spark plug got fuel sprayed out the plug whole so figured the plugs might be bad but no that was not the problem either waste of time The problem is the volts no 12 volts from fuel harness it just not there where it should be. Any help would make it easier to trouble shoot. TY!!!!!!!
do you have a suggestion for how to find if the clutch is just done? is there a way to adjust it in farther or is it once its out of spec you need to swap it? new to the semi auto world but my bike is slipping hard in second gear
Unfortunately, if you perform the adjustment and it slips. You need a clutch pack

Hey I got a can am 400 outlander max 2008 and my son flipped it and ripped up key switch and panel and dash I replaced dash and got new key switch but the plug from harness is busted need to wire in a 4 wire switch and don’t know what wire does what ?

I have a 2022 2500 Silverado and water starter to leak from top and also my flor Matt is soking wet. Dealer said it will not cover it so I have to pay from pocket.

Fuse wont blow when the pumps not plugged in because that circuit isnt under any load
But if there is a short in the harness it will have a load since it's going straight to ground
Hininhave a 2021 850 outlander. On the trail it just died. Threw a limp home mode. I think it over heated. I dont recall if fan kicked in, im gona check fan fuse. Imndoing a battery reset. It turns over but dosent fire. Any help would be great

Hi, I have a 2021 650 outlander with 600km on it. Riding fine all day lots of fuel didn’t over heat then just slowed down engine light came in and said limp mode but couldn’t drive. Error code P0231. Thanks
Hello the p0231 is a low secondary circuit. This can be caused by a clogged fuel filter, plugged injector, bad fuel pump , or a bad fuel pump relay,
@@matthewackels3190 I took a look at the fuel pump fuse, was burnt. Replaced and now starts no error code.
Fantastic, keep an eye out if it burns again it means the pump is getting hot, and overloading could be a clogged fuel filter or a short in the pump when hot.

My can am 450 won't stay stated you think it's a fise or fuel pump, it's my first bike I've owned

Fork R&R and rebuild this is both sides is 2.5 hrs so you are looking at $300 plus parts

I have a 2009 canaam Outlander 800 and has perfect for 1and a half and then it just shut off it cranked right up ran perfect then died going down the road and did wanna start back up waited a sec and then it cranked up ran perfect back to the house and then just shut off got up this morning and cranks up perfect acting fine gonna drive it later to see what it does any idea what it might be

Hi I replaced both seals successfully and carefully but…after start up the new coolant turned black/grey and milky motor oil now. I put the oil seal in very oily I didnt drain it. I installed without any sealant/glue. Did I mess up there? Also whats the proper torque for the impeller nut? Thank you

@@matthewackels3190 no not anymore after changing the spring seal and final seal it did before and when I opened it up the original impeller was completely gone! Just some black tiny mush at the bottom of the pump housing. Flushed it real good with hose before the install
@@matthewackels3190 I have to also add included with the impeller being completely gone when we went to drain coolant there wasn’t any in the machine whatsoever it was dry so now my concern is maybe this guy actually cracked it or has a bad head gasket I stopped at a Polaris shop today and they said putting in that oil seal without a sealant or glue should be fine I know it went in very well and straight. He suggested to get a pressure test.
I would say you are looking at a bad head gasket! If no fluid is coming g out the weep hole and you are getting coolant and oil mix you have a bad head gasket!

I have a 2015 with a water leak. Water in the driver side front and both sides in the rear floorboards. Most of water is in the drivers side rear floorboard. Could this all be coming from the xm antenna?
This is very possible. I would suggest running a garden hose over it and watching where you can see the leak from

My fuel pump/ecu fuse keep blowing 15 mins into a ride, unplugged fuel pump still still blows can’t seem to get it to happen on idle. Firstly problem was bogging out and engine cutting out starts straight back up kept cutting out quicker and now just blows the fuse. Had the whole loomb apart and found no fault. Any suggestions
We are having issues with our 650 Canam. There is fuel pressure. All good there but it turns over and wouldn’t fire. There is spark. Would it be something with the EFO?
Hi Matthew, i have a 550 sprtsman X2 with ADC. I had flat battery this week and when charging the battery I noticed the ADC fluid reservoir (next to the brake fluid) just above the battery is completly empty due to their being no hose connected under it. I checked the diff and found the rear adc hose connection had nothing attached and then i find the front adc hose connection has a clear hose connected that is running up and under the headlight unit next to what might be the hose coming from the top of the fuel tank. The bike is mostly used on a flat farm towing a flail mower in low range. I have no hills to use ADC on. 4x4 and 2x4 works fine. Bike has no strange noises. I haven't checked the diff oil yet, but if the diff oil is all ok, then would it matter to leave the adc unused and the fluid empty, as it may have been previously disconnected by somebody before i bought it. Or is this is a problem that i should take care of asap? Happy for any advice before i call expensive polaris dealer nearby.

The nut fell off, now even with a magnet the adjustment rod with the slot head won't come far enough out of the case to put it back on
Hey just replaced my shifter shaft on my Crf 110 and it was riding great and then like third ride I gave gas on a turn and it just stopped responding and it’s super hard to shift. Guessing maybe clutch adjust or shifter shaft came loose. Thanks

Hey I have a 2013 canam outlander 1000 that keeps shutting off on me one second it has power the next it's bogging out and when under throttle it pops jerks and all could you tell me what you think
Are there any check engine codes on the dash? Sounds like the pump is overheating, which is causing causing it to run the way it does. These are very common symptoms.
@@matthewackels3190 no none I took it to have it scanned and it still didn't show anything my gauge is stuck at zero but I'm putting in a new speed sensor So hopefully that helps that problem and I'm getting ready to order a new kill switch for it

I had the exact same issue described in this vid however, fuse would only blow when the fuel pump was placed under load e.g. it would NOT blow when the ignition is turned on rather, would only blow after the machine started up and would run for ~ 5 seconds. I called Matthew to discuss this specifically. He was REALLY helpful and took the time to talk me through the possibilities. These machines are wired "always hot", using switched ground to complete the circuits. These fuel pumps have 3 wired components, any one of which could fail with a ground fault. Final decision was to replace the entire pump assembly rather than to replace each / any of the 3 components.

yes, fixed the problem. The fuel pump was drawing too much current causing the fuse to pop

If bolt does not spin it is frozen take nut off and spray down with free all or wd40 etc

If it shifts hard into gear and gets stuck you either have a detent issue or a internal clutch issue to address this you do have to pull the clutch cover off and clutches,

Are you located in Michigan I can hook the unit up and scan it sounds to me you are having a short issue I can help you
I am located in Illinois but the problem is that I take the ATV to a house that I have on the beach and I have already changed the fuel pump 3 times after using it for a couple of hours
What type of fuel pumps are you using? Are you rebuilding or are you installing a new complete pump? Have you noticed while operating I want you to open the gas cap and see if there is pressure in the tank. I see alot of pressure vents get plugged and cause overheating to pump due to stress and cause they to burn up, also I recommend the all balls complete fuel pump assy I can ship in 1-2 business days to your front door.

Hi ya, I have the same quad, my problem is the 3rd blue main fuse at the rear of the bike just keeps popping, this is when key is off basically attach battery and it pops. Have you encountered this? Thanks cam
Thanks for the video. First I had the "reduced power" experience when water leaked into the fuse panel, and now water is leaking into the cab close to the rear view mirror. My question is....in lieu of taking everything apart, could you just put silicone all the way around the outside of the shark fin antenna, where it meets the metal?
You could do that however that would be a temporary fix as it needs to be squeezed between the 2 to get a good bond
