I love the machine but have some problems with the tension trying to free motion quilt can you suggest anything. I have tried different thread and needles as well as adjusting the tension. Thanks for your help.

The Needle Threader does NOT work with most needles. It would have been helpful to have mentioned that. Just after 10 months of owning my machine, I broke the threader!

Why won't machine grab material and sew

If your problem persists use a toothpick for leverage and put it under the metal switch and slightly bend the metal down away from where the plate sits. I just walked in on my wife holding down the corner of the plate opposite the switch for my mother-in-law just to finish a project. I had my mother-in-law put the other plate on just to make sure it activated the switch like it was supposed to, i could see the neeldes breaking! Thanks so much for the video!

I got my allegro about 2 months ago but, I notice that when I turned on and press on the pedal my machine makes a funny noise, and also needle moves to the right than back to the center position. Is this normal?

Just got my Allegro. Love it.

I am unfamiliar with tie off. When it ties off - is it a knot on the back of the quilt? Wouldn't that be annoying to have little knots all over the back of a quilt? Or are they small? I cannot imagine that it ties off and pulls it thru to between the layers. But what do I know? I last bought a machine in the 90's! Thanks for the insights. And one more question.....does the thread holder turn upright for cones too? Thanks for your help.
